@RGHatchling There are a few still around. The Hollowmen, an Australian show, is quite good political satire. Unfortuntaely have not been able to find it online.
Honestly, though I've seen all episodes of Yes (Prime) Minister, twice, I still don't all the jokes. Maybe 93% of them, but I think the time difference doesn't help either.
He didn't lie because he honestly believed that what he had said was the truth. That's not lying - it's just called being factually wrong. There was no intent to mislead anyone and no knowledge that what he was saying was false - that isn't lying.
@hasablad69 Yes in reality he could just raise a point of order the next day and ask to correct the record or make a personal explanation. It would be embarrasing, and lead to the opposition getting some extra firepower, but it would be pretty much impossible to find him in breach of privilage.
@MrSlackJack The Opposition would, I believe, be incredibly stupid to do so as they would appear opportunistic, small minded, and desperate. In my capable hands, I would slaughter them, both in the House and in the media - "It seems that the Opposition are upset that the Prime Minister and his government are honest and truthful - traits, which they, apparently, don't value."
@abuhamza1970 i must disagree. The Thick of It has too much swearing. More than half the comedy in this show comes from the way they twist the language. The Thick of It just substitutes swear words for the clever writing of this show.

absolutly brilliant, and I totally agree, why don't they make shows as witty and delightfully satire as this?

Why aren't there any more TV shows like this? Because Hacker's reform of education didn't go through.

You got that right! I started watching this on Georgia's PBS station back in 2005. It is the best sitcom ever!

@fuckyiuyiu you might want to look at "The thick of it" slightly less subtle and more profane but extremely funny nontheless
