it is super hot. they could've easily had him still be american/from ny just spent his childhood in england, maybe gone to a boarding school, vacation home, lived with someone there or whatever. he's insanely loaded so it's not that hard to come up with a scenario that'd work, really you don't have to spend much time somewhere to acquire an accent.. even a few weeks & some people start having subtle changes.
