it seems you r too nervous. try relax little bit . you press strings too hard, just slightly touch will do. And swing strings doesn't mean "press", should be moving up and down the frist joint of your finger, control swing speed by left wrist. Run the bow by wrist,not whole arm. Your right hand control the emotional you put on the melody. Above is my little experience from learning Erhu. you will getting better. CUM BA DE !!

you have a great ability in plying erhu.

but something i have to tell you, so that you can perform a more beautiful sound.

the way you hold the erhu is incorrect, the erhu have better be more parallel to your body with a little angle about 15 degree, but at least not vertical.

the bow should also be parallel to your body. the more you stick the bow to the string, the more beautiful sound it will make.

By the way, do you think the sound isn't good, too? I'm so sorry, but when I visited the nearest erhu shop run by a professional erhu player from china, I was told I was making the correct sound.

More importantly, do you play the erhu? Great! I would wish your success. You can be a nice player.

ic...xD~Having a good teacher is very important...ask him to perform some big songs then can test...Lol...As a teacher...at least can play a 10 level song very well...for example, 戰馬奔騰.or some can see his/her basic: 賽馬/ 空山鳥語

The sound is "correct". But what is a "correct" sound?....This is erhu sound but the quality can be better....or maybe I just listen this from youtube..a bad loudspeaker..and have bad quality for me..

You just listen to your erhu teacher is good.

First,the way you hold 馬尾is not really correct

and the position of the bottom of the erhu bottom is not correct

turn it a little bit right for about 20-30 degree will be much better

the quality of the sound will become much better=]

Do you have an erhu teacher there?..you are from japan?

You have that sense in Music but need more basis in playing erhu

I myself cannot handle it so well too.I cannot tell you what is a correct position here by words but I think an erhu teacher can help you
