Actually, 3 of the 5 CWDs are from Ontario: Chris (CWD1) from Toronto, Henrietta (CWD2) from Rockland, and Angelina (CWD5) from Sudbury. But Ontario isn't as bad compared to Alberta, where 7 contestants over 6 years come from Calgary alone, at least 3 of which made the final three.
@kelvSYC Ok I couldn't get solid information on where the Season 1 drivers were from (and I know/agree, Alberta and BC are very highly represented on the show as well).
@kelvSYC By the way I sent this video to the MTOs in Ontario, BC and Alberta. At this time, Ontario's hasn't replied at all, and BC and Alberta's took three pages to deny there's anything wrong (despite obvious evidence to the contrary).
@BoredomCorner No provincial organization is going to admit that their driver license instructors slip up about giving some awful drivers the privilege to drive. It would be a loss of face. That's also why the legal system can act slow about admitting errors to the wrongly convicted. Ontario hasn't replied yet I presume? As for British Columbia and Alberta, changing their minds would make them feel as if they're not above the rest of Canada with all the prosperity and maverick politics.
@BoredomCorner Then Alberta will be interesting because it will get harder and harder and harder for those currently in power to blame others within or outside the province for their mistakes. If little changes in the next few years, Alberta will surpass Ontario with one political party holding provincial office.
I hear you! It's amazing that these piss-poor drivers got a license at all. And yes part of the blame should definitely be placed on the Driving Instructors. Where I live, there are so many drivers (If you can call them that) that should be on this show. People speed constantly in the downtown area like they are in a drag race, people drive past the white line and block people from crossing the street or risk getting hit by a car etc. It's complete chaos!
