  • Off the pot at 6 mins. Brilliant.

  • Incredible, gorgeous, powerful music! This is my favorite band on Constellation. Wish they would tour more often. The show I saw on the History of Rust tour was the most profoundly moving show I've ever seen.

The one word that best describes seeing this band live is often times misused or a gross exaggeration. But not for this band: TRANSCENDENT :)

  • 2:40 - Best part :D

  • how could three ppl dislike this? 3 soulless, brainless, thoughtless, dickless, ridiculous. This performance is so beautiful.

  • chills run up spine.

  • this is completely beautiful. i will <3 this forever.

  • the best music i ever heard

  • the best music i've ever heard >.< hehehe

  • Absolutely AWESOME!

  • Absolutely AWESOME!

  • This is so beautiful.

  • Listen to "the drift" nice little band. similar sound.

  • Perfect song

  • Unbelievable...just...perfection.

  • this is just so fucking good. charles, best bass line ever.

  • beautiful soundscape

From 7:26 to ∞ eargasmic epilogue

  • beautiful. pure essence of the curious soul.

  • wonderfull note by note

  • I'm in love

  • This band is amazing... its a movement... u get or you dont... thanks to the people that dont get it, this makes us that do very unique :)

  • this is the first time i heard this fukin brillant

  • the bassline around 3/4 minutes is so fucking annoying and truly simple to play, it sounds like scenester hardcore bands from 2002 and shit... other than that, this is one of the better bands I heard today...

  • @jrhollobaugh 'Scenester hardcore bands'? Do you even know what those words mean or did you just pick them at random? I really hope you're just trolling and are not really that stupid.

If you're looking for music that's just technical masturbation masquerading as talent, you're missing the point. Minimalism has always been a pretty big aspect of post-rock.

  • @jrhollobaugh you seem to be the only narrow minded poo pusher here faggot....

  • @ThreeDLee09 .... this shits gay! reverbs for jews! heil hitler! own firearms! call it soccer!

  • @jrhollobaugh i will give it to ya.. u did make me laugh when i saw your comment.

  • Clever kids

  • wow i just found this band...gratz to me!

  • I've never heard a trumpet played so beautifully.... I hate all that marching band fast trumpet shit. But when it's played slow and melodic like this, it's really amazing!

  • Charles Spearin is the champion of mustaches guys.. Seen these guys live a cpl times , once with Broken Social scene , and i put that up there in my all time top 3 shows , Radiohead 2008 dallas , DO make & Broken social 06 (i think ) and Tool 1998 dallas....

  • Violen is a little over powering is it not?

    Great song

  • He's got a pretty fucking awesome mustache, too. That counts for something.

  • @bristle420 It counts for a lot.

  • the bassist has stamina ...amazing, he's all alone until everyone slowly creeps back in for ...just a lot of time

  • The crazy part is for some other songs he loops his bass parts so he can play other instruments, meaning he chooses to play it live for this song just because he can.

    Awesome.

  • I saw them in Berne, Switzerland, in the "Reitschule" (They were amazing).

Is "Reitschule" the name of the song? Referring to that concert-hall in Berne?

  • It's the song name.

  • Amazing bass

  • Magnificent song

  • absolutely beautiful

  • you crazies. those are the "more from LeahyHoo" videos... if you click related videos and expand the list you will surely find more dmst

    in other news...

i fuckin love this band. holy god.

  • yeah, what the fuck is what these related videos?

    i need to see domakesaythink

  • these so-called "related videos" are just MTV top 40 hip hop crap that takes away from great music like DMST and other post-rock...

    fail

  • pretty

  • the trumpet solo is so goddamn beautiful

  • amazingness

these guys are soo good like commissure or explosions in the sky

  • pfft. explosions in the sky has nothing on these guys. Do Make Say Think is good like Do Make Say Think.

  • haha, yeah well i'm just saying. personally i like dmst way better than explosions

  • ...I totally thought he literally meant "explosions in the sky."

...like, actual explosions. In the sky. *headdesk*

  • @GoodSirDay724 They are good, but i personally prefer explosions in the sky over these guys at this state, i dont know much about DMST yet tho.

  • As I sit here drinking my high life I thank Jebus for letting me know kick ass music. Play on trumpet player, play on! 5:09

  • Silver Mt Zion formed in 1999. Definately not new.

  • ME ENCANTA xD

  • this band reminds of the band

    A silver mt. Zion

    but with out words

    that makes me happy

this is a really good band

  • Should be the other way round, Silver Mt Zion are relatively new. And Godspeed would be a better comparison, only these guys have a much larger grasp on different styles and genres.

  • 2:40 and 7:25 are so cool!

  • the violinist is hawt.

  • We saw them perform their first album, Constellation at Lees Palace in Toronto..amazing stuff.

  • Genius.

  • que tema, no podia creer cuando lo escuche, de esos que si no lo hubiera escuchado me faltaria algo

  • que poetico, y cierto

  • This song makes me want to ride.

  • ahh good to see this,i saw them live a couple of years ago, one of the beautifull things i have ever seen, and the violist too ,i want to marry her

  • charles spearin is a genius

  • this song has one of the coolest basslines around.

  • first time i saw charles play it live my jaw literally dropped. i was astounded.

  • lol

  • tabs anyone???

  • oh maan... this is so beautiful. i would lie on the floor and close my eyes and put my hands in the air and let the music move them. i would cry and laugh and would feel happy all the time.

i wish i could see them live.

i love do make say think.

  • One of the guitarists is wearing a Voivod T-shirt!

  • American five string jazz?

  • This is just incredible. Wow.

  • anybody know what kind of bass that is?

  • I think it may be an old G&L. Definitely has some flatwounds on it. =)

  • It's a Fender Jazz Bass Plus V, I figured out.

  • Oh word.

  • @afzvsgxb I think its one of those SJ26 models

  • Do make say think

    Album leaf

    Explosions in the sky

    This will destoy you

    light hearted william

    oops

    Great stuff

  • Reitschule = greatest post rock ever.

  • wow, why did i not see these guys last time they came by?

  • Wow. I only have their two latest albums, so I've never heard this one before... beautifully composed.

  • Damn that man can play bass.

  • i like 1978 too

  • i. need. this. fucking. album

  • a música clássica de nosso tempo..

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

    aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

    ESTUPENDOo!!

    I LOVE POST ROCK!

  • I'm wearing this band's brown shirt right now and I'm loving every second of it.

  • yeah jesus, charles' bass on this track is ethereal. just jaw dropping live

  • I Love This Fuckin Band!!

I Look Everywhere For Their Albums and I Managed To Find Most Of Them. So I Baught "& Yet & Yet" and "Goodbye Enemy Airship The Landlord is Dead" Fuckin Awesome Music. They Inspired They Way I Play Guitar, Drums, and How I Make Music

  • Proud to be Canadian ;-)

  • am not canadian, but i saw this band live and is so superior to many american bands, what's the difference?

  • Word dude Montreal's Constellation Records is one of the best in the world home to Godspeed, Silver Mt Zion, Vic Ches and of course DMST

  • Gods of timeless sound

  • Coisa linda de Deus!

  • Do Make Say Think is one of those bands that play their songs better live then they do on their albums. The day I witness a Do Make show will be a glorious day. Such inspiring music.

  • Amazing. Live. Show.

  • esta canción es increible ,a sentir

  • incredible. so happy and mellow.

  • I just saw them on the 5th. Best concert I've ever seen; intense experience.

  • Great band! Makes everyday life a little bit brighter! COME PLAY IN SWEDEN AGAIN DMST! WE MISS YOU!

  • Goosebumps...

  • You too? :]

  • I usually don't mind postrock or whatsoever bands, but this song is quite cool! Only a bit longer, IMO! But just IMO!

  • C'est juste ... magnifique.

  • this song es fucking awsome

  • It really es.

  • Probably my fave Do Make Say Think track. These guys are superb...

  • I saw these guys live. The feeling I felt here and there is easy to recall but hard to describe. The sound is too real. Unreal almost. Its almost like being inside a cartoon at times.

  • My God....

  • For those making comparisons: it's a sin to compare music in a hierarchical way.

    This is a wonderful upload.

  • maybe their best song. maybe the best band in the world right now

  • Incredible.

    Great song.

  • I disagree. I love Explosions in the Sky, but Do Make Say Think totally tops them.

"It's Gonna Rain" is the most amazing song; it captures the essence of rain completely.

"First Breath After Coma" is good, but I think "A Tender History In Rust" totally tops it.

As I said before, though, both of these bands are amazing.

  • the ending part, on this video it starts at 6:23, is my favorite segment of music probably ever. dmst is the best

  • The Classical music of our time.

  • very nice recording. thanks

  • If you like this you should check out Rose's Devotion. I have posted some videos of them here in youtube. This band is fucking awesome! (both Rose's Devotion and Do Make Say Think)

  • this is the video.

  • hahaha

  • I luv Charles Spearin.

  • omg this is great...but could smn post "minmin" or "when the day chokes the night" songs? theyre my favs...pls smn post em...theyre really amazing and awesome...u should listen to em

  • i'd listened to these dudes a bit, but never knew they're so bloody amazing live.

  • dummes Krokodil

  • Pretty hypnotizing, pretty good as well.

  • I have to agree with what others have said. Do Make Say Think are one of the best bands out there these days. They are so original and they play with such feeling. This song is one of my favourites by them too and this particular recording is excellent. Thanks for uploading it. :)

  • Thanks for the great production of this. I saw DMST on Saturday in Chicago and it was one of the best shows I have ever seen. Reitschule, which happens to be my favorite songs, is so beautifully complex... breaking at the 5 minute mark with that amazing trumpet solo. Thanks again... This is great footage.

  • seeing them tommoro. I've been waiting 4 years and they have finally come back to Denver. Oh joyus day!

  • beautiful

  • I just say these guys last night in Montreal.... fuckin amazing!!!! waited 4 years to see them, spoke with Charles for a while... great insight as to the recordings and such... 2 hour show then they played "Reitschule" as the first encore (my favorite track after "End of Music"... so awesome.. thanks for posting this! listen to that bass!!!!!!!

  • brilliant sound

  • really great footage.theres some cool stuff on youtube of them but this is really well done! Saw them in the Paradiso in Amsterdam some years back,2002 I think. one of my favourite bands ever, being honest. this footage is a nice treat..fair dues!

  • One of the best bands to ever come out of Canada. So original. If you ever get the chance to see them live, don't miss them.

  • Or maybe even one of the best bands around today at all?

  • My fav band...seen them 5 times now. Amazing live. Thank you for post.

  • fucking sicc! Dope sound quality!

  • Oh my goodness. What a line-up!

  • Hey, I was at this show and saw all the video peeps running around. Was wondering where this would surface... Very cool that you can get a DVD of the whole show from the site in the watermark on the video. Price is very fair, too (no, I have no affiliation with them; just a big DMST fan).

  • I saw that--is it just a download or an actual DVD?

  • They have both -- go check it out.. you can watch the whole show on their site for free too.

  • This is a beautifully captured video...Reitschule is probably my favorite of their live repetoire. Thanks for sharing.
