  • Was that up hill in the wet? as Admiralt said I think she needs a rest no wounder they put her in for a big overhaul at the NRM.

  • No it wasn't wet but very frosty, also I think it is a slight climb on a curve + the weight of the pullmans and I find 4-6-2 engines tend to slip more.

  • ouch, the poor old Scotsman needs a little rest I think.

  • no shes fine she just needs oil on her rods to stop the noise :)

  • they should not be running her with that squeeking comming from her cilinders that is pure torcher running a loco with no oil!!!!

  • the engine sounds off beat!

  • I think the main problem was frosty rails, curved gradient & heavy pullman stock.

  • Having a lot of trouble keeping traction there.....I'm sure when the re-fit is complete, she'll be as good as new!

  • man she looks bad. can she even handle railtours anymore

  • Not at the moment, I went to the NRM at youk on sat 19 may 2007, and she's totally stripped down to a bare chassis at the moment.

  • when was this

  • On a cold and frosty evening 15/12/03 running approx 1-2hrs late
