I love that the same code was used both times. it showed continuity. Sad when they blew up the ship though.

It takes so much longer to set the self destruct in TOS then any of the other series

the weirdest part is how drawn out the sequence is. the computer takes like 10 seconds to verify the voices of the crew heh

Loved these scenes!!! Well, until Enterprise actually self destructed in ST:III (no, I won't admit I got all teary eyed in the theater when that happened).

Also love that apparently the Shatnerian pauses are necessary for Kirk's inputting of the sequence for the original and the refit. ;-)
