Also the Escudo had a clear windscreen whereas the Tacoma had the supports like in the video. And the large flat carbon bits either side of the driver are for the large vents on the side of the car..

That is Rod Millen in the Toyota. I have seen every run they have done in person, no doubt. Another give away is Millen's motocross helmet. Tajima wears a completely different full face helmet with no sun visor.
@BoPunk the beauty with the UNLIMITED division at pikes peak is you can build a vehicle however you want it. putting the shifter on the left side is functional no doubt. look at Rhys Millen's PM580. he used the same shifting gear as Rod's tacoma. and this is clearly Rod's tacoma...end of story!

You are in fact correct, atleast half correct from what i can tell anyways(im not sure if this is the Tacoma or not). This is not Tajima's Escudo, obvious tells being the shifter is entirely to high. another being the hump/possibly vent on the left side of the hood would not be visible at the distance in the Escudo. Just my two cents.
its almost imposible to drive whit this car but u need skills......if you drive in this car u maste be feel weird like in some cage or whatever but nice ride!
