okay...from 40 seconds to 45 seconds its so cool, thats the kind of melody i try to put into my solos, and same at 1:34 to 1:50. those are really good song-writing ideas for soloing, not saying its bad when he plays fast or anything, its just better at the certain points in the song...just has so much beauty and meoldy, gives you that true metal solo vibe

the arcade sounding thing as you call it is legato plus a pickslide. if you watch, you can see he is playing a legato lick and then he pick slides on the upper frets at the same time. Neat trick I do it everynow and then.
