  • @arkee71

I have no religious beliefs aside from in God as a general theism - And I have plenty of tolerance. Do you care to back up your statement with proven ethical/rational fact?

  • El derecho al respeto ajeno es la paz! !Respect to all others and things, equals peace.)"

    - Benito Juarez

  • 1:30 An example of the racism that I absolutey hate in America. Some people are so stupid. 1. They assume all arabs as muslims 2. They assume that all muslims are terrorists 3. Therefore, they assume all arabs are terrorists.

I am an American/Egyptian Christian (although u probably wouldn't knwo I'm arab because of my appearance and accent) and I know that there are evil peope lwithing every country and every religion.

  • we don't pray to different god's it's the same God with different names. we all have the right to call God by what ever name we are comfortable with in whatever way we want or not at all. There are a few churches that open minded look into unitarian or unity. GOD is really to big to fit in one religion. As for me I love God not religion. I think religions seek more to enslave their members rather than truly bring them to God.

  • @just3cs That can't be true because the God of islam and the God of christanity have two conflicting views

  • @Hyperactiveroxerchic It's not that God has certain views, its the people who try to speak for God that have different views.Even in the same religion people have different views its still one God who loves us all and wants us to wake up to the fact that we are all brothers and sisters.I believe anyway, but everyone has the right to believe how they choose as long as not hurting others.

  • religious tolerance is horseshit. Well, religion is horseshit. Destroy it and evolve people, your only limiting yourself with such nonsense beliefs.

  • which is the song ???

  • @killerman50 Which song? There are a couple in there.

  • when a religion says to decieve and kill non believers...(the koran)....and ppl start to follow thru with this...ie strap bombs onto themselves and blow ppl up....somebody has to step up and end this religion. No one should be allowed to practice the muslim religion, its disgusting & Americans should never feel ashamed of wars that oppose terrorism & acts of irrationality...religion will never be agreed upon but some religions should not be allowed at all.

  • It is the religious who must learn tolerance. Jihadism has awoken many to the problem with religion...IN GENERAL.

Get it together theists or we atheists SHALL win!

Or would you rather go on to look ever more and more ridiculous?

  • most of the intolerance seems to come from people with no religious beliefs

  • I don't agree. People who are fanatically fundamental are the ones who seem to have issues with religious tolerance and dialogue.

  • @arkee71 I have to disagree with you on this point. Most of the intolerance comes from those who believe only their religion is the only way. People kill in the name of Religion every day.

  • @weedsnwildflowers yes PEOPLE kill...not religion...people kill for religion money emotions mental illness ...people kill for a variety of reasons...thats stupid to say religion kills people when most religious people do not kill...you fail.

  • @arkee71 disagree lol. its actually built in to all religions that theirs is the right one and to try and convert people to it. sooo.....if you're religious, you're most likely automatically intolerant. but whatever. you do what you do.

  • @Fatwood07 thats a stereotype..no more valid than any other racist or bigoted view..im not religious at all yet you attempt to paint me into a boc..im a pagan

  • @arkee71 i dunno i think i was pretty ambiguous. I used the words "if" and "most likely"..."you" was not meant to be you specifically. Are you trying to miss my point on purpose? Do you not agree that religions have conversion to their religion as a central part of accepting the responsibility of participating in said religion?

  • @Fatwood07 if your being ambiguous then dont get upset if someone misses youre point....no i do not think that all people that are part of a church are interested in converting others..a lot dont feel comfortable in that role id suspect and leave that to clergy...why get sidetracked wwhen the real issue is that they are spreading lies...yes the conversion thing gets on my nerves also...but you still cant make sweeping comments....fight monsters dont become one

  • @arkee71 I disagree completely. I can't count how many times religious people tell me I'm going to hell, and you're sinning. (In other words I'm a "bad" person) I don't stick my nose in peoples believes, nor do I force it upon them. I mind my own business. On the other hand I'm sure they're a ton of atheists forcing their beliefs down religious peoples throats as well. So we are all at fault, I guess. It just depends on the person if you think about it. So stop stereotyping a whole people?

  • With this video you are projecting quite a humanitarian message but as a Buddhist I must point out that there is no place for prayer in the orthodox Buddhist traditions.

  • The line between prayer and meditation is often a point of semantics. Perhaps ontologically significant, but it is a very fuzzy line.

But if it wins upaya brownie points with the militant atheists, then by all means...

  • You are wrong and very disrespectful! You have the right not to practice religion but at least respect others decision to believe how they want.

  • This was in response to jjwtube

  • Dear PR0GRAMMING,

you need to learn some manners, with comments like that, are you actually surprised that so many people keep bad-mouthing the non-religious?

  • Why don't you attack my arguments instead of playing the victim card?

God an imaginary friend have much in common? Remember, an imaginary friend: Cares for you when you are sick, looks after you.

Oh, and, as you would be well aware, that there are thousands of religions, so, as I call them 'ancient mythology' fits pretty well, and you will agree with me on that, because at most only 1 of them can be correct, so the other religions demand explanations. I put them down to ancient mythology.

  • I've got better things to do than be rude.

When this anti-religious fad goes the way of the dodo I'll be able to say that I was not obnoxious.

  • This anti-religious 'fad' isn't going away. American Atheists have increased substantially over the last decade and it's all due to de-conversions, not immigration or anything. Hopefully, the religious beliefs disapear with increased education, like it has done in Japan and western Europe.

  • @cnj4200 well if speaking the truth disrespects you then maybe you should examine your heart to make sure its aligned with truth

  • I am a Christian and very proud to be but if people choose to be jewish or muslim, then that is their business all we can do is show them the truth but don't harrass them if they reject it, it is between them and God at that point.

  • @cnj4200 i agree

  • Good work. Thank you.

  • I have done research into the five main world religions and all of them have a version of the "Golden rule" which when summed up says to treat others as you would like to be treated. If these religions would follow their own rule and promote peace like they were supposed to then we wouldn't have any problems like this.

  • "I am hopeful that the necessary transformation in our thinking will come about as our scientific understanding of ourselves matures. When we find reliable ways to make human beings more loving, less fearful, and genuinely enraptured by the fact of our appearance in the cosmos, we will have no need for divisive religious myths. CONT...

  • ...CONT;

Only then will the practice of raising our children to believe that they are Christian, Jewish, Muslim, or Hindu be broadly recognized as the ludicrous obscenity that it is. And only then will we stand a chance of healing the deepest and most dangerous fractures in our world. -Sam Harris

  • Toleration is not the opposite of intolerance but the counterfeit of it. Both are despotisms: the one assumes to itself the right of withholding liberty of conscience, the other of granting it.

-- Thomas Paine, The Rights of Man

"He who dares not offend cannot be honest"-Thomas Paine

  • WE KILL EACH OTHER OVER OUR RELIGIONS BECAUSE oUR RELIGIONS ARE INHRENRLY DEVISIVE, MANY OF THESE FAISH CORE DOCTRINES ARE ONES OF ABSOLUTISM, WHERE OTHER BELIEFS ARE EVIL DEMONIC DECEPTIONS. We can never have REAL tolerance between these faiths and between them and the rational. CONT...

  • ...CONT; Read their holy book,s their gods leave no room for such tolerance.

It's time we grow up and out of our need for these absurd and dangerous myths. Tolerating a persons right to have these beliefs is important, but so is tolerating the right of the rational critisize, challenge, and yes- even mock them. Many faiths are a threat to us all! Lets give up thsi feel-good pipe dream of peace between people of different divisive, absurd, dangerous mythologies,a nd call a spade a spade.

  • Intolerance of people who have different religious beliefs than oneself is a bad thing, but we must remember that it's the intolerance, not the religion that is bad. Religions don't kill people, fanatics who use religions as an excuse to kill people do.

  • amen to that

  • my sentiments exactly

  • Very good. We have to respect the religions of all people, even if we don't agree with everything everyone says.

  • Very Good- very moving. I hope you did well.
