To answer my own question, I started over when my battle gauge ran out, this time at 'easy' level. Everything in place as described in the guide.

Glad it wasn't a glitchy copy, but pretty poor style from Mahalo not to say which difficulty level it was.

For those of you who claim to have wasted it with two minutes of face fire, I congratulate you on your chops ;-)

@Killionare76 You gotta shoot its head. I found a minigun sitting on ledge that you can grapple up to on the back side of the area. At around 5:53 in this video, if you look right and up you should see a couple of metal ledges hanging down. You can stay out of melee range from this bastard too while you rain bullet hell on its head. Then just finish it off with your MG and nades.

this one is easy. just shoot the damn eye. he even lowers his head nicely for you to shoot it. should be down in 2 minutes or less if you just keep shooting the eye and nothing else. of course, you miss a lot of fun, because if you keep shooting the eye the monster won't rise his head much... and won't spit ice and shit.. and will die too fast :P

For me this is just a stupid game with no storyline, just kill some monsters for the fun of shooting which is no fun, you have to kill a boss for like 20 minutes or smth which makes the game pointless and your Als just stand or move somewhere without giving any help at all + lots more. If i'd have time I would explain to you but I don't recommend it...this game was just hyperhyped IMO. If you like games for half-brains then this is the right one!

Yeah, I feel ya...The AI allies are idiotic retards, but they do make good meat shields...

I never play alone, and always play online since it's fun with 4 human players instead of AIs...

As for the story, if you have played the original Lost Planet then you can connect some of the dots..

The way the game is presented in episodes is pretty much a P.O.V. of each group leading to the final confrontation with the Over-G akrid...

And there are ways to kill a boss in 5 min...

This was obviously done on easy mode. Just god damn terrible. You took friggin 8mins to take it down on easy mode where it takes me less than 3mins to take it down on extreme mode. Hell probably takes others less time than that.

I rmemeber hearing this guy was hard from reading comments before I actually played the game, so I expected a challenge. But when I got here, I plowed through him in less than maybe 3 minutes, without any co-op help. That's not me bragging, just pointing out this player is terrible xD.

I have to agree with irobot1234542, I don't think that many people need a walk-through on this game in easy mode. In hard mode I didn't see any battle armor and that many rocket launchers. In fact, there was only one rocket launcher. Still it's nice to see some gameplay. Might convince others to play, it's a great game.

Ive only just got this game and killed it with conventional weapons before realising that the concourse to the Gatlings had destroyed. Ah well. I did the same as sippo. Blow a leg off then use gum grenades etc. on its head.
