This rendition of the blood is awesome. Their use of dynamics was off the chain. The director was phenomenal. Add to favorites??? Yes sir!!!!! Excellent. Gotta go... Bout to watch it again!!!!
A perfectly great song...your version done a little different from tradition however it was still done decent and in order. Love it. I put this in my favorites. Thank you.
GREATTTTT...but y'all killin' me on them decrescendos on "The blood"...That's one part that shouldn't be silent...I want you to convince me that it's the BLOOD that has me hear today!!!!! THE BLOOD!!!!!!! Let me HEAR it...but my little complaint still doesn't take away the GREATNESS of the performance...So still, GREAT JOB!!!!!!
@comeon6 : I agre! But I must say that you can DEFINITELY feel the anointing on this choir when they sing! That's what sets apart this group from others......allow the message of Christ to be FELT in the words you deliver! Absolutely beautiful singing and I look forward to hearing more from HU =)
As an HBCU alum (Grambling State) I am so pleased to have discovered your choir. The annointing in your voices ministers to my soul. I've played this song on repeat while at work since I found you all on here since Friday. God Bless, Much respect! Keep up the great work!
The best! Oh the blood. The director sang, reminding us about the precious gift. I don't want to know where I would be without the blood. If I start to think about it, something on the inside of me feels like fire shut up in my bones.
@virgobaby912 Thanks for the compliments! For more information about joining the Howard Gospel Choir, please e-mail us at hgcauditions (at) gmail (dot) com.
Was this recorded at one of the crazy churches where you can't "Minister" on the preacher's pulpit? I'm try to figure out why you stayed to the side with those great directing skills? This is beautiful by the way. Go Howard! '91
yes!whoooo Jesus!....chills! especially 7:15-7:49...i'll be going to Howard in the fall of 2010 and ive always heard about how blessed the chior is hopefully ill get an opportunity to be member!
I loved it a very powerful praising of the Lord in through song. God bless them in their future endeavors.. Keep lifting up the name of the Lord yall.. God bless
iF MY DAUGHTER LISTENS TO THIS SONG ONE MORE TIME.... JUST ONE MORE TIME.... I'M GONNA LISTEN TO IT AGAIN WITH HER.....LOVE THIS SONG ... CHILLS ALL DAY EVERY DAY
I was blessed by this video!! Yall have power!! To God be the glory for the great thing that He has done, and is doing in yalls Ministry. I was trying to do some work and had to stop and listen to yall!! Be Blessed!!! :)
OMG!!!! Y'all don't even know, i went in around 5:30, but then I fully was taken at 8:30. But, They tear it up when you're there when they perform, because it adds that extra blessing, because you feel the presence in the room.
I love listening to this choir very much. Keep ministering through song! Chicago is real major with gospel music, as a matter of fact we the home of gospel. To God be all the glory!!!
I must give this choir credit for their creativity. very nicelydone. We can compare all day but the reality is, everyone interprets different and the important things is that it is all good. Very nicely done.
We all love James Hall for what they can do but what Howard did with this song I love too. I love hearing the WORDS and actual NOTES. Howard sopranos dynamics are SICK. I think I wanna vomit. I don't know what yall did at 5:30 but that took me right on in!
This version of this song was very clean. James Hall choir when they sing this sometimes they scream but that why we love james hall. Howard cleaned it up and same results. Very good To God Be the Glory Howard keep on going forth
mmmmmm i dunno...this was my first time hearing this with out the coloration of vibrato, it was different, i guess i can appreciate their originality...but i do like james hall...
i love watching the director. he's so animated and i would love to sing in this choir....thats all i know is music and singin. i sing my church's choir(s)
some people are not used to perfection. Squalling and cackling is not how gospel music is to be sung. Gospel music is not a genre where you just sing it any old way and "let the spirit cover it up." it should be practiced and perfected and thats exactly what this choir did. they are a perfect example of how gospel, spirituals and anthems are to be sanged
i really disagree. i think that its opinion. u cant say how gospel music is MEANT to be sung because u werent there wen it started, but i enjoyed both versions. this was a little too clean for me as well, but it showed mastery of their craft so u cant argue with that. However, the james hall version is more my PERSONAL taste.
They were just a bit too reserved. James Hall is a perfectionist, trust me, but they just didn't quite let go enough. I mean, they are perfect in tone, notes and all, clearly the musicians are highly skilled, just needed a little more umph!
This rendition of the blood is awesome. Their use of dynamics was off the chain. The director was phenomenal. Add to favorites??? Yes sir!!!!! Excellent. Gotta go... Bout to watch it again!!!!
