  • @BDDave I believe that you can find that song on one of two albums. 1. MCMXC A.D. and 2. Cross of Changes albums. Hope that was some what helpful.

  • I used to pump Eon up on the 8" bazooka tube in the back of my Z -car, circa 1991...I thought I was the shit, and that bass tube was a real game-changer at the time, believe it or not. The Shamen was another early dance/techno favorite of mine. Twenty years goes by faaaast !!

  • @bustinsnorkle nice I had the Shamen too AND the Enigma song with those chanting Monks. What was that one called?? Good old cassette tape singles and my 8" bazooka tube. Don't tell still have the bass in my truck!

  • @BDDave Too funny because that same old tube I had back in the day is still bumpin' along in my boat to this day. And I remember that Enigma thing too , had a girlfriend that liked to throw that on and get busy !

  • Excellent! I thought I was the only who wanted to use Dune in a rave tune. I never got round to it, though I glad someone did..... Nice to hear the intro from Human league's 'Love Action' which was also used in 'The Horn Track' by Egytian Empire.

  • Comment removed

  • @Rotunno77 wow, I think you are spot on with the sample from "Love action" at 3:45! Sadly had never heard of, "'Egyption' not 'Egyptian."

  • @BDDave Hi Dave, the tune is 'The Horn Track' by Egytian Empire. Enjoy!

  • @Rotunno77 Man, that was old skool, I liked it!

  • @Rotunno77 check out Astral Projection - Dancing Galaxy :)

  • One of the best dance songs ever. Between this and 'Final Warning', I'm not sure which one rocks my world the most. Ian was such a great artist, it's so sad that he's gone from this world. It makes me treasure my copy of "VOID DWELLER" even more. Thanks for the music and the great memories of my youth, Ian! Hope you're rockin' cloud 9.

  • now this is pure techno in yer face.. not that Deadmouse krappo.. j.k.. not.

  • May he rest in peace for all eternity.

  • sounds like the boss stage in sonic rush

  • Hey antigraceful from what I know -

J Saul Kane a.k.a Depth Charge was the prodigy of EON, he has credits on some EON material as Loveday gave Kane his start.

  • @JEDI7ACEN . Yup beat my Kenwood cassette tap and mini amp connected to my 10 CD changer in the trunk. Gotta love the iPods!

  • @JEDI7ACEN 1976 Eldorado 8 track...cool shit hehe

  • To me EON was so much more cerebral than all of the canned techno that came out during the same period.

  • I too remember dancing to this at Bonham Exchange in San Antonio... I also danced to it last night at a little club called 'Atomix'... great memories!

  • Holee shit!

Also haven't heard this since back in the day! Good to see others out there looking up our pasts!

Got to love the intertubes, it makes all of this possible - even finding Woodallen's Co-Imperial! (1500 only white lable from Madchester in 91!)

  • Bitchin out. Have not heard this track since back in the day. First time I heard it Dj Angus played it and "fear is the mind killer" on Crucial Cuts on ZZZZ102.1fm Brisbane. Great tracks and it was one of our best mix tapes.

  • that bass line used to sound sooo good pumping out of the woofers in my MR2 while rolling with the T-Tops off. good times.

  • Classic, I was driving my red 1991 Mustang converible with a 10" thumpin' bass as well. Good times!

  • @stereopathic not as good as the mr2, but i had 4 Yamaha club series II 15's in the back of a ford escort. def got some attention.

  • @stereopathic what yr of MR 2?

  • @stereopathic >>>> I hear yah'...... it also sounded pretty damn good in my old CRX with two 15" subs hittin' seriously hard...... still have this CD to help bring me back every once in a while to the good ole' days here in Houston.TX. ...........

  • Wow, talking about the cars in which we experienced this music...it takes me back! I jammed to "Spice" in my 1988 Chevy Corsica...those factory 6X9 rear speakers put out surprising thump! Now I'll download "Spice", and enjoy it in my new Acura TL with the upgraded "ELS" audio surround sound system. Wow, times have changed!

  • RIP Ian

  • RIP Ian

  • I remember this from House Nation Program from SAC in San Antonio.

  • I remember hearing it at the Bonham Exchange, San Antonio, Texas summer 1991. First time I heard it, I knew I had to have it. As such, I went to WaterLoo Records in Austin and got the singe. About two years ago, I exchanged an email with Ian about his music. I am glad I was able to correspond with him as he was so pleasant. He will be missed dearly!

  • I wish i had gone to Waterloo Recs and scored the single...

  • @79glastron Hi from a Bonhamer & one of the Bitch Brigade; Standing in front of those speakers next to the window when this was playing was a must!

  • This was one of the best dance songs of the early nineties. We would dance all night into the morning.

  • i hear ya on that one. i really think this was one of the most influencing tunes of the era. we all very much enjoyed this one, along with get funky by return of the living acid. the spice ruled though!

  • Saul Kane.... is still around...

Last track I have from EON... "Worlds Beyond".

    IT'S A STORMER! BANGING TRACK!

  • danced to this at The Roxy in NYC, Weekends in Atlanta and Trax in DC. One of the greatest.

  • eon 1989 uk great times.

  • Genius track. Banging!

  • This song rocks just as hard as it did back in the day at a lil club called 6400 on the Richmond strip in Houston TX. Any one who spent there wkeds up & dn the strip knows what I'm talking about!

  • OMG. . .you are NOT kiddin. . .I know what ur talkin bout kid! It was on at 6400 wasn't it.....those were the days yo!!

  • Right on! 6400, numbers and power tools. Good times that was in the late 80s

  • My cousin would drive from NOLA to go there and come back two days later with his eyes and jaw in check yurd! ha ha

  • The sickest hook ever. Back in the day this would fill the floor when i played this.

  • I am gutted. i used to carry this album in my pocket on an old C90, so that in my deepest mess, i could always feel good, using a tape machine. much missed,

  • R.I.P. Eon.

    Your music will never die.

  • R.I.P. Ian.. thanks for your great music.

by the way, great video BDDave

  • This track was the beginning of Techno. RIP

  • Techno began in the mid 80's, they were even calling it Techno by 88 - check out Model 500 et al. The influences can be traced back even further through early 80's Electro to the likes of Kraftwerk in the 70's. No disrespect intended - it's still a top tune.

  • they invented a term for Eon in America, dark PsyTrance. Whatever, it was banging!

  • The "Spice Must Flow" LOLCAT ... BRILLIANT!

    RIP, Ian.

  • THe spice must flow ...Shai hulud..harvester

  • R.I.P -- Left his mark on the scene for sure. Takes me back to carefree days on the Manchester scene in the very early '90's.

  • Rest in space. The Spice Must Flow.

    R.I.P.

  • I'm really sad to hear that Ian has pasted away, such a lovely bloke, what was it?
