YES! I thought exactly the same thing just now - I'm 100% positive it's the same guy, Tommy Mattinson. Hahahaha, I laughed my arse off when I noticed that! Wow, Aphex djing and professional, world-class gurning (not just any old gurner) onstage. That's a winning combination in my book. Reckon Mattinson's a fan? Or is he in it for the money? Gotta love the guy anyway.

All of his music isn't that different though. Selected Ambient Works 1 and 2, I care because you do, and all his singles of that time were part of his " Analogue Era ". The Richard D. James album was his first using computers. Although that album was in the same vein as his early stuff, it pretty much turned into hardcore acid house stuff from then on. Good but not my thing

aphex twin isnt techno, never was, still isnt. also some of the heaviest 4/4 stuff ive heard from him has been prior to windowlicker, which on that note, im sure some people could manage to class it as a sub-genre of techno. But people cant genrealise for shit. You are clearly a bit ignorant to be calling aphex's newer tunes to be 'techno'... you might as well be regarding his ambient works to be jungle LOL! anyhow point is dont carelessly spout out music classifications.
