Puig (Pedrosa's controller/manager) made it tough on Nicky after the Estoril crash in 06, I'm glad he's not with HRC any longer. I'd read somewhere that HRC wanted to minimize Puig's control and influence in the paddock this upcoming season. It's like Colin Edwards said about racing, it's all in your head. Imagine trying to race on a team where the unofficial crew chief plays favorites to his protege whilst accusing you of stealing bike settings, ridiculous. Puig's a tool. We're foreigners there

Don't forget it's not like he has had crappy rides. He's had Factory rides since he has been in MotoGP. So being on a Duc won't change anything. He doesn't know how to adapt his riding style to the bike. Rather, he has the bike try to adapt to his riding style. He's still riding the 800 like it is a 990 or 1000cc bike. Everybody is on Bridgestones, so no excuses there. I think that it would be better for Ducati and Nicki if he went to SBK too.

If you check Pedrosa's bike and Hayden's bike for 06' they focused on Hayden. All the good parts went to him. And in 07' Honda was having a hard time with the new 800cc bike. And Michelin was crap too. Stoner was untouchablein 07 anyway. And it's not about size either. Hayden is 5'6 which is the average height of the MotoGp paddock. Everybody says 990 blah blah blah, hence he should go back to AMA or go to World Superbike. I KNOW he would be more competitive than in GP.

I don't think so. The reason Stoner is so good is because the bike and tires both compliment him so well. There are a lot of guys on Ducati's. Hayden's riding style doesn't compliment these new 800cc bikes. The only ones battling for podiums and for the the championship is, Rossi, Stoner, Pedrosa, and Lorenzo. Nicki wouldn't have won in 06' if Rossi didn't have problems with his bike and tires. And in 06' he had the bike custome and it was made for him and his style.

Wow is this the excuse section? I am surprised this guy still has fans. What he like 13th in the pts? worst factory rider on the grid! BTW, ducati has a "Haydon" edition bike, where is the "stoner" edition? Or the "Haga" edition, They win on their Ducs!

I just don't get it. Is it because he plucks his eyebrows? Maybe they are going for the gay rider market? I don't know, but they sure don't care about who wins.

Some of the ppl here say that he was lucky in 06.Dudes then way didn't Dani Pedirosa win that yaer or the next or now?He had bike made for him even then he couldn't win!Yes he has more wins but you have to have more than that to be a Champion!Look at Hiroshi Aoyama this year he was consistent and that helped him!Or Casey even he has a lot of wins this didn't helped him win last year!Don't get me wrong Casey is one of my favorites.And I think Nicky is better at Ducati now :)

Nicki should go to World Superbike. I think he would enjoy it more, and also have a fighting chance for the Championship. I know I know 2006, but, he got that more by consistency, not actual wins. Rossi had more wins that year, but also had more FUBAR moments. Pedrosa won a few too. Hayden had the best bike out there. And before 2005, Edwards & Hopkins were surprised that he didn't win any GP races. Nicki is a good guy, but I think Superbikes fits his style more. Especially with the 800cc in GP.

Nicky may not be the greatest rider ever. It's clear that is Rossi. But Nicky is a class act.

He wins in 2006 for Honda, and as a reward gets treated like shit but does his best anyway for two years stuck with the asshole Danny Pedophile as team mate. GP goes down to 800cc, which only hurts Nicky and helps the midget riders. Nicky is grateful to have a job, which is rare in the world of spoiled diaper-pants in the racing world.

How can anybody suggest that Mika Kallio is better?

Kallio has accompished next to nothing in his works Ducati rides. Hayden has not had a great season but he has improved in recent races and had a podium finish in Indianapolis.

Don't get attached to Kallio, he won't be around for very long.

Nicky needs 5000cc machines to do anything. He can be a nice guy, but, is a complete looser. He and his Ducati looks like a joke over two wheels. Today, Mika Kalio after make just one practice on the offial Ducati Corse team makes a 7th place.... Nicky after run a half season on the Ducati keeps fighting for 14th place..... its wasnt the smaller engine, it was that the power band and chassis were developed for pedrosa without haydens input. when they turned off the electronics, he got faster

Hayden is a strange driver!

I know his driving style.

And just like Mccoy/Hopkins i like the agressiv style!

alot of times his realy sucks!

But some accasions.... He goes so damn fast using realy every inch of the track because he need so.. Smoking tyres sweat on his forhead while he is doing 300+.

Sometimes i don't know what he is doing on the track..

But sometimes....... He is amazing! Creepy amazing.
