I'm going to look up halloween in the encyclopedia or by a book by a knowledgable author on Halloween on where halloween first originated or I can go find out through wikipedia and be the smartist person to know what halloween really is, maybe all the above. Maybe I' ll just carve out a scary jack-o-latern and scare off that scary spirit I just saw out the window. Shit.... the computer screen is moving on it's own. Jack-o-laterns not helping. damn. Oh..Forgot to light the candle.
Why do people celebrate, Pagan holiday, such as , Halloween ,Christ-mas , Easter ,and not even try to honor the Sabbath,The Day Of Atonement and The feast of Passover and The Feast Of Tabernacles . Even if you are a "non believer " ,do you really want to your kids to participated in Pagan worship . All present Halloween traditions can be traced to , ancient Pagan worship.
Jack-o-lantern is the ancient symbol of a dammed soul.
@derekdb2= According to legend Jack was a man, so wicked, he even managed to get kicked out of Hell. Even the 9th circle? That's quite a feet. I would love to know what he did to get thrown out.
These seems a very folksy, revised ,shortened Irish fairy tale as 'Samhain' is a Celtic pre- christian seasonal pagan celebration and yes it could even be pre-Celtic/neolithic in Ireland as there is less of a dividing line on that Isle
To comment on a previous comment. Druids were ancient Celtic Priest. Shaman was a Celtic celebration. You must remember that most of the Irish people were decedents of the Celtic people. That is the reason the Irish carry over a lot of the ancient traditions. Irish came about after the Romans conquered the lands that is now Europe and Ireland.
all I wanted was a brief history of hallow'een-I cannot follow all these seperate vids and I dont want to be patronised with full length stories. I dont intend to stay toooooooooooned
Right....it's definitely a Druidic holiday and/or celebration. But I could swear the Druids WERE the ancient Celts.....I could be wrong...I just don't know my western european history that well.
Yall might want to consider putting the chapter numbers in your titles so we wont have to poke around trying to see them in order and finaly giving up.........

lol your wrong and this is wrong a form of halloween was practiced by everyone who was pre christian the chineese did this before harvest to scare away demons the norse also did this for a simlar reason i could go on on
nope you are bolth wrong the holiday began in the 1500s in Ireland and was celebrated by people who practiced celticism, druids, and whitches. Celticism was a pagan religion and they were against christianity. So christianity placed a holiday AFTER halloween called day after the saints day to get back at the "evil" whitches and stuff. I am learning to be a druid myslef no matter a fact
Began in the 1500's! What are you talking about? That's historically utter rubbish. It is thousands of years old. Halloween was part of the tradition of everyone in Ireland thousands of years ago, way before Christianity. There was never a religion 'Celticism'. The pagans weren't AGAINST Christianity, it just hadn't arrived in Ireland yet, and after it did in the 6th century approx, the pagans very became Christianized, while maintaining many Celtic, pagan ways.
Celtics was a group of people who lived in the area which is now European regions. Christianity was not around during the time of the Celtic people considering that they lived around 300 BC (before Christ). Christianity as we know it wasn't born until many years after the death of our Lord Jesus.

Only those who don't truly understand its origins would call it satanic.
bacabu30 2 years ago
@bacabu30 it is satanic! It's not of God that's for sure!
bettyspaghetti422 4 months ago
@bettyspaghetti422 How do you define things that are 'of God'? Are all things that are not 'of God' satanic? How so?
bacabu30 4 months ago
@bacabu30 Exactly, I'm a Christian, and it gets annoying when people say that it's satanic. Paganism and Satanism are diffrent.
TheDarkMitzuki 4 months ago
@TheDarkMitzuki Yes, it just stems from a lack of culture, complete ignorance and close-mindedness on their part.
