First off I will like to say this is excellent very brutal stuff.. What I will like to say next is that while reading the comments some said this is better than suffocation.. How can that be? This came out in 93, suffocation came out with catatonia in 88 and was trashing shit to this year with their album breeding the spawn where they evolved even more.. Sorry pyrexia is excellent but they borrow many elements from Suffo

Arguably, the only really decent Suffocation was Pierced from Within, '95. (Their first decently produced album, too.) However. Suffocation was doing this kind of stuff since the late 80s, yes.

@aculturemind Effigy of the Forgotten, can not be forgotten it's way better than anything that can be produced by Pyrexia and any other bands that try.. Suffocation created a formula which is being borrowed by this album. Breeding the Spawn is also something that must be baptized in to your listening ears... Souls to Deny was also an absolutely wonderful masterpiece.. Suffocation live performances is outerworldly, no one band can outplay or out death this guys. Pyrexia is good but Suffo is best

Have known their name for 100s of years :) but today I tried this one out..And they fucking kick ass, but the way the songs end is lousy..But this must be checked out some more. The snaredrum have an awesome sound..Can only find Obituary with almost same snaredrum sound. Killer!!

But the MASTERCHIEF in having incredible snaredrum sound is John Stanier (ex-drummer in HELMET) His snaredrum sound & the "Stop'n Go"-guitar riffs defines the band. But this is COOL. I love Old School Death \m/
