  • Whats all the F1 F2 F3 F4 F5 F6 F7 F8 thing, what does it mean, how can you tell the difference?im Pretty much saying what does it mean?

  • @puffledude101 F1 is the first generation from the Serval. F3, F4, F5......five generations from the Serval.

  • Music is really annoye

  • Is there a lot of difference in the looks and behaviour of an F1 and an f5?

  • Reminds me of the gay bars in my city.

  • 60000 in cats? Lol lonely much?

  • the yellowish-golden coated is an F1? cute face, is it a girl?

  • What's the music ?

  • I know the f1 is biggest and most serval dna but is the f1 as easly kept as the f3/4? Or does the f1 have problems with other animals, children,..

  • do they shed ? and are they good with dogs

  • Gorgeous cats. Excellent video, so funny: love it how they go from "kissing" and grooming each other to fighting and back to grooming in a flash. I have a question: 1) are all savannahs extremely active and jumpers (and destructive) or some of them more laid back? 2) Do only F1s have these beautiful markings on the ears (are they called "ocelli"?), or do some F5s have them too?

  • dont be greedy give one of those to me

  • so you spent 60000 on cats...u must be mad lol

  • song?

  • aww there kissing!! the grl is comeing on strong! lmao

  • It's slightly like watching lesbian porn. Brilliant!

  • so if i get an f4 it will be not big cause i want it big like the f1

  • So CUTE.

  • what are the letter and number designators? F1 F3 F5?

    thanks

  • Genetic terminology, in strict sense:

F1 is the 1st "filial" generation. It is the first cross between two parents.

F2 is the second filial genreation, and would be the result of the inbreeding between the F1 generation. and so forth....

In savannah cat lingo it is used as a general reference to how close you are to the serval

Usually, the F1's are a serval with a domestic cat

because it is genrally not wise to breed brothers and sisters due to increased liklihood of genetic problems, 2 sepa

  • so... the higher the number, the less serval??

  • separate F1 lineages will be brought together to produce an F2...other times an F1 will be bred with a serval again. Its an art and a science to get a good coat and good temperment in these hybrids...

  • thank you so much for the offer, i saw a video of a savannah cat the other day and said to myself "I want one" :3 AND NOW that thought seems to have manifested itself...but, sadly i cannot get one at this present time...it was a pipe dream -.-'

    they are so cute!

  • the savannhs are so cute.

  • how lucky you are, having such beatifull cars :)

  • I am knew to the breed and looking to get one and I was wondering if anyone knew if a f5 and a f1 will get the same height?

  • My F5 Male is slightly shorter than my F1 female. Males tend to get taller than females but the earlier the generation the bigger the cat.

  • aww :3

that looks like naria and eyria from escaflowne as cats :B

  • the cat on the bottom looked like my cat when she was little. Mine is a reg. tabby cat.

  • That cat underneath the 'savannah' cat must be very, very dirty.

  • Very sweet and adorables cats

  • I miss my cat :(

I am severally allergic to cats :(((( which means I can never be with one

  • LOOOOOOOOOL Owned by allergies.

  • LOL come to think of it, its funny...but it sucks when I see other people enjoying their pets and I can only live with a freaking virtual pet online :((

Treasure what you all have people...if you have a pet and you are not allergic to it...I am happy for you.

  • Yeah envy is a bitch :( Maybe you can love dogs instead? :D

im glad i have 0 allergies.

  • lol I like how you put it...I try hard to stay away from being jealous. Apparently its not a pet's hairs or the pet itself people are allergic to (like in my case)....its their saliva and dander (like flakes on their skin or something) that trigger allergies. I have planned to bring a cat home when I am 50 and are done having kids etc. What is life without some hope....

Nice talking to you David. Have a lovely weekend.

  • :) Nice talking to you too, And i hope you can find a pet you can love for aslong as you like without suffering from allergies :P

  • :D thank you David. God bless you.

  • i love the music!

  • Great movie. But an awful music

  • The letter and number mean how close it is to its natural bloodline its a cross-breed from a serval and a domestic cat. F1 range from $13,000 to $15,000 and the F2-F3 range from $2500 to $5000

  • I have a question what does the f1 f2 f3 f4 f5 means? and are this cats related to the bengala cats? aanddd are they expensive?

  • we come from Denmark and would like a big f5. do you know a few breeders in Europe who have big f5?

  • By the time you get to F5 they rarely weigh more than 6Kg or so. The big ones are F1 and F2. I have a fairly large F5 and he weighs 16 lbs. (near 7Kg,), but that is unusual for an F5. Wonderful pets!!

  • Do F5's get as big as F1's?

  • No not usually. But it all depends what is bred into the line. ther are some outcrosses that are allowed to be used that can produce pretty big cats. Although, males tend to be larger than females, like with many species, so my F5 male is almost as big as my F1 female.

  • Beautiful cats, and I adore the music!!! :D Must be the Celtic in me.

  • How long have they known one another? I'm thinking about getting a playmate for my f3, as she gets lonely during the day.

  • In this they were only together for about six-nine weeks. They still all love each other. We have F5 kittens that were born on March 12 and are available. We are taking deposits on F2 kittens due at the beginning of June. Just Google Alota Spot Savannahs for pictures. Fantastic pets for fantastic prices.

  • f5 breed is only allowed in Australia. :(

Do you know how big the F5 will grow? does it still have the f1 tempere

    ment?

  • My F1 and F5 are the same size. F1 is a female and F5 is a male and males are bigger. Right now he is 11.5lbs and won't be 1 until March 20. They both are tall and sleek looking. As far as temperament, they are just like my house cats the only difference is they love water, they give headbutts and they love to be in the highest place in a room.

It is a shame they've banned them in Austraila. Savannahs make wonderful pets.

  • you need a licance in the uk but loads of people have them without one

  • where can i get one in uk

  • f 5 are only aloud in australia really what about usa

  • Wow...amazing looking Savannahs! We have an F3and F4. We also had an F2 but she got very ill and we had to let her go. Anyhow, your F1 is stunning. The ocelli on her ears is beautiful! Savannahs are the best. :)

  • Absolutely Adorable! I am a new fan of Savannahs! Love the music too! What's the name of the music if you don't mind me asking?

  • its so sweet!!! they licked each other

  • weird I have 2 cats that look just like yours... I male ranger born to my house cat sassy (don't know father)... and now he has one kitten that looks like that too. We kept both because they are fantastic to look at are your cats big? My cat rager is huge he weighs about 20 pounds (tall and long not fat)

  • They are just a bit over six months old and already over 10lbs each. They will all be pretty big when full grown. My F5 is the smallest in stature but she is really sweet. Are your cats Savannahs? These guys are amazing pets.

    Thanks for the note.

  • Not sure what mine are.... dont know who the father is for sure.... but they look like savanahs white spots on the ears spots all over ... and jump in the tub with me etc.... so I suspect they might be. Orangey color one is grey with the black spots everywhere...

The are all tall and skinny... and ranger (my big guy, headbuts me when he wants attention.

  • How big is the F5 gonna get as an adult?

  • Right now he weighs 13lbs. He just turned a year old in March. They keep growing for two. But, its not the weight that is impressive with Savannah's. He is tall, lean and all muscle.

  • haha, look what happens at 2:35

  • which one is the F-1??

  • The F1 is the lightest one. She is with the F5 boy in the beginning and later the F4 girl comes in. She loves to give head butts and we can't keep her out of the water.

  • Beautiful cats! I can't believe the F4 and F5 look that wild still. Amazing ears, ocilli, spotting...just wow. Congrats on your breeding program, that is just impressive!

  • Thank you, we really took our time to find just the right cats. Ty, the male, is just exquisite for an F5. He is already 8.5 lbs and only 6 months old. He is growing to be so sleek and elegant we are very pleased. The girls are full of spunk and growing just as fast. They are both over 7 lbs already, wow.

We can not wait to have babies.

  • They are very friendly. Just like any cat. Keep in mind that they are only babies. Boy was born in March and girls in April '08 so they got some grow'in to do. So exotic and so beautiful. The video does not do them justice.

  • ohh they are so sweet! Are they very friendly?cuddly?
