is that crazytalk6 pro or standard, because i have standerd and i dont have as much features as what he just showed in that video, i dont have that key editor thing and my puppeteering panel is very limited! im annoyed now >.>
When do two people hold a conversation facing the viewer? Shame CT6 didn't include meshing that worked all the way from front view to side view. Would have been easy to do. Just another set of mesh warps based on the degree of turn.
@TruthSurge can you tell me more about this. so far hours and hours spent trying to figure out how to get characters to face a different direction, and for two characters to actually face each other, crazytalk seems to avoid this reality. Even posted the question on a crazytalk forum and haven't heard anything from them or anyone. Had I known I don't know if I would have bought the program. This is something very basic and essential, and they are oblivious!
@ancientlyoung No, I can't. I don't think CT allows for a full profile view. As I said, it would be simple to include a profile or any degree turn mesh as a separate mesh start point. Your pic is a profile? you apply the profile (side) mesh and go. but maybe a newer version allows it. I have version 6. something. 2 something. so I'm not really sure. It is a great program but I prefer menus over weird icons. Words and icons work for me better than just icons.
@TruthSurge thanks for getting back to me so soon. the newer and latest version of CT is the animator, I have it and I don't think it gives me the option of making a full profile as you describe wish "mesh" capabilities. Would there be a way of inserting or using such a function manually? The truth is, I can't find it now, CT has a tutorial on the youtube where they show how to use their "flip" function (one of the icons on the upper row) and they have a runner change directions -
@TruthSurge but besides that I can't find it, they don't really show how to use it, they just say see you press the flip and la viola, well I press the flip and all that happens is my actor gives a little shrug (as it does in their own tuturials).
@ancientlyoung I don't have that newer one so no idea but again, I think you're hosed. You MIGHT be able to import your pic and then set up your eyes/mouth spots in a way that it sort of moves them up and down correctly and then swivel the profile in your face setup as far around as possible. Not sure cuz I have never tried it. Anyway, good luck with it and if you do get it happening, send me a note or a vid link. good luck!
@TruthSurge just finished corresponding with CT technical support, and they bassicly admit that CT doesn't provide this most basic function. They referred me to the flip function, but admitted that it doesn't turn the face and give a proper change of direction, not to speak about a back view. Finally they suggested I get their 3D program iclone, which I don't think is compatible with CT.
@ancientlyoung That said, I agree with you that CT looks like a good program and I think they mean well and are trying to continuously update their program, so I am hopeful that they will acknowledge the need to provide for this basic function, and provide their clients with a new revised CT update with side-view and face turning, and even back turning.
excuse me, how did you get the yellow highlight thing on the cursor? I can't move my characters like you did with dad. I'm a beginner. thank you

Cartoon characters' facial animation looks much better than on a (real) face with more details.
