  • Listening to a great master Steve Hackett on Sierra Quemada this is in memorian to Blake Mora and people who die today.... rest in peace.

    Mralbertrock

  • A master at work.

  • hear it rather

  • wish someone would put more guitar noir on youtube, I would love to see it

  • The True Music

  • Genius.

  • Godhead...simply Godhead.

  • Es ist einfach nur schön

  • In an advertising course at university, we used this as the bed for a car commercial assignment :>

  • ¡increíble, fantástico, me elimina!

  • Also known as "flight of the condor", there's an alternate version of this song, minus Hugo D. on drums, a simple and effective drum machine pattern instead gives way to guitar, keys, and bass. A MUST LISTEN!! for those of you who like to soar.

  • grande grande grande grazie siriusariazul

  • Yet another breathtakingly incredible offering from the master guitarist!

  • quite amazing

  • the solo blows my mind. strangely, when I hear the beginning of the solo- 5 seconds after it starts, actually-

I think of all colours of the colour- spectrum being illustrated before my eyes. there´s this majic in hackett´s guitar solos...

  • @NastyGreaser amen to that...

  • Grande Steve Hachett in questo brano!!

  • I saw Steve perform this live the year before Guitar Noir came out -- he did two shows at the Bottom Line and called it Flight of the Albatross. It's my all-time favorite Hackett tune, beating Spectral Mornings. It's gorgeous.

  • never saw it life! thats pretty rare.

  • I have other version of this song...

Ho un'altra versione di questo brano..

  • Although this one is from Guitar Noir, I only see lots of colors, sparkles. No black at all.....

  • @wots36 It could be because he plays a black guitar...

  • Sublime heavenly out of this world!!!

  • actually it is not out of this world.

but that depends on your point of view ;)

  • In the liner notes to Guitar Noir, it's stated that Sierra Quemada, loosely translated, means "Scorched Earth."

  • pure soul what a master on guitar!

  • siriusauriazul did a very good job putting this video together. This is from Hackett's solo album from 1993 called Guitar Noir. This is possibly one of his best songs from his entire solo career: (1975- first album while still with Genesis, then 1978 through today)....a very "visual" song as well....

  • Another sonic masterpiece!!

    Bravissimo... :D

  • altro bel brano di Steve!

  • one of my Hackett favorites! I know that Sierra means mountain. What is "quemada"? Is this a specific mountain range somewhere in the world?

  • quemada...burned

    the scorched earth to him...

  • is this really about apocalyptic vision???

  • @jeff99az , Hello there, sierra does not mean mountain it means more like mountain range, which means several of them in groups, now quemada means burnt of the female gender, because sierra is of the female gender in Spanish, lovely piece.

  • Quemada is burned

  • a guitar virtuoso noone plays guitar like him

as if he plays with his soul

    Excelent theme!

Please, somebody tell me what LP is this song from...

  • Guitar Noir

  • Probably the best instrumental guitar player / writer in the world, where does he find the melodies and the sounds on his guitar, absolutely fab. !

  • Interesting song by Steve Hackett.
