  • i always say which one of you dumbasses looked into his eyes!

  • The giant snake scared the crap out of me as a kid. I always made my mom ride on the right side of the car, so it would eat her and not me.

  • I LOVE this ride! But good thing me and my friend had fast passes for it though, or we would of had to wait almost two hours in line lol :D

  • this ride scared the shit out of me. the whole time i was saying "Mother f**kers!! get me off this ride!!"

  • hit the thumbs up button if you duck on the part of the ride with the darts even though there not real:)

  • ya i was duckin while the darts where getting thrown

  • @sonic123211 awesome,i do every time:)

  • Could someone tell me who Mara is, thanks in advance and also, do you have to go through the middle door or can you go through one of the other's instead?

  • Some are unfortunate that they only get to go through one of the doors each time they ride, but the central computer has a pattern of paths each troop transport goes through. No one transport goes through the same door after another. Whichever door you see the transport in front of you go through, you will go through a different one. Also, check wiki's article on Indiana Jones Temple of the Forbidden Eye. It explains a lot which I can't here. Hope this answers your question.

  • @cineguy888 The walls move, you always go through the same door.

  • @xoRapunzelxo Mara is the temple's god who awards people to whatever door they go threw IF they dont dont look into his eyes. Hes the guy with the big head at the beggining.

  • @xoRapunzelxo an Indian Diety that is like evil i guess

  • @xoRapunzelxo Mara is a Buddhist Demon, who usually ties to tempt Buddha and his subjects. (a.k.a the riders)

  • Could someone tell me who Mara is, thanks in advance

  • i hated it

  • I mean did u enjoy the ride or not

  • Of course! I freakin' love this ride!!

  • was this ride fun

  • If you can't tell by the video--I mean--whaa----RIDE IT and find out!

  • I remember the first time I got on this ride as a little kid. Scared the crap out of me lol

  • LOVE THAT RIDE!

  • I'm 16 and I still avoid looking Mara in the eyes. Is that weird? Haha.

  • @ShikamaruXTemari that's ok, i'm 20 and still don't :) and i duck when the "darts" are going by as well XD

  • @ShikamaruXTemari I'm almost 27 and I still have nightmares about Mara sometimes. Well, not nightmares, exactly, just weird dreams. I've never been scared of the ride, there's just something so intimidating about Mara to me. I'd love to be able to walk through the scene and go right up to it, though. That would be awesome, but also really freaky!

  • @disneyclint You are probably scared of Mara's big head. Imagine if he was actually was real and he could make all the faces we can like mad an whatnot.

  • i love that ride*<:)

  • Im going to Disneyland on naugust 11th for my first time. Could someone tell me what happens in Indiana Jones Adventure, or give me advice about other attractions in Disneyland. I cant wait to go, Ive been digging up information about Disneyland since last week! :)

  • Congrats, hope you have a fun trip! I wouldn't want to tell you what happens in each of the rides, except for a short description of the story elements (which you've probably found already), because that would defeat the purpose of the attractions. They are simply special, technologically enhanced experiences based on the Disney stories most already know when then enter the park.

  • @hellokitty549 like @cineguy888, I won't tell you what happens in each of the attractions, but I will recommend definitely going on Indiana Jones! (It is my favorite ride!) Popular rides like this one, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain, etc. have a special system available called "Fast Pass". I would definitely look into that (you can Google it). This helps you avoid long lines while you go and do other fun things in the park! Also... buy a churo and a Dole whip! :) Have fun! :)

  • @hellokitty549 Me too! I'm so excited! :D

  • @hellokitty549 you can go to this one, space mountain, matterhorn, splash mountain or big thunder mountain. THose are my favorites and I have been to hte park many times.

  • @hellokitty549 you can go to this one, space mountain, matterhorn, splash mountain or big thunder mountain. Those are my favorites and I have been to the park many times.

  • ♥ this ride...i could go on it at any day,any time

  • @fuzzybubbles13 Really?

  • @mermaidamp well i guess it is just an expression cause that might be impossible...but i love this ride

  • i l0ve this ride!!!!

  • I looked at that Mara straight in the eye and I said your A WANKAH!!!

  • @ironviper6627 OMG! You did? I did the same thing like U did. I told Mara, "Oh God! What do we do"? and "I don't understand U,speak up". Next year,I'll tell Mara "I didn't do it", "Gold rules" and "I didn't mean it".

  • @mermaidamp yeah. that maras one tough cookie.

  • Lol Indy always getting frustrated with our tourist actions..

  • omfggg, I love this ride. I just got back home form disneyland. It went by way too fast.

I know this freakin ride by heart. lol

  • anyone know if there is some kind of video showing how this ride was built? It was just sooo much fun!

  • I hate that damn snake!

  • @platinumglitchmint Me,too! I hate that darn snake. Please clean up that language, because I don't like it when people like U use it in the comment boards. I ONLY like Cavern Of Bubbling Death. That explains why I love this ride is because there's a scene I like. I screamed on the 2nd round of Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple Of The Forbidden Eye when the vehicle got into the snake temple.

  • lol i believed the warning and closed my eyes the entire ride

  • @TheKnightwing1197 Why did U close your eyes. I closed my eyes when the vehicle went into the Chamber Of Destiny and then I buried my face into the plastic covering of my light blue Mickey Mouse wizard hat lanyard. I had my eyes open and started to scream&duck on the several parts of the ride.

  • @mermaidamp when the big voice said i would dissapear if i looked into his eyes i was scared, i was 10 at the time so i had no clue that it was truth or just a silly joke

  • This and Space Mountain are my favorite rides at Disneyland. I just saw the two first Indy movies for the first time so I'm going to enjoy this ride even more now! Yay!

    Nice job filming!

  • ABSOLUTE FAVORITE OF ALL TIME!!! I love the boulder and the arrows. My first time was when i was 8 i was so nervous and afterwards i was screaming "THIS IS THE BEST RIDE EVER!!!" i rode it three times

  • omg disneyland has the coolest rides ever. It's like your actually in the temple from the movie. With all of their effects, they make it seem so real.

  • you ruined it with the music :/

  • HA! You would enjoy Japan's version of the attraction better then. There's almost no music whatsoever-just sound effects. I'm not sure how I ruined anything, seeing as the music you hear in my video of the ride is actually playing through the sound system in the vehicle during the ride. It's not hard to tell it's not edited in after the fact.

  • oops...

    I'm sorry,

I was on the Disneyland website so I must've been hearing some of the background music from there o_o

  • Oh, haha! Yeah, as if the experience of watching a home-video of a Disney ride could be any better, yes, having two websites' music playing at the same time will tend to ruin things! I would suggest going and experiencing the ride yourself if you can, it's still awesome even though, if you've read a few comments on here, there is some distress amongst people with how it's been neglected by Disney over the years. Still, one of the best rides in Disneyland though!

  • I know!

I'm in band so at the end of the year we go to either knotts or disneyland,

and I'm hoping we go to disneyland,

and watching all my sixth grade friends get totally freaked xD

    Because I'm in eighth,

most kids in my class are sixth xD

it's gonna be so much fun...

I even emailed my teacher with the give a day get a disney day thing ROFL.

  • Magic Music Days? I did that in WDW, it was awesome. So, goodluck on getting your teacher to put that on your itinerary for the trip!

  • yeah, I think so.

last year the bands and orchestras won five different trophies o_o

  • @AwesomeKoko1 Who ruined it with the music? John Williams wrote the music and he didn't ruin it.

  • @mermaidamp

Oh, that was a mistake xD you see, I was on the disneyland site and it was playing the music so I thought he put up different music over it.... I quickly realized I was wrong bout the music and corrected myself xD

  • its called MARA

  • h thats what it's called...?

I call it Giant Idol Guy...

  • Yeah, it's called Mara and somehow I always thought Mara was a girl, you know an idol goddess or something..

Anywho I love this ride and I love Disneyland.

  • 1:19 whats the giant face that kills u if u look in its eyes called

  • @mibevan Mara! Who does her voice?

  • do you actually drive the car like a real car kind?... or is it like autopia???

  • It's on a track. You don't really drive; everything is automated.

  • ah... thanku. i went on the ride a couple weeks ago for the first time.. it was awesome.

  • Interesting comment: You're correct that the vehicle follows a groove in the track, but they actually drive themselves! The track only supplies power via two thick cables connected to the underbelly of the vehicle chassis. The EMVs as they're technically called, actually steer themselves along the track. They are not guided by that groove as other trides are, but by computers inside and out of the vehicles picking up information from sensors along the track. It's a very sophisticated system.

  • No, "burningface" is correct, you don't actually drive at all. The rie is controlled entirely by the onboard computers navigating the vehicle through the sensors on the track. As far as I could tell, the steering wheel in my car didn't even rotate---it was completely static. Which is actually a bit less fun I thought, especially for little kids and some adults I guess!

  • me and my friends ride a lot of time in one day and most of the time in the front

  • omg i loved this ride, iwent on it 3 times xD

  • ha ha ha awesomme

  • i wish that i knew how to build this on rct3 X3

  • I didn't know that you can video tape the ride...I thought that was ilegal.

  • It is not illegal. They ask that you not use flash photography or video camera lighting (as it ruins and disrupts guest experience), but yes, it is OK to videotape on most rides. You will find many videos of most all Disney rides on Youtube.

  • You can take flash pictures I asked the employees

  • Dude, you did really well with your camera being steady! It's seems easier with rides like Pooh Bear, Pirates or maybe Splash Mountain. But this was fantastic! Well done!

  • I LOVE THE ROOM AT 3:29!

  • omg i rode this ride so many times i always talk to people on the ride im like "ello ello ello!!! wat do we have here?! my name is cody!!!! wats urs!!!" i always freak them out!

  • you freak people out by saying your name is cody?

Also, I would be very disappointed if you said it to someone thats never been on the ride before

  • get over it!!!!!! besides no in there right mind would borbaly ride with u!! and most of them laugh! duh! i make alot of people laugh! haha and u wats with the name "SandNinjas"?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? wat did u lose a bet! gosh ninjas are gay as crap!

  • dude screw them lol i think your first comment was funny as hell

  • @Co9da dude, i ride with heaps of people

and did you run out of actual insults towards

my comment so you diss my name i dont even want anymore.

  • i hate when people do it

  • lol

  • LOL i like riding rides with people like you =) haha

  • xcant wait

  • Disneyland really is the happiest place on Earth! I miss it so much :(

  • "Great, I ask for help nd the bring me tourists!" XD

the last time i rode i was in the 'drivers' seat so i acted like was 'driving' the jeep. like in the bug room i said "Lights, lights, where are the lights!"(headlights turn on reveling scrabs)"oh god, Ok, lets turn of the lighs!"i acted every part out. in the dart room "oh boy..."('darts' start shooting at you)" AHHH everyone down! unlees you WANT to die!" XD. really if you were on the ride with me hope you had a fun time...XD

  • That's so awsome that you would do that!

I always try to make people's day at Disneyland a memorable one. Thanks for contributing to making everyone's day a great one!

  • LOL dude I was on with you I was the guy in the back

  • XD

    that must of been awsome!

  • Haha, no kidding. How can you tell by the video which particular ride it was? That you were right behind me?

  • @cineguy888 ... ok i was joking lol?

  • .AND YOU THINK IS FUNNY???..guys like you ruined other people's fun....NEXT TIME, SHUT YOUR MOUTH AND ENJOY THE RIDE, SCREAM IF YOU WANT, BUT DONT SAY A WORD PLEASE¡¡¡¡¡...

  • I would agree. Actually, let's keep the screaming (especially for those California-girls, you know who you are!) to a minimum please. :)

  • im sorry man...i was very rude in my last post , Disneyland is a place to do anything that you want....enjoy¡¡¡¡

  • I wasn't sure whom you were directing that comment to. I thought it was somebody else I read who commented on how they like to talk during the ride. If it was towards me, I'm not sure why, but that's alright. You have a right to be angry for any reason. Thanks for the apology though, but that's what the comment page is for...Expressing gratitute or frustration with what was posted and other's responses towards it.

  • @conner623 (Sorry this is kind of a late comment) I do something similar to that every time I go on Star Tours, I'm a happy little tourist who ends up getting really mad that the droid takes us into comets and runs the Death Star trench. I wish I could have been on that Jeep lol! I should do that next time I'm in the front seat on that ride. I might be going three different times before the summer so I should have a good chance.

  • Oh hey I wasn't blaming you for the audio! I meant if I were in charge of the ride at Disneyland I'd sychronize the audio comments with the door chosen. The ride mixes them up. I wonder if someone working there will read this and suggest it to the managers....

    thanks for the reply

  • The ride hasn't synchronized the exit audio with the door you go through in a long time. All last summer over a period of about 50 rides and all 3 doors I always got the fountain of youth comment at the end.

  • Wow, mphutsk you got to ride it 50 times over a single summer?!?!? I don't think I've ridden it 50 times since it opened!

Yeah I sometimes notice missing effects and audio but it doesn't happen too often. I was on it Dec of 08 and it was okay, except once when the doors didn't light up or use the voices. Oh and just before closing time, we were going to make it the last ride of the trip; we got inside and it broke down! Me and my fiancee' were practically crying!!!

  • Haha, no worries! I agree they should go through and fix the effects, the poor old system is getting a little rusty. I'm just jealous that you got to ride it 50 times! :)

It seems the audio is the least of their problems at this point. Many of the effects don't work at all anymore and the ride audio cuts out completely in some cases. Very sad to see one of the greatest attractions in the world in this state, on the other hand, Disney should have enough resources to go through and fix it! Hint

  • It's easy when you live right down the street and go to the park when you're not working there ;-)

  • I'd also like to comment that whatever camera you used to film this does a really good job in low light. A lot of cameras that even use IR can't pick up nearly as much detail as you did.

  • Yeah, don't count on it. There are many-a-blog with great suggestions on how to fix, expand and even plus Disney's rides, which they apparently don't read because almost none of the suggestions ever come to life in the parks. I don't think Disney even cares what people think unless they complain directly to a manager at the park. Even then, they probably don't doo much.

  • I know, my Mother and I would always come up with great ideas for fixing rides or bringing back older ones.

When the Submarines closed, both mom and I suggested bringing it back but using a movie theme for it. (Nemo hadn't been made yet so we both suggested the Little Mermaid.)

There used to be a motor boat cruise somewhere that got taken out that I liked. I think they should never have closed the Skyway or the Country Bear Playhouse and I sooo wish Mission Space came to Disneyland!

  • This is my fave ride at Disneyland.

I have to say though, I know how hard it is to film this ride, but I can't seem to get a good clip of the boulder coming at you.

If it were up to me I'd still work out one or two little details that I happen to notice. Like syncronizing the comment Sallah makes at the end, with the door your car chooses. Example: Youth door = comment about fountain of youth and needing strollers.

    That kinda always bugged me.

    But awesome ride!

  • Thanks for the comment and I understand what you mean. I have many regrets on the way I filmed last time I was there. I would do a much better job if I could go back now.

The rolling boulder chamber is one the hardest points to film. The only advice I can give is, keep it zoomed out all the way and keep framed on the ball until you are under it so as to get the maximum strobe effect, then just try to keep the camera facing straight forward and level.

As for the audio, I can't fix that! hehe

  • this is a treat for me, because whenever i went, we always went through the left door out of the three doors in the beginning. too bad i cant see anything. i heard it was a little bit different depending on the doors. because when i went, the car i went on stopped on the rope bridge for a little before going off again, while my friend said they didnt stop at that part at all. weird.

  • hahah cause i remember getting scared because of stopping on the bridge. unless the ride got screwed up and stopped working for a half a minute o.O

  • From 2:38-2:40 when Indy says "Careful!Watch out for anything that slithers!" Doesnt anyone notice that his voice was like monotone low?It was so weird!

  • i think disneyland california is the best because its the most original. its the classic disneyland.

  • @krikorianpublishing1 I tell all of my friends that EXACT same thing. Everyone I know is like "No way, Disneyworld is bigger and better" disneyland is the park I would pick any day. One of my favorite rides is matterhorn and that is one of the original rides. I agree, Disneyland is the classic one.

  • the disneyland in california is the BEST

  • is this like dinosaur at disney WORLD?

  • Yes, in the very fact that practically the only difference is the theming. Disneyland's Indiana Jones Adventure and DisneyWorld's Animal Kingdom "Dinosaur" both utilize the exact same ride system (self-propelled sensor guided enhanced motion vehicles) and track layout. I guess there is one other important difference between the two rides and that is that Dinosaur doesn't have an onboard soundtrack like that of Indiana Jones. Only que and pre-show music with dialogue and sound effects onboard.

  • this ride owns

  • Owns...Disneyland? Yes, I agree! Just kidding, I know exactly what you mean. I think it's one of the coolest there and in the entire world for that matter.

  • you guys are right i have not been on this ride before, infact i had never been to disney land

although i have been to walt Disney world

  • then film the dinosaur ride in animal kingdom sl much more bumper my dad lost his phone!

  • Actually, I did try when I was there not long ago, but it was useless. Not only is Dinosaur much wilder and more turbulent (beleive it or not; they didn't tone it's EMVs down like they did with Indiana Jones), but sadly there just wasn't enough light for my dinky little camcorder to get a clean image so it wasn't even worth watching. The sound is neat, but still not very well recorded on consumer equipment thus, I didn't even bother posting it. Sorry! Browse around, you'll find a couple others!

  • i haven't been to animal kingdom in a long time, also i don't like to film rides

  • Hey man, I WAS messin' with you, but I do totally understand how you feel-especially if you've never been on the ride; watching a shaky home video isn't very cool at all. This ride utilizes what are referred to by Disney as "enhanced motion vehicles", which are basically mobile "Star Tours" simulators giving you an out-of-control feeling, very turbulent ride throughout the attraction. I am however an aspiring filmmaker and have since been dreaming up ways to improve the filming next time I go.

  • next time keep the camera still

  • Haha yeah, right! Obviously you've never even been on the ride before...

  • when i was on this the ride broke down

we were traped for 20 minutes

but in the end we got a fastpass

  • cool

  • COOL ride, we went 2 disneyland two weeks ago & ive been on it 5 times, nice video

  • It wasn't shot in HD if that's what you're referring too.

  • hmmm high quality or standard low life quality? gee i wonder.

  • Really Good!

  • Nice video man, I hope you enjoyed it there!!!!!!

  • sweet ride
