  • I really enjoyed watching the family's interaction & learning about the parents' history. I am also very impressed with how much respect, admiration, & tenderness the 2 adult children show toward their parents.

  • the name you're giving them is a local creation.. in Romania, they are simply known as GALUSKA ( same name as in Hungarian), which translated, would be gnocchi/dumplings. The frying at the end was new to me: my mother would serve them with sour cream and farmers cheese, or would use the dough to make true dumplings, filled with whole plums. Thank you for the movie.. it was moving, and it made me regret not having done the same with my mother.

  • @attenis4266 Thank you for being touched by my video. I wanted to create a short tribute to my parents. I wish I had been able to film my mother. About a year ago, on one of Mario Battali’s shows, he stated there are Eastern European versions of Gnocchi without eggs. I never heard of dumplings stuffed with plums. Do you remember the boiling time? My boyfriend likes frying beef fry w/Shlishkies. We’ll try them with sour cream and cheese. Regards, Melissa
