Though U don´t get chinese midgets throwing up on eachother while telling obscene knock knock jokes,its a platform that has spawn so many comedians you see in film, those films would be hard 2 appreciate without SNL..since they wouldnt exist.

36 years+,It´s still true to the basics of comedy;no re-takes,in front of a live audience,material written in 1 week,mocking current topics...great fun.
