Drums way too busy. This is supposed to be a jazz/rock fusion piece. The kick is so fast it's damn near on top of the bass when it should be behind it! And the drum intro is terrible. Stick with the silence in the first 4 and then bring the drums in on beat not from a "lousy" fill. Sorry guys, great tune, bad interpretation...
well yes your opinion is appreciated but take into consideration that the fella on the drums had a week to learn this without a drum kit only his ears and a crap audio recording for reference even if he wasn't my friend i would still say he done a great job
@cbxsage although I agree that the drums are too 'rock' and not enough 'jazz funk', the intro he plays is modeled around how Andy Ward played it live around 1980. He'd play a gentle building roll, then an unusual, almost 3/4 set of runs that brought him back round to the 4/4 beat, which he played with a quite 'disco' influence at times. Its how I ued to play it. Have heard this intro by camel only recorded on a cessette from way back, but will now search for video.
A vederli non gli avrei dato una lira...tuttavia dopo averli sentiti, devo ammettere che la cover è fatta davvero bene....bravi!
