  • Hi, I had my iphone4 lcd screen replaced and it is showing fuzzy lines like an old colour tv. Do you think it has been put on incorrectly or should i pay for a new screen?

  • @musicalknowledgecrew That usually means the LCD screen is either faulty, damaged, or not fully connected (rare, but possible to cause this). A new screen is likely the best way to resolve the issue.

  • @DanielleM576 I would suggest using a pry tool or flat head screwdriver to get on the side of the battery. They can be popped up pretty easily using something thin and sturdy.

  • Will doing this also fix the touch screen if it ain't working?

  • @Ludogg0 Yes, this is the best way of replacing a touch screen (assuming it does not have motherboard damage). The assembly is much better to replace as the touch screen and LCD screen are fused together.

  • @RepairsUniverse hi my sistas screen isnt cracked but half of the screen has gone gray but its still working like touch screen but the screen is damaged INSIDE!!! plz tell me wat i cud do!!!

  • @Clubpenguinfan2489 This is a damaged LCD screen. You will need to replace this. These are available at RepairsUniverse (dot) com.

  • @RepairsUniverse ok

thnx for your answer i will see what i can do to help her

  • @RepairsUniverse so what is the damaged screen inside called the digitizer (hasnt cracked)

  • @Clubpenguinfan2489 You have the outside glass touch screen know as the touch screen digitizer. Underneath that you have the LCD screen. The LCD screen is what makes the image.

  • @RepairsUniverse whats the motherboard and how is it damaged. my iphone 4 screen is completely shattered but i can see some parts and everything is working fine

  • @nirvanarocks83 The motherboard is the "brain", it runs all the software and reads all the sensors. It can be damaged physically, but is pretty rare. Water damage is much more common. Sounds like replacing the screen assembly will resolve the issue if everything else appears fine. These are available at RepairsUniverse (dot) com.
