...... They need to first value a good system (that they created themselves) and then realise the potential of standing by it. If they cannot do any of these, my appeal to them is that they should atleast stop calling the next part of the corridor (beyond Moolchand or Defence Colony) a BRT, as it technically has not a single element of a perfectly sensible system.
.... the gocernment of Dlehi HAS BUCKLED UNDER A BIASED MEDIA PRESSURE. They have not only disownded and discontinued with the concept by pushing the lanes to the left and simply painting them (like any other regular street in Delhi); they have completely compromised a perfectly good and usable bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure by pasting huge steel bus shelters on them on the side. I hope somebody senior in Dlehi Administration and Govt., soon becomes sereous again for the cause .....
Many Cities in India are planning to develop BRT system to improve public transposrt. All of these are individual experiments which will have their own mixed success stories, but the base line is that these governments are looking at a sustainable agenda. They understand that the environment and the planets resources are not ours alone, our future generations have claim over them, and we cannot - in our life time- wipe out by our greed, their chances of healthy and happy life.
i think this is most disgusting thing delhi govt ever made. there is no planning, no feedback from public, i would say it scrap act of govt who still stick to it and doesn't learn a lesson from it. previous this system was in bad condition but after BRT this is in pathetic condition, they spent crores of public funds on it but result zero, convience zero, comfort zero and most all they knows it very well but now they can't escape from it so they justifies but their useless commment. shame shiela
It is the worst coverage of any project by media. They started speculating many months before the trial run. Every expert is in favor of BRT but these journalist expert think differently. I am happy to see the persistence of government despite all the media outcry. No matter what media potrays, this project gonna be successful because this is the future!
Earlier I was hvg faith in media.U know how it is misleading us and a good project is dieing. It is hiding the benefits of BRT system. 80% road user uses bus. Govt can'nt increase the limit of road width. FP / NMV are safe for users. The entire road is bottle neck free. The entire corridor has bcome like heaven. It is 4% cost as of Metro. Delhi should have BRT design for all roads for safety. More important is safety than fastness. Anand Sharma Delhi.
so true....shameless indian media has been bought by bjp probably to show it is a congress failure....
i think motor vehicle jams are resulting due to lack of lane discipline amongst drivers of delhi...also no bluelines should be allowed in BRT...they must be messing stuff up...all the best to brt of delhi...brt's are a sign of an evolved city and civilization world over
