  • Great cartoon! We at STS is and I did 3 times happy to watch.

  • Is it true they took this off the air for awhile because kids got killed doing a live reinactment or liveplay ? Or is that just an urban legend? As a kid I just remember it going off halfway through season two with no explanation

  • 6:41 Does he say ''Ohh fuck!"' ?

  • Kill the fucking cow goddammit

  • ...What the hell kind of DM sends a level one party against freaking Tiamat?!

  • @schindelerium The player-killer kind. ;)

The kids did just about get away with murder all throughout the series, though. The kids wouldn't have cakewalked through MY campaigns, that's for sure....

Sheila: "Hey, Tiamat!" *uses Cloak of Invisibility*

    Tiamat: *casts Invisibility Purge*

    Sheila: "Goddamnit."

    Tiamat: >:)

  • I would pay 50 dollars or more to watch the last episode (the unmade "Requiem") of "D&D ". If 10,000 fans would chip in, would half a million dollars be enough for the producers to make "Requiem"? At least that would give us closure, and bring Venger back from the dark side! Who's with me?

  • I am Dungeon Master, a vertically challenged, S & M loving, cowardly, puzzle liking paedophile.

  • What kind of first episode is that? xD

  • "Fear not Ranger, Barbarian, Magician, Thief, Cavalier aannd Acrobat!" Gave me the chills to hear that again; it's been awhile. Used to be glued to this one.

  • Wow, tiamat's first voice effect kind of sucked. Later on the effects became a lot more sinister :D

  • 3:49

    Venger's Derp face

  • Not as cool as playing the game, but it's still pretty awesome.

  • Would it be great if X box or Sony came up with a video game like this cartoon. I was obsessed with Dungeons and Dragons when i was a kid

. Always had a bit of a thing for Diane foe some reason.

  • this just sucks

  • Yeah,I also agree. This is the best cartoon ever made so far.The smartest one, too!!

  • I wish some one would make a modern game based completely on of this.

  • Real cartoons ftw, Unlike the crap u see todays on the tv....

  • I wish some one would make a modern game based completely on of this. Co-op questing and all.

  • @neoxalucard I think they do. Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2 are pretty much as close to this as it can get.

  • @TJCID22 Neverwinter Nights is not based on this cartoon...

  • @neoxalucard Neverwinter nights, Baldurs Gate, Icewind dale...All of them are based on Dungeons and Dragons and so is this cartoon. The name itself is a dead giveaway.

  • @TJCID22 Haha! You're an internet professor aren't you. I'm going to spell it out for you. I am well aware that this cartoon, NWN(1&2), BG(1&2), IWD(1&2), +30 er 40 other games are based on D&D.

Now let me clarify; I wish some one would make a modern D&D game based completely on of this CARTOON with these CARTOON CHARACTERS and their story as the main campaign.

Now just to be clear, I want someone to take these CHARACTERS from this CARTOON in this setting and make another D&D game out of it.

  • @neoxalucard There is no need to go as far as making a new game system just for that. Just use the NWN toolset to create a module just like this cartoon. Make the characters look exactly like the ones here, name them the same as well. Same with the monsters and places and there you do. Its perfectly doable.

  • @TJCID22 ಠ_ಠ

  • nevermind on that last comment i just looked it up and i guess dragon age isn't a DND game, odd cause i coulda sworn it was before besides i can reply better than that

NWN 2 your best bet, basically, it's the latest DND game and last expansion for it came out 2 years ago, hardly a non-modern game, ALOT of people still play it including the original which is even easier to mod

might aswell start now, today's "modern" is tommorow's old crap nobody wants to play

  • @iSparkettei

or you could wait/look for Dungeons & Dragons: Daggerdale, i dont know much about it except that it's either been out sometime this year or it is going to be out soon this year, it might have an editor just like NWN that would let you do the same thing, i haven't read much on yet and i still don't know how i've missed it, even

  • @neoxalucard Don't really need to. With the DVD box set came a Dungeons and Dragon 3.5 edition splat book called "The Animated Series Handbook". Inside it completely stated out all the main characters, including Uni and Venger and also included a pre-written adventure based on one of the episodes.

  • @Lybra1022 Don't really need to what? I don't understand what ur saying here. What does a spell book have to do with a video game?

  • @neoxalucard Ah, my mistake. When I read your last comment, I thought what you wanted was a new tabletop roleplaying game based on the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon, not so much a video game.

  • @TJCID22 BTW the barbarian kid has a cameo in Baldur's Gate 2

  • im confused, this show is a kids show about a 20 year olds game?

  • @qwetroop i think the idea was to try and get kids involved in the game

  • that uni would be barbecued meat by the time im finished with it.

  • Uni... always fuckin shit up

  • That Unicorn is soooo cute. Brings a tear to my eye for some reason.

  • still inaccurate most dragons are smarter then that and have true sight

  • @greeina because you have actually met a realy dragon???

  • Dungeon master was always a manipulative bastard. Basicly, he toyed with the kids, whenever there was a problem in his fantasy world, he used the kids to solve it, with a shallow promise for them to get home to lure them there, and they always failed to get home.

  • animation never fails to touch one's truth! the edit of over bearing behaviour is now child-liked nature and understanding is between the misunderstood.

  • @Sinisterappearance1 family, baby, one-family

  • Dungeons and Dragons? Does anyone have a clue on what a royal-gala is? are the royals something of a myth as-well or are we just obsessed with the athletes of our nations. Of what splendour is the dragon and what poverty does a dungeon entail? Warriors are governors in warfare, sorcerers are also held by law in the order of truth by strength. Not to be crossed by actors and athletes, who make poorer shows out of mortal (or supernatural) conquest.

  • @Sinisterappearance1 I know but i wont tell!

  • Tiamat is one cranky bitch in the morning...

  • I'm so happy that my name is Sheila.... I freakin adore that character...

  • anyone else notice the sound effects like those in Transformers

  • @miltanos Marvel contracted for both productions- see the end credits.

  • this was easily one of my favourite shows when i was a kid. pure class. i miss being a kid in the 80's

  • 3:10 - 3:15 XD the best!!!

  • I REMEMBER THIS FROM BACK IN A DAY WOW

  • if i was in that world i would never leave but we would have to deal with e prep the lil brat and his pet dog horse thing (to small to be a unicorn)

  • Those kids MUST be retarded.

  • hahahaha the acrobat rolled a 1D20 20 plus Dex

  • They NEVER get of the ride!

  • You're either very brave or very stupid to be talking about Tiamat that way

  • And you need to learn to read...I can't belive that they put a dragon goddes like that tiny lizard...and stupid btw

I play D&D so I know who Tiamat is, and she is NOT that idiotic reptile ¬¬

  • You're really upset about this aren't you? Wow.

  • Tiamat is a real charater/monster in D&D?

(I'm asking because I have a D&D Monster Manual book, and still I've never recognised any of the monsters they've shown on this show.[unicorns, and halflings aside])

  • @ObeyBunny Tiamat is a from ancient mythology. Persian i think. not sure though

  • @bigderekkeene Close with Persian. Assyrian-Babylonian. Tiamat was a god of the sea. In greek mythology she is the hydra and represents the Thelesian sea. Marduk defeated Tiamat and for that was made king of the gods. He had half of Tiamats body was used to create the sky, and guards posted to prevent her water from escaping the earth. Oh those whacky Babylonians! :-) Awesome show. Loved it as a kid and still dig it today. Cavalier is such a douche though. :-)

  • @locrianboy you seem homophobic but you have knowledge in attraction. Cavaliers and babylonians seem to put you on edge.

  • It was Willie Ames as Hank (Buddy from Charles in Charge for most of us). Frank Welker was also the voice of Uni (the unicorn)..

That shows what a great talent Mr. Welker possesses... as does Peter Cullen.

    Danyael

    ;-Demon

  • Wow this takes me back. Awesome ^^ and it gets better knowing now that Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen) and Megatron (Frank Welker) are Venger and Tiamat XD!! Course I find the later odd, since Tiamat is supposed to be female but eh.

Also, I didn't know there was an acrobat class in D&D. Is it at all like Dragoon class in Final Fantasy?

  • when I was a litle kid I used to think in the intro that dungeon master said Beef when he gave Sheila her cape. So for a while I thought it Hank the ranger Presto the magician and Sheila the Beef. Dungeon Master never called sheila 'thief' like he called the others ranger, cavalier etc... I guess it would have been rude

  • lol that is fantastic

  • @animegirlUK I never understood why Sheila was called a 'thief' because she was such a nice girl. But then again, I watched the Dutch synchronised version in which Sheila was called 'verpleegster', a nurse.

  • The cavalier kinda looks like my brother when he was a kid.

  • The blonde haired guy sounds like Willie Ames from "Eight is Enough". The guy in the yellow outfit sounds like Donny Most from "Happy Days".

  • Acrobat was a class...

  • FINALLY I FOUND THIS...thanks

  • When DM showed a pic of Venger, Venger was cross-eyed! Too funny. I 1/2 expected Venger to be drooling too! haha

  • Marsha,Will and Holly in the land of the Lost !!!!! Oh,Wrong Show

  • if you dont like it dont watch it!

  • terrible? this was awesome

  • The cartoon was never finished. There is a final script made up on the internet for the final show that would have been made, but that's it..

  • They should produce it. This cartoon is a classic.

  • Did they ever find a way home?

  • I really don't know. I really would like to know. Couldn't find it on youtube...

  • No, they are actually trapped in the Forgotten Realms now . . . according to the comic books.

All grown up too. Bobby was rather huge. Presto was trying to be Eliminster's apprentice.

    No, seriously. ;)

    Wolfe

  • actually in one episode they did find their way back home to the theme park, but made the choice to go back to save DM and uni....omg im such a nerd lol

  • ok so if this is the first episode ever, then how do they know the name of tiamat the dragon already and know how to use their weapons. i'd always thought it started with dungeon master explaining everything to them. obviously my childhood created memories that weren't real.

  • Dude, I still play this game. I still love it.

  • Ok, so slaugher the cow, butcher it, and eat it. Whats the bid deal?

  • seing as britney is your god you are clearly delusional lmao, get a life this was the best cartoon ever made i loved it and now have my son watching it as well

  • yes this was the best cartoon ever conceived.

  • oh yeah ...

  • OMG man I used to have a D&D sticker album when I was a kid.

Takes me back a few years... thx!

  • Eric is pimpin all dem hoes!

    Especially that unicorn!

  • Eric should have been given a sword instead of a shield.

  • I remember this show from Saturday morning cartoons back in the day. WAY back in the day. God, this makes me feel old. Nice bit of nostalgia, though. It seemed like the show went on forever, but apparently it was only one short season. Kind of like the "Wizards and Warriors" live-action show from...'84 maybe? That was less than half-a-dozen episodes. Another delve into a fantasy genre that never gained consistent mainstream acceptance. At that place and time, though, it was fun.

  • was it wizards and worriors or visionaries ?

  • Wizards and Warriors with Jeff Conaway (now featured on the reality TV show "Celebrity Rehab"). I looked it up a minute ago. I watched some clips, and they are truly awful. It seemed alot cooler when I was seven, but I'm finding out that many of the shows and movies I liked as a child seem pretty bad through adult eyes. Of course, there are certain gems that always make me smile when I see them, like "The Sword and the Sorcerer" & "Hawk the Slayer"

  • i love DND but tiamets name was said wrong xD

  • I really wish they would have made the last script into an espisode, where venger turned out to be Dungeon master's son..and they finally got a valid chance to go home.

  • i love d&d!

  • Really liked this series, but damn, how I hated that little unícorn.

  • THIS WAS MY FAVORITE PROGRAME FROM WEN I WAS ABOUT 4 YRS OLD IN THE EARLY 90s WHOEVER PUT THESSE ON HER I LUV U! I REALLY HAV MISSED THIS PROGRAME I UUSED TO WATCH IT EVERY WEEK ON SOME T.V SHO THATS SIMULAR THEESE DAYS TO SMTV/LIVE AND KICKIN OR SUFIN LIKE THAT... THANKS AGEN

  • wow, thanks so much for uploading this

watched it on tv about 6-7 years ago, still feel like watching it

  • Geez, does Tiamat move into a new lair like every other week? Seems like she's just chilling in whatever cave they happen to wander by...

  • I have all of the episodes on dvd. I bought them a few years ago on Ebay. Not official but still great.

  • thank you so much, please continue!

I have some music posted for free you can have for thanks, check clonal machina at myspace

  • thanks you brought back a piece of my childhood

  • Oh yeah, and at 3:48? DURRRRRRR! XD

  • 35-year old mom ringing in here; I watched the HECK out of this cartoon. I wanted Shelia's cape in the worst way; but the comforter off my bed had to suffice. :D

I still have notebooks filled with drawings I'd done of these guys; back then, you couldn't pause the DVD and draw, you had to sit yer butt down in front of the TV and draw as much as you could while everyone was still moving! Either that, or copy 'em off your friend's metal lunchbox. Good times, good times...

  • @Sportica hey fellow 80's kid!

  • @Sportica allow me to say that your comment solidified this series as a series that transcends generations. You are the 2nd coolest mom I have ever seen (my own being the first)

  • hehe dungeons and dragons ride...eh but we dont have one of those in our world...too bad

  • I never saw this episode which I assume it the first one, cool.

  • OH OH i figured out why they are in that relm!!! it's because if they weren't in that relm there would be no series XD

  • watched these toons as a teen...now i m 38 and still remember them!!! kids at heart!

  • Thanks for uploading these and I love the name!

Venger was the best cartoon baddie and my fave - still loving these at 27!

  • dude dont ever stop adding epsiodes all the big kids at hart out therelove em

  • So what ,Im watching D&D at thirty!!!!

  • This takes me back to my childhood. Saturday mornings used to be the SH*T. I think it has lost it's flavor because now you have cartoons running 24-7. Plus cartoons from the 80's were just plain better.

  • Man! I love this as a child.

Dragons have True Seeing in real D&D though, dont try that stunt.

  • This is one of the frist episodes right?

  • @bigrat40 Not sure anyone answered yet, but this is The 1st episode.

  • This show would have been better if it was an adult animated series!

  • this was as close to spederman and x-men you could get... the book is not like the cartoon... in the 80's not many people had cable so this was all that was on

  • i remember all of the episodes! i was like really small when i first watched it!

  • Dragons Graveyard is up and I'll add Dungeon at the Heart of Dawn when Ive got the time.

  • Merlin sounds exactly like Gargamel from the Smurfs

  • @youfreako Actually Gargamel was voiced by Jim Cummings. Merlin here was voiced by Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime, Venger, Eeyore, et al.)

  • When are you going to post the dragon's graveyard & the dunegon at the heart of dawn?

  • vinger's mom is a big fat stanky bitch!!

  • thanks for posting!!! one of the best episodes!!!!
