What we are running out of is that nice liquid oil. There's enough in one spot in Canada to fuel the entire world for a hundred years. John S Newberry said in 1875 all oil would be used by 1900's. There are billions of liquid oil in Europe, they don't want to spend the money to dig it up. The minerals industry is dominated by a few monopolies which is the cause of high prices, not scarcity. Saudi Arabia has 90 oil fields and only exploits 9! For billions of years the earth has been producing it!

Everyday toxic gases spew from factories, Earth is a living thing and will respond to it. We make waste, waste doesn't simply dissapear, we tried to dispose of it but not all of it, most of it goes in the sea, rivers, and land fills. We do affect the Earth, our existence does affect the earth

I agree that the earth is a living thing but she is tougher than many give her credit for. Some of the arguments supporting global warming are crazy, even on a common sense level. For example, the idea that methane from cattle is contributing to global warming. If that were true, the dinosaur's must have farted themselves out of existence because there were far more pounds of dinosaur back then there is pounds of cows now.

Factories spew CO2 and poisons but nothing close to volcanoes.
