Love John's song writing during the early Beatles' years. I was just a kid but Beatlemania is still a very vivid memory of mine. I can remember my Dad turning on the car radio and the Beatles were constantly being played.

@goodnamepending Bob Dylan introduced them to weed in '65. After that, they were smoking @ breakfast and throughout the filming of HELP. During the skiing scenes, they were totally stoned.

But in the studio, they recorded sober. Occasionally they lit up and recorded. But they realized that they would have to do it over after listening the next day to what they had recorded. The boys used drugs, but their final tracks/overdubs were recorded sober.

It makes people sad because it was so damn good and they weren't part of it, but noone can ever be as great as the Beatles were.
