@arise212 Hell yeah, up with the thrash! Metallica and Slayer were the first thrash bands I got into. Then I discovered Testament, Sodom, Exodus, Pantera, Nuclear Assault, Death Angel, Violator, Kreator, Destruction. All kick ass. Stuff like KoRn and Slipknot, they're pretty popular, but the music sucks. I like Priest and Maiden, who are popular, but they have talent.
@StepsToNowhere Believe me man, I'm fucking proud to be a metalhead. One of the best things that's happened to me is my best friend getting me into this amazing branch of music. Almost 5 wonderful years of being a metalhead. Fuck Yeah :)
And yes, this song does kick ass. I really like The Formation of Damnation though. That album is crazy.
@crofold Awesome, the more metal fans the better, I started listening to heavy/thrash metal about 15 years ago, when it was completely underground. Back then shitty bands like Korn & Limp Bizkuit were huge, but I hated that shit. Real metal bands like old Metallica, Megadeth, Testament, Slayer, Sodom, Exodus, old Sepultura (etc) is where it was at for me. I hated what was popular.
Thankfully due to the recent big 4 dvd & guitar hero, I see a lot of younger kids getting into real metal now.
@arise212 Agreed. 15 years of being a metalhead!?? Sweet! Yeah, back then metal was pretty underground, except for Iron Maiden, they were always popular, but they kick ass. I tried listening to a few KoRn and Limp Bizkit songs. But they just suck. KoRn doesn't even sound metal. Sounds more like rap rock. And Limp Bizkit is the same. Rap with a guitar. I just can't take it.
@crofold I'm happy for you man, this music (including punk) is what is keeping me going. Music is wonderful. It's like all of us non-conformists get together to fuck 'em all up. I'm the only punk i know, that's why i felt the urge to say that i'm fucking proud. Pantera got me started, blabla it's a long story (i'm drunk) xD ANYWAY.. make sure you always read the lyrics bro ;)
@StepsToNowhere Thanks dude haha, and the same for you. Music, specifically metal, is amazing. It does something for me no other music can do: pumps me up, makes me more confident, makes me happy. Yeah I know. All those sceney kids listening to nothing but deathcore and those 14 yr old Bieber fangirls. Well, I refuse to listen to a bunch of (in my opinion) shitty, generic and computer created music. My first metal album was actually Rammstein's 'Mutter'. Of course. Happy drinking buddy :)
i dont realy care about metallica for me testament sound better to me one of my life favorites 2 first albums ae just perfect and the rest are fucking badass
@IRONMETALPOTATO YOU shut the fuck up! I say whatever i want how many times i want, if you dont like it dont fucking read it, just SHUT THE FUCK UP little girl
You guys do understand that comments are supposed to be about the song or the artist right? I don't recall this song being by Metallica, or being named Metallica.
Agreed ! this song kicks serious anal. But, I just heard the updated version..&.. does it suck..I mean really bad. I dont know why these artists think they can go back & fuck everything up. If it aint broke no need to fix. At least we have the original !
@shtokich The one on first strike is still deadly is pretty good. All the instruments sound better, esp the drums. Only diff is they dropped the tuning. I wouldn't say they fucked it up because it's the same song. Diff Drummer, bass player, leads, of course but it's hard for testament to "fuck up a song" esp one of their own. I like them both, but prefer the newer version because it sounds better. IMO. Regardless Testament Kicks Ass.
Come on!! I think we should just stop to mess around with each other to know which metal band is the best. It's metal music after all, isn't it? Let's just be proud to be fans of the best kind of music in the entire world: FUCKING METAL MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who cares who's the best!! For once, let's just say they're all good!! Cause they're all playing metal music.
Screw Metallica. Sellouts supreme. They can rot in hell for all I care. Testament stayed true to the metal and their fans. They will always be much farther above on all levels than Metalligreed.
@agapeiron Ok I will agree on that. But Megadeth did try to continue on even though at times they went towards progressive metal, they still stayed true to metal.
Age does play a factor as well, but i destroy Metallica because they went against all they stood for in the early years. (They said they would never do an MTV video, they would never give into greed to change their sound, etc) Hell Lars was one of the biggest promoters of banning people from sharing music

@realtuncakin i dont know, he always sounds like he has his nose plugged or something. Im talking about his actual voice, cause dave is a beast at writing amazing lyrics.
why the fuck are you people talking about metallica, this is a testament video for fuck's sake get the fuck out of here to a metallica vid if you're gonna talk about them
load and reload arent bad albums but i would prefer mop and ride the lighting over any other metallica album.the black album quite good as well evn though not as thrashy as the preveious 4.i got death magnetic a few months ago it wasnt bad but i have to admit st anger was.But wtf this my opinon.
@EvilViolator124 Yeah, Load and ReLoad are my favorite Post-1991 albums from Metallica. Even though St. Anger is my least favorite from them, it still kicks ass. Haven't you heard Some Kind of Monster?
@mario1136 I love every single Metallica album. They are my favorite band and always will be \m/ Love them no matter what. Thats what a fan is all about!
@EvilViolator124 St. Anger's riff's aren't boring, but the album is pretty repetitive. I wish more people would actaully apperciate the thrashcan drums. Sure it sounds like a madman going crazy banging saucepans against trashcans, but that is creative.
@mario1136 a better comparison would be Testament/Megadeth, Metallica ceased to be thrash by Master of Puppets. It's funny how people are so genre happy but they always put those 2 in the same sentence.
@mario1136 It is, but the thrash started to die in Metallica during Master, until ultimately it was gone by the Black Album. Meaning that the majority of songs on any one album were NOT thrash.
@mario1136 I miss those times and I miss the Pre-Black Metallica, but why are we talking about them on a Testament Vid? None touches Testament in terms of thrash, but I still think the best Thrash album ever was Rust In Peace, followed by NWO....closely followed I might add.
@shREDhead44 I love all Metallica, but I do wish that they at least gave a fuck about us, and not the money only. Personally, I can't decide on a favorite thrash album. Sometimes it's Ride the Lightning, other times The New Order, and other times Rust in Peace lol
@shREDhead44 Metallica is mentioned on damn near every video concerning metal, and quite frankly it's getting annoying. I for one am one of those Pre-Black Metallica fans, and I can't ever agree with the die-hard Metallica fans that claim that Metallica is going to redeem themselves. Quite frankly, Metallica had a good run, but Testament, Slayer, Megadeth, and several other giants in the Thrash metal scene have long since been better. Sorry for bringing up other bands in a Testament video. \m/
@ChargersrBA Megadeth's case is much like Metallica's, although the reason that they would have more respect than Metallica by the dedicated fans in the metal community, is because of this: Metallica was among legends with their good albums, but with their bad albums, however they not only tarnished their reputations as amazing musicians, but started to produce all but mediocre albums. Megadeth, on the other hand, started off slow, started to produce some decent albums, hung in there, and then..
@ChubbyGregLord Hmm. I respect your opinion even though mine is slightly different. I think Metallica did make a change for the worse, but I do actually like their music. It definitely isn't thrash, but I still think that it is good. Megadeth on the other hand has kept the speed, but it just doesn't sound right. Dave's voice on Th1rt3en sound awful and as a whole it just sound un-Megadeth.
@ChargersrBA megadeth is one of my favorite bands. but i gotta say they are the slowest thrash band in terms of drums speed. as for guitar speed... Fucking Hell. I love playing their stuff.
@VictimRattlehead Except in Ride The Lightning and, And Justice For All. Yes Lars' drumming is slower than all the drummers that have been in Megedeth.
@mario1136 Lets face it making a huge popy metal album and then even less metal record, by trying to make the second one from succes of first is called selling out. And what they did next is going back to the roots, but still not completely. Only Death Magnetic is the most metal of previous three, because they didn't get that much money from St.Anger. When i saw them live, they played only the recognizible songs from Black album and did not even mention the shit sanvich that came after.
@mario1136 It's like they are trying to make up for their mistakes of the past and that's why i respect them Testament is new to me but my god i love em' already.
@jimmycrackcorn1981 Yeah yeah cool story bro. The high budget music videos make the song even more entertaining to listen to. Besides, the music video of More than Meets the Eye was pretty high budget, don't you agree?
@mario1136 Im not saying they sold out,. I am saying is that they disappointed original metallica fans. Which is true they eased into a more hard rock style leaving some metalheads disappointed. dont forgot you had bands like possessed slayer and morbid angel at this time too. Well you can imagine people not wanting to listen to metallica then. And almost everyone now is a sellout. its not about the music anymore its about the money, and no im not pointing that directly at metalllica
@cephestus Yeah, I understand some people were disappointed with the black album, but the thing is, a change in style is good as long as the music is good. The truth is, Metallica actaully did sell out, but not really in a negative way. They changed for mainstream success, which is the definition of selling out. But at least they sold out in a good way. Morbid Angel on the other hand, sold out in a terrible way. Heard their new album yet? It's horrible.
@mario1136 thanks bro . An intelligent response and its not arguing yoru wrong im right. Yeah i def hear ya. They wanted to change and really they kind of needed to if they wanted to get radio play and more radio friendly music right? that would give them more of a fan base . And yeah ill chekc out morbid angel's new album to see how bad it is lol. Again I appreciate the polite response. And agreed some metal fan boys think they are so hardcore and metallica sucks dick and all that. no..
@mario1136 Metallica went a different way nothing wrong with that. I still listen to them so yeah. Its sad to see all these arguements though, Testament... wow im loving this freaking album :)
@mario1136 Kinda did dude. Doesn't mean their old stuff doesn't still kick ass and the complaining about them selling out got old years ago. Still can't deny that they obviously sold out though
@vegunited06 SOOOOOOOOOO not true, dude. Dont forget that they still went number one with their "not so metal" albums. St. Anger is truly kickass and Death Magnetic is totally killer! I was amazed when they came out with that.
@vegunited06 To me as a huge Tallica fan, st anger meant showed how strong those guys are as a band and didnt give up. they love music and totally rock! i will admit that it was a weird idea not to have any guitar solos on the album, but im not gonna argue with them! lol its metallica, they can do anything they want!
Man Testament is just fuckin amazing! how xome they didn't becoke as big as Metallica? Testament these days is thrash sounding but metallica not as much maybe metallica can learn from testament
@mkfan1013 Im sure testament actually learned a lot from metallica, most metal bands have a lot of influence from metallica since their the best/ most influencial metalband
@SavageSlayerX Metallica the best metal band? Lmao! Metallica has made more shitty music than good. I wont deny their influence but they are certainly not the best. I give them a 4/10. Oh and slayer sucks too.
@mvallejojr Sir Metalhead, there is absolutely no NEED of this talk... we all listen to this shit.. we fucking love it... no need to bash your opinions around like that... with that being said.. CRANK THIS FUCKING SHIT UP ! \M/

mario1136 6 months ago 49
@mario1136 a better comparison would be Testament/Megadeth, Metallica ceased to be thrash by Master of Puppets. It's funny how people are so genre happy but they always put those 2 in the same sentence.
shREDhead44 3 weeks ago
@shREDhead44 So Battery isn't thrash?
mario1136 3 weeks ago
@mario1136 It is, but the thrash started to die in Metallica during Master, until ultimately it was gone by the Black Album. Meaning that the majority of songs on any one album were NOT thrash.
shREDhead44 2 weeks ago
@shREDhead44 Yeah, I know. But thrash was actaully very well alive in the 80's.
mario1136 2 weeks ago
@mario1136 I miss those times and I miss the Pre-Black Metallica, but why are we talking about them on a Testament Vid? None touches Testament in terms of thrash, but I still think the best Thrash album ever was Rust In Peace, followed by NWO....closely followed I might add.
shREDhead44 2 weeks ago
@shREDhead44 I love all Metallica, but I do wish that they at least gave a fuck about us, and not the money only. Personally, I can't decide on a favorite thrash album. Sometimes it's Ride the Lightning, other times The New Order, and other times Rust in Peace lol
mario1136 2 weeks ago
@shREDhead44 Metallica is mentioned on damn near every video concerning metal, and quite frankly it's getting annoying. I for one am one of those Pre-Black Metallica fans, and I can't ever agree with the die-hard Metallica fans that claim that Metallica is going to redeem themselves. Quite frankly, Metallica had a good run, but Testament, Slayer, Megadeth, and several other giants in the Thrash metal scene have long since been better. Sorry for bringing up other bands in a Testament video. \m/

@ChubbyGregLord dude shutup u don't know what ur talking about. u idiot
beastface5123 2 weeks ago
@beastface5123 your a fag if u think what chubby said...he is 100% CORRECT
muffinman46721 2 weeks ago
@ChubbyGregLord I don't agree with Megadeth. They have their fair share of shit too.
ChargersrBA 2 weeks ago
@ChargersrBA Megadeth's case is much like Metallica's, although the reason that they would have more respect than Metallica by the dedicated fans in the metal community, is because of this: Metallica was among legends with their good albums, but with their bad albums, however they not only tarnished their reputations as amazing musicians, but started to produce all but mediocre albums. Megadeth, on the other hand, started off slow, started to produce some decent albums, hung in there, and then..
ChubbyGregLord 2 weeks ago
@ChubbyGregLord Hmm. I respect your opinion even though mine is slightly different. I think Metallica did make a change for the worse, but I do actually like their music. It definitely isn't thrash, but I still think that it is good. Megadeth on the other hand has kept the speed, but it just doesn't sound right. Dave's voice on Th1rt3en sound awful and as a whole it just sound un-Megadeth.
ChargersrBA 1 week ago
@ChargersrBA Fair enough. I believe the saying goes, 'To each his own.' Thrash always, dude.
ChubbyGregLord 1 week ago
@ChargersrBA megadeth is one of my favorite bands. but i gotta say they are the slowest thrash band in terms of drums speed. as for guitar speed... Fucking Hell. I love playing their stuff.
VictimRattlehead 1 week ago
@VictimRattlehead Ulrich's drumming is the slowest.
ChuckSchuldinerRIP0 21 hours ago
@ChuckSchuldinerRIP0 in tempo?
VictimRattlehead 21 hours ago
@VictimRattlehead Except in Ride The Lightning and, And Justice For All. Yes Lars' drumming is slower than all the drummers that have been in Megedeth.
ChuckSchuldinerRIP0 12 hours ago
@ChargersrBA ...they started to die off.
ChubbyGregLord 2 weeks ago
@mario1136 so youre saying that load and reload were good albums? because that seems to be what youre implying smh
tripfan01 6 months ago
@tripfan01 All of their albums were good
mario1136 6 months ago
@mario1136 Lets face it making a huge popy metal album and then even less metal record, by trying to make the second one from succes of first is called selling out. And what they did next is going back to the roots, but still not completely. Only Death Magnetic is the most metal of previous three, because they didn't get that much money from St.Anger. When i saw them live, they played only the recognizible songs from Black album and did not even mention the shit sanvich that came after.
RoltonFan 6 months ago
@mario1136 It's like they are trying to make up for their mistakes of the past and that's why i respect them Testament is new to me but my god i love em' already.
Btw Who the hell compares bands?!
RoltonFan 6 months ago
@RoltonFan Everyone still does it >_> lol
mario1136 6 months ago
@mario1136 they did sell out. watch there music videos. all high budget with shit songs not even heavy at all.
jimmycrackcorn1981 6 months ago
@jimmycrackcorn1981 Yeah yeah cool story bro. The high budget music videos make the song even more entertaining to listen to. Besides, the music video of More than Meets the Eye was pretty high budget, don't you agree?
mario1136 6 months ago
@mario1136 What people are trying to say is that metallica turned its back on metal.
cephestus 6 months ago
@cephestus Cool story bro.
mario1136 6 months ago
@mario1136 Im not saying they sold out,. I am saying is that they disappointed original metallica fans. Which is true they eased into a more hard rock style leaving some metalheads disappointed. dont forgot you had bands like possessed slayer and morbid angel at this time too. Well you can imagine people not wanting to listen to metallica then. And almost everyone now is a sellout. its not about the music anymore its about the money, and no im not pointing that directly at metalllica
cephestus 6 months ago
@cephestus Yeah, I understand some people were disappointed with the black album, but the thing is, a change in style is good as long as the music is good. The truth is, Metallica actaully did sell out, but not really in a negative way. They changed for mainstream success, which is the definition of selling out. But at least they sold out in a good way. Morbid Angel on the other hand, sold out in a terrible way. Heard their new album yet? It's horrible.
mario1136 6 months ago
@mario1136 thanks bro . An intelligent response and its not arguing yoru wrong im right. Yeah i def hear ya. They wanted to change and really they kind of needed to if they wanted to get radio play and more radio friendly music right? that would give them more of a fan base . And yeah ill chekc out morbid angel's new album to see how bad it is lol. Again I appreciate the polite response. And agreed some metal fan boys think they are so hardcore and metallica sucks dick and all that. no..
cephestus 6 months ago
@mario1136 Metallica went a different way nothing wrong with that. I still listen to them so yeah. Its sad to see all these arguements though, Testament... wow im loving this freaking album :)
cephestus 6 months ago
@cephestus Yeah, I love Metallica and Testament equally too. All of their stuff
mario1136 6 months ago 8
@mario1136 your right about testaments stuff al being good but not metallica have you heard the new album??
headbanner666 4 months ago
@mario1136 Kinda did dude. Doesn't mean their old stuff doesn't still kick ass and the complaining about them selling out got old years ago. Still can't deny that they obviously sold out though
ThisIsEndgame 6 months ago in playlist The New Order
@ThisIsEndgame Kinda true, but Metallica will always be awesome to me

testament the master and his pupil metallica metallica was a shame that this is the worst commercial misfortunes
jeffrock93 10 months ago
mettlica? lol oh yeah, that band had 4 good albums then went to shit
vegunited06 10 months ago
@vegunited06 SOOOOOOOOOO not true, dude. Dont forget that they still went number one with their "not so metal" albums. St. Anger is truly kickass and Death Magnetic is totally killer! I was amazed when they came out with that.
ThatMetalGurl666 10 months ago
@ThatMetalGurl666 true, death magnetic is great. not sure about st anger though, I only like 1 tune from that album but each to their own I guess
vegunited06 10 months ago
@vegunited06 To me as a huge Tallica fan, st anger meant showed how strong those guys are as a band and didnt give up. they love music and totally rock! i will admit that it was a weird idea not to have any guitar solos on the album, but im not gonna argue with them! lol its metallica, they can do anything they want!
ThatMetalGurl666 10 months ago
Metallica died on the 'Black' album... RIP.

Man Testament is just fuckin amazing! how xome they didn't becoke as big as Metallica? Testament these days is thrash sounding but metallica not as much maybe metallica can learn from testament
mkfan1013 11 months ago
@mkfan1013 Im sure testament actually learned a lot from metallica, most metal bands have a lot of influence from metallica since their the best/ most influencial metalband
SavageSlayerX 10 months ago
@SavageSlayerX Metallica the best metal band? Lmao! Metallica has made more shitty music than good. I wont deny their influence but they are certainly not the best. I give them a 4/10. Oh and slayer sucks too.
BLACKSABBATH0HM 10 months ago
@BLACKSABBATH0HM I STRONGLY disagree with you

@BLACKSABBATH0HM WHAT?!??!?! How dare you not appreciate Hetfield...that is so not metalhead like. BAD!
ThatMetalGurl666 10 months ago
@BLACKSABBATH0HM What is your reason for saying Slayer sucks? How can awesomeness suck?
ThatMetalGurl666 10 months ago
@ThatMetalGurl666 Because their are so many bands who are simply better in every way :b
BLACKSABBATH0HM 10 months ago
