Bye the way Jared Allen has more sacks as a defensive end in his first 7 1/2 years than any other defensive end in nfl history excpt Reggie White, and a close second to Bruce Smith. Allen also has 3 safeties already... most dont even have one. I think peppers relies more on name value, because of his dominant play early in his career , but he is inconsistant. Allen delivers.
Jared Allen has been the most consistant and dominant defensive lineman in the nfl over the last 6 years, bar none. Hes unblockable with a non stop motor and is lightning quick off the line. Allen along with being a great pass rusher is also terrific against the run and has great hands along with a great sense of telegraphing. Allen will be among one of the top10 defensive end of all time in my opinion, at the end of his career if he is able to keep up at the rate he is moving.
Julius Peppers is WAY more dominant and disruptive than Jared Allen, Peppers is the best defensive player since Lawrence Taylor and Reggie White.
