  • At age 83 his hands were as nimble as a young man's. Was it Horowitz saying that "If I don't practice for one day, I will know. And when I don't practice for two days, my audience will know" ?

  • look at that...no sheet music whatsover! wish i could memorize songs like that :(

  • This explains why they say Mozart is too easy for kids but too difficult for adults.

  • Wow, I absolutely love this piece. He plays it so effortlessly, it's just amazing!

  • wow it just sounds wonderful

  • lol at the contradicting top comments

  • woah hes f-ing good

  • 魔法のようだ!

  • in this world there are people who do something for him others just fuck it. That's your case Mr. kolawesome. from when dogs are a historical legend?.Just regrettable

  • Comment removed

  • Fuck you asshole, you play like a dog!

  • @KoLAwsome no your just mad that he plays well and you play like a dog.

  • he played theis wonderful piece 3 years before his death

  • You AMAZE me old man!! :D

  • im curious what it would be like to compare two of the worlds greatest musicians. to hear how mozart played this, and then to hear how horowitz played it, to see their interpretations.

  • how he play that? in 4.27??????

  • it seems the two top comments completely oppose eachother

  • @CaliSkat3r my thoughts precisely, so I scrolled down to see you comment --- lol:p

  • @CaliSkat3r my thoughts precisely .... perhaps he learnt it backstage but his effort was put in over the years getting good enough to be able to do that and still play amazingly?!

  • @SneverusSnapers sounds legit :)

  • @CaliSkat3r :P

  • He plays so gracefully!!

  • He puts so much intonation and dynamics into Mozart, it's really amazing ! I'm learning this piece right now, and I can only hope that it will sound half as good as this.

  • I always wonder why people are walking around in the background while a legend is playing

  • his fingers produce nice sounds.... that's the objective !

  • Maravilloso!!!!!!

  • too bad Jesus isn't this good at piano

  • He looks so chilled :)

  • This is played by Horowitz, but why does youtube say Yundi Li?

  • Such clear playing of the master of the Classic period

  • how cant people like this to hell with them thumbs up if im right well its true the people that dont like this are jelous

  • it makes it even better that he plays it like he breathe's or something it's brilliant.

  • А я это уже слышал.

  • @Montgomery443 what language is that

  • @TheMyelisa22 that is russian.

  • @TheMyelisa22 I said it has been :)

  • Comment removed

  • i bet he learnt this piece backstage 30 min before the show

  • @bboymango probably first sight read in 5 mins

  • @bboymango Nope. When he showed up, he asked what he had to play and he played it.

  • fuck yeah bitches

  • какие уроды кашляли .... Постоянно кашляют .... и не только на этом видео... УРОДЫ

  • At 2:00 when that guy starts to cough it reminds me of Bugs Bunny...Horowitz should have jump up and shoot him. :D He plays this sonata so beautiful...

  • @Zevyer Mind you: this was Moscow 1986, yes you can hear people cough they have a cold, no heating, etc etc. maybe we should have compassion with those people.

And yes beautiful and full of emotion - this is his first performance in Moscow again after so many years...

  • it's funny how awful his posture and had position are and yet the sound that he makes is so beautiful.

  • @justme9221 Horowitz had a great posture playing the piano!!His posture and his hand position had to do with the quality of his playing and his enormous and unique sound!!

  • Hannah Montana blows this hack away.

  • Young (or not) brilliant jews...

  • Dis man have big mojo

  • I hate coughing sounds XD

  • Under the video, why does the artist say Yundi Li?

  • pro

  • this man can play soo amazing well ...... so AMAZING WELL !

  • So fantastic ,,,,,so beautifully played !!

  • The way he plays, it seems like he's mozart himself!!!!

  • Great lively and perfect like Mozarts music. So beautiful.

  • excelent articulation, just heart touching ^_^

  • I hate when the camera shows his face and doesn't show his hands. And they obviously do it at the most important part.

  • the master of ivory

  • excelenteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • this just goes to show, if you practice and put effort into something over time there will be a wonderful outcome

  • @spoon149 what do you "this just goes to show you" are you refering to his age, if so, age has nothing to do with it. Horowitz could play like this in his younger days

  • @sttevenash When he was four years old he couldn't play this so over time he was able to. Sorry if offended you.

  • @spoon149 well obviously I didn't mean when he was 4. thats absurd. I meant his 20's. and thats still youthful. so i'm still just wondering what your point was from your previous comment.

  • @spoon149 if you put time into something, chances are you will get good at it, end of story

  • @spoon149 bet that piece was studied way back when he was 7

  • Where's the music he's reading from? In his head. It's said the maestro knew all of Mozart's piano pieces by heart.

Once, during a television interview, he said that while he loved many different composer's piano music, Mozart was his favorite. It shows.

  • Great performers inspire the positive energy in us to go out and see the world differently, to believe that miracles are possible, to believe in ourselves. thank you Horowitz, your interpretation is love beyond measure.

  • @nequillim u suk dood

  • @bannanabagle Great performers inspire the positive energy in us to go out and see the world differently, to believe that miracles are possible, to believe in ourselves. thank you Horowitz, your interpretation is love beyond measure.

  • i find this video difficult to masturbate to...

  • @jerolelmerol um...

  • @jerolelmerol you might need to use a magnifying glass or try looking on your head.

  • I have a question. Why exactly is it that you need to convey emotions through your body? Isn't music for the ears?

  • @nequillim *writes profanity at nequillim* *makes threats* *feeds troll*

  • hope at least there are only kinds from kindergarten and schools :)))

  • i never heard this song before in my life.

    Excelente !

  • 33 dislikes? Jealousy perhaps?

  • Genial!!!

  • This game is great!!

  • Para mi el mejor pianista de todo el siglo XX.

EL Karajan del Piano : VLADIMIR HOROWITZ

Ese estilo tan limpio, expresivo y claro es único.

  • this is the stuff that gets me out of bed in the morning..

  • He plays the piece with such ease yet flawlessy, and with emotion. He is the essence of the pianist.

  • FAKE

  • The diversity of the color. Oh my God!

  • how old is he?

  • gosh at 87 he's probably been playing the piano for like 80 years.... can you imagine what that's like??

  • @MrAmadeusIII still more xiting than the first time he got layed

  • Horowitz was 87 when he recorded this. He doesn't have to make funny faces to get the message across. Apparently the Yundi Li promo is an Itunes ad.

  • played this for a certification wen i was 15... not this fast though lol

  • Why the hell does this say: Song by: Yundi Li??????

  • wow that's crazy fast. the fastest i can go is about moderato.

  • @mxgirl918 its not tht fast I can easely go faster alot faster like Concerto No. 9 fast haha

  • This man has more talent in his little finger, than Hannah Montana have in her whole body!

  • @chriss1306 you got the hannah montana thing from my comment did you not? lol

  • @chriss1306

    Except his fingers aren't little.

  • Comment removed

  • @chriss1306 wtf is hannah montana?

  • @chriss1306 I always thought a hannah montana was a type of wart you got on the bottom of your foot.

  • @chriss1306 jesus u frickin' people who go hating on pop stars these days. *bawling in tears* they...have...feeling goddamnit!! btw, screw bieber.

  • who is the old man? is ameasing

  • @micael331 -.-...

  • OMG, I've played this myself, but... the way Horowitz moves his magical fingers with seemingly no effort at all.. Unbelievable! :)

  • I honestly wish I could play this good when I am his age...

  • My neighbor's kid plays it way better.

  • @schmitty135 Please dont say things like that. It's very rude and insulting to some people

  • @DanJDIII Ohhhh we must always leave positive comments. I forgot. This interpretation is soooooo wonderful. It is glorious and magnificent. I've never heard it played better. How's that?

  • @Hailstormand Your comments are flagged as spam because you are spam. LOL

  • @schmitty135 I feel sorry for you. You need to get a life. You need to open a can of spam and eat it. It suits your retarded mentality. You are such a fool.

  • @schmitty135 you are such a fucking troll, you don't deserve the right to comment on this video

  • @Negend Soryy, but you're a real fool ass tard. Grow up assclown. You still valet parking sausages in your mouth? LOL. You're just another botched abortion. Too bad. I feel sorry for you.

  • @schmitty135 I looked at your profile and.. do you do anything besides copy pasting the same insults over and over to different people on different videos? Really, you keep saying to people to get a life, which is very ironic in your case.

  • @Negend I looked at your profile and it said you're a fool. LOL Learn to play piano asshat.

  • @Negend Watch your language. This is youtube ok? You're a dingleberry fool. Grow up kid. Doesn't your mommy need her computer back? LOL

  • @schmitty135 Damn your comment really hurt my feelings this time. I'm not sure if i can recover from an insult like twatwaffle. I'll try my best though.

  • @schmitty135 Damn, i hadn't even recovered from twatwaffle and now i'm an assclown? The only option left is to kill myself. You obviously fail to understand sarcasm. Oh and laughing at your own jokes doesn't make them funnier.

  • @schmitty135

Why do you feel the need to post so often? Do you really think that what you have to say is of any value? Get off Youtube and go read a book you uneducated, ignorant troll. LOL fool. Stupid motherfucker.

  • @schmitty135 No offense but if your neighbor's kid plays it way better than this, then he should have (or maybe he has?) played in carnegie hall and be a millionare and travels all over the world! (who knows, maybe he travels everywhere playing concerts and shows up on the news). I'm afraid that the logic of your statement is false and is a bit foolish (no offense lol). If you are just trolling, please stop. I know it is a free country but what would you say if somebody did that to you?

    reply.

  • @schmitty135 funniest comment on youtube

  • i hafta say im actually pretty amazed at how this sounds very similar to Fur Elise just the flow of it

  • @matteorful Arthur Rubinstein was blind not Vladimir Horowitz, idiot!

  • wow hes sitting low!

  • its a shame because that guys probably dead :'(

  • @Alexmango2k7 20 years ago -.-

  • Perfect. He has the necessary lightness but precision for the notes. Somehow the music and his appearance are at odds and I don't mean that he is old.

  • The word of the day:

    dreamplaying

  • It's so dissapointing that Hannah Montana gets millions of views but Horowitz gets only six-hundred thousand some views!

    whats wrong with this planet?!

  • @bannanabagle Horowitz isn't slutty enough to gain more views. He doesn't even own a blond wig.

  • @kev7978 If Liszt were still alive, I bet he would get a TON of views.

his long blonde hair sways as he moves with the music. The ladies start to swoon...

  • @kev7978 don't get me wrong but I DO think he really needs a wig

  • @kev7978 i wonder what elvis would be like if he had a blond wig

  • @bannanabagle the human race is easily fascinated by their primal urges and simplicity than complexity (if one thinks this is complex).Put some bikini clad women dancing around Horowitz and you have some more people watching JKS!But then again it's all up to interpretation and what the media throws around as what's "cool" and what's not. If they want people listening to classical they have the power to make it popular because the human mind is easy to change either consciously or subconsciously.

  • @GianneC media media media, why does everything have to do with the media!

  • @bannanabagle hanna has a disny show

  • @bannanabagle

Totally agree, but how many Hannah Montana fans know about this amazing pianist?

  • @bannanabagle >> even over hunderd of years in 3011 .. nobody knows Hannah Montana . and Horowitz' still playing on youtube..... HE IS A LEGEND.

I SUPORT A PIANO TALENT GO WATCH>> youtube >>>> look for YOUReyanto .

enjoy.. it is not a horowitch.... but the work what he gonne write ......... in music and books will have a great effect .... MARK MY WORDS

  • @bannanabagle Also notice "Root Beer Mozart" has over 3 Million :)

  • @RewindBloomington it better have! =D

  • @RewindBloomington why not coke mozart hahahaha =D

  • @bannanabagle It's not disappointing. People of this world are ignorant and Art is for a few elects

  • @vinciano The arts are for a highly distinguished "race/group 'of the human kind and only that particular edified group. Boo to you noobish rock stars!

  • @bannanabagle It is because she has "Montana" in her name. The only reason she could get popular is by using the name of a large mass of land.

  • @KingSn0man how bout "Hannah Texas" (Ranger) lol

  • @bannanabagle Nothing. People don't have the patience to listen to a 6 minute piece of music.

  • @bannanabagle Because the inevitable truth is that there are much less intelligent people than stupid ones.

  • @maestredemagia as Albert Einstein said:

"there are two things that are infinite: the universe and human stupidity, and I am not so sure about the former"

    totally agree.

  • i play this piece

  • lol at youtube refering yundi li right there..

  • Horowitz's face was like "Man, so boring, I've done this so many times already that I could probably do it with my eyes closed. Speaking of having my eyes closed, I'm a little tired,"

  • @kev7978 zzzzzzzz

  • @bannanabagle Then no one would know who Miley Cyrus is. :D

  • @kev7978 ahahah yeah u're right

  • @kev7978 LOL! so true.

  • @kev7978

Would you prefer if he was throwing around his whole body and overly dramatizing his emotions like a bunch of piano players do?

His playing was excellent and not annoying to look at.

  • @LordTyrannus Since when I said his playing is bad? Since when I said his look is annoying? You need to read my comments more carefully as what you're saying is absolutely irrelevant.

  • @LordTyrannus

You didn't and I didn't call you out on it. You didn't I said he was more pleasant to look at then people who throw around their whole bodies during a performance. You need to read MY comment more carefully.

What I did assume you meant was that his performance was uninspired because he just sat there like stone and looked bored.

  • @LordTyrannus lang lang though is a different story...

  • touch. thats all i gotta say

  • this is the pinnacle of piano playing and it deserves much more views!

  • He get it so good

  • Wtf.

  • I love the way Horowitz plays the piano. So much touch! And you feel every note he is playing.... Great pianist !

  • He's just hunched over the keys and his fingers do all the work.

  • Horowitz...absolute perfection.
