I fucking love this show! I may have not been born at the time this show aired, but I bought season 1 since I love ninjas and Sonny Chiba. I fell in love with this, I hope they release the other seasons in America. Hanzo's the man!

@AtTheGates You guys are lucky, I live in the UK and they never released the series here. I looked up on Amazon.UK and the Region 1 DVD is listed on the site but has a tagline "Currently Unavailable" and I'm like what's the point of having the title listed on your site if you don't have it for sale?

@Elementa2006 i saw a couple of bootlegs up on ebay or some other place, can't remember, a couple of years ago who were apparently recordings off of hawaiian tv - they have a small japanese minority, so they actually air japanese stuff, but with english subtitles (at least that was the rumor how the bootleg came into being).

@Serbia1960 I have not seen the series anywhere online to watch but you can get season one off amazon. If you go to ebay of ioffer.com you can buy all the seasons. It is 4 seasons in all but sometimes season 4 is spilt into 2 parts so some sellers advertise it as 5 seasons. Season 4 is like 40 episodes so they spilt it into 2. But some sellers sell all of season 4 as one.

Anyone know where I can see any more of this. First heard about Hattori Hanzo in a martial arts book called 'From Lee to Li' and fascinated by all sorts of ninjas ever since.

Look up "art of the ninja dothacker" on google and ask about it there. If you want to watch more of this series, you can buy the complete first season on DVD. For a more realistic depiction of ninja though, check out the Shinobi no Mono series.

Hey Sally, check out Shadow Warriors Season 1 on DVD. It came out back in '07 I think. I lucked out to find a copy of it at a local used book & DVD joint. Got it as a birthday present for a friend & decided to just check it out really quick before giving it away. Its freakin' awesome!!!

Hanso is also briefly mentioned in the booklet "The Ninja" by Osprey Publications.

nope. Hanzo served Tokugawa. But I'm not sure if he is a retainer or not.

Hey, can somebody answer my question. Is Hanzo really a badass ninja. Like, is he really strong. Cause, I saw this movie called,"Shinobi No mono," and it looks like Hanzo isn't really an awesome ninja in that movie. Also, it said that Kotaro killed Hanzo, but in Shinobi no Mono, a ninja named Kirigakure Saizo killed Hanzo and Kotaro. So, is Hanzo really good, and is that movie,"Shinobi No Mone," true?????????????

yeah, he was. hanzo killed his own master, grandmaster momochi sandayu, but he was supposedly killed by fuuma kotaro, who was also a soke. saizo really has nothing to do with hanzo's death and shouldn't being that he is from iga as well. but yeah, i would think a dude was very good if his skills exceed even that of his own master.
