Joe Bonnamassa, Jason Bonham, Jeff Hughes and Derek Sheridian. Four of the most tlanted music makers that ever drew breath and this album is proof. Amazing stuff.
Man I fell in love with this song when it first came out in the early 70s...Everybody was into Trapeze in my little part of Louisiana. "Medusa" and "You are the music" where some of my favorite LPs...Recorded them on my home cassette deck and played them in my car deck...Cruising down the streets, drinking and smoking hash...getting decked...I love this band...
The best current band that is making new music today. I have been a Glenn Hughes fan since his Trapeze days in the early '70s...Grew up with Zep and John Bonham was the beast who kept on giving until he hit the wall to the other side...GH & Jason with the pure greatness of Joe B. and just gving the love to Derek on Keyboards....Hell I am excited about these guys...Problem..GH is doing all these solo/side projects and I say fuck all that...This band is the future to turn the kids on to ROCK!!!
BCC CONGRATS ON BEING VOTED BEST HARD ROCK BAND OF THE LAST 10YEARS. UR !!! MUSIC LIKE THIS OPENED THE DOOR AND INSPIRED THE GREAT MUSIC OF TODAY. IM ADDICTED TO IT. GREAT LINE UP TO WIN THIS AWARD. Glenn, Joe, Jason and Derek all who have shown people
MAN !!!! what a line up !! Bonamassa, Hughes and Bonham,, this is some great stuff !! Thanks to "That Metal Show" for turnng me onto this !! I hadnt heard,, great rock n roll !!
Glenn Hughes is hands down one of the most underrated vocalists as well as one of the most underrated bassists. Love this remake of the original Trapeze song. Joe B also shreds on the guitar on this track. Brilliant!
There is nothing wrong with making music in the vain of a certain genre of music ..70's or other as long as it is fresh and not just ripping off old melodies. Blues has about 8 different main riffs but is still going strong. This group is doing a great jod of keeping the ROCK fresh with the song structure of the clasic 70's vibe. More power to them. We could use more like them as far as I'm concerned.
i am not saying this is bad music, it is obviously good music. but - come on, u are saying it, i have heard this in the early seventies, even the late sixties (of the last century!). this music in regression, we are living in the 21st century!
All of you who say " Rock is back" and Glenn is awesome with this song....he should be . He's been singing this song since the early 1970's with the band Trapeze. Again , I'm decades ahead of the curve. LOL hehehehe hahahahaha
Rival Sons play this kinda style of classic rock much better. No Glenn, that sounds too calculated, doesn't get in the hips and also doesn't get in the feet. Well produced, but the soul is missing. Super group means not always great music. See Chickenfood. The same goes for them, too, what a pity...
One word: Awesome! I've listened to Trapeze-Trapeze since 1970, "Medusa" has never sounded better. This a great supergroup, long live Black Country Communion. (almost called "Let's Zep Again"!) Also, Give Joe Bonamassa's new album "Dust Bowl" a listen, I finally found someone to help me get over the tragic loss of Stevie Ray Vaughan!
PHEW! F'G awesome jammin' & riffs......hope you guys "make" it (once again), as you deserve it. Sounds a lot like Sammy, some Plant and......a bit of Beatles (half way through for a short time).... but mostly Zepp.....Wow......different and refreshing!
@nathan2k ................... As I stated before, "Monotonous, boring, blase and unoriginal." I also think you can hardly call a Trapeze song a "classic" from 1971. Their taste in music sucks as there are far better songs to cover from that year.
Monotonous and boring. I definitely see a lot of potential, but it seems as though they're playing to some kind of mold or something. The vocals are the same. The guy can sing, but it's just a very blase and unoriginal melody. Sorry. I don't mean to offend or to even put down the band, I just call it as I see it.
just as every good fashion goes in and out of style so does style of music and i think we are starting to see a renaissance of Rock n Roll thank god...B.C.C., them crooked vultures, wolf mother, Alter Bridge is dirty, Big Elf. Hopefully the music industry releases more of this music instead of that Gaga, Bieber shit
@LegendOfOldTrafford you named no rock n roll bands there , them crooked vultures were absolute bullshite! wolfmothers new album was hideously dissapointing and alter bridge have split up
@LnBguitars them crooked vultures i actually liked so fuck you its a matter of opinion, wolf mother still have a good album and i will listen to that album till i die. Just because a band has split up doesnt mean they are any less good. The Beatles broke up, Ozzy left Black Sabbath, Bachman left Guess Who you are just narrow minded and have nothing further to argue with me about GTFO NOOB.
@LegendOfOldTrafford im not a fucking noob you tit , if you like them crooked vultures then your the fucking noob, the bands that inspired them like kyuss( not atall "rock and roll " which is dead anyway ) are so much better, them crooked vultures wont make another album cos around 3 people like them . wolfmother may have a good album but its not amazing, and comparing alter bridge to the beatles was fucking stupid , black sabbath were better without ozzy cos hes a wanker
@LnBguitarsStop arguing for the sake of arguing you douchebag. Ozzy and Tony made black Sabbath Dio was a great addition but i digress. I didnt compare them musically you fucking twat i compared their history and how both bands broke up but still have an amazing back catalogue of songs. Jesus why are you trolling me so hard. It is my own opinion and im sticking to it your not going to change my mind on anything i said. Another example Dream Theater still an amazing band even though they broke up
@LegendOfOldTrafford im trolling you because your opinion is shit , and dream theater... really ? dream theater ? they are Crap , a level of how crap they are is there drummer left .. to join avenged sevenfold!!! hahah i mean if hed have left to join a decent band it would be ok ... but avenged sevenfold.. it takes the piss. and ozzy and tony may have made black sabbath but it sounded so much better when dio was the singer
LnBguitars mate Dream Theater was the best Progressive Rock act of the last 20+ years other than Rush.Petrucci is one of the greatest guitarists in the history of Rock n Roll.If you say otherwise post a video of you nailing one of his solos like he does night in and night out.Mike Portnoy left because he is Mike Portnoy and he can do whatever the fuck he wants. He also left Avenged Sevenfold and good for him they are shite! Now please stop bothering me just enjoy B.C.C. and mind your own business
@LegendOfOldTrafford yeah but they sound shit. they can be technically good or whatever, but they sound shit. why would i want to nail one of petrucci's solos when there are other guitarists that i look up to more than him , and that sound a look better thaan him. his playing is so boring
@WhoTheHellIsMargret even though they have been around for like 15 years XD they werent really known in america but went to scandanavia for awhile now Big Elf is has a cult following here because of their tour with Dream Theater.
Its a shame that the powers that be,DON'T think we want music like this..With the plasticness of American Idol, and the cheesy artists they cram down our throat, its a wonder any of us can remember how good music like this is...Long Live Rock!!!!
@trevLV Hell yeah. I prolly wouldn't have heard of them if it wasn't for the great Eddie Trunk radio shows - Q-104 NYC 11p-2a, Monday Sirius ch 19 6p-10p
I'm going to buy the album soon. Does Joe Bonamassa sing on it at all? I like Hughes and everything, but JB was the main thing that attracted me to the group. His guitar work is awesome as ever.
