  • this guys are nothing but ship raiders, they should be blown offf the ocean, like it or not each country have the right to do what ever they want, take up to the piece of shit united nations have them do somthing....

  • @usaamerica1 If everyone has the right to do what they want, why are you criticizing Sea Shepherd?

  • @usaamerica1 im gussing ur a retarded jap

  • the nisshin maru is like the Death Stars, because it's like the death of whales. we support the sea sherpherd's 100%.

  • Go on with your important work! Under Jolly Roger for the giants of the sea.

  • The ban still stands. Japan needs a 2/3 majority.

  • Japan are Ocean Poachers!

    You ROCK Sea Shepherd!!!

    stay safe

  • Can I point out that Butyric Acid is not harmless.

It is in fact an severe irritant to skin and eyes and mildly toxic if swallowed.

Whats wrong with plain old stink bombs? Or paint? :(

  • Somebody should defend the poor people on Iraq.

  • Yes, but someone needs to defend the poor whales in the oceans as well.

  • YAY for team work!!! while zingtea takes the whales smukai2 takes the people of Iraq.

Me? I can help both of you guys while I am dealing with all the insanity of the whole wide world:)))

  • Why do you want to save the Whales?

  • Because whales are:

    1. Indispensable for biodiversity and marine ecosystems

    2. Sentient beings that are as intelligent or more intelligent than humans

    3. Beautiful

  • 1.-minke whales in the southern ocean eat krill NOT fish

2.-there is no reason to kill them.

3.-'research' is a lie. genetic research tells us what they eat.

  • Keep up the good work...Hunt the Japs who have no respect for this world...

  • China and USA won't accept Kyoto protocol.

  • Japan won't accept the IWC moratorium on commercial whaling.

  • Thats because Bush is a scum bag, I didn't vote for him

  • The events surrounding the Nisshin Maru this last year show how human lives are lost with these actions. Why should people die for the sake of protests?

  • Sea Shepherd's actions (which don't involve protesting) did not kill that whaler. It happened due to a fire that started long after the Sea Shepherd ships had to head back to Australia.

  • For being poachers, duh. And assholes.

  • why should whales die for the sake of 'research' that can be done without genocide? flip side of the coin. human lives, how arrogant.

  • So, they think they're above the law?

    Wow such noble protest. >_>

  • They don't protest. They enforce the law.

  • By breaking others.

  • Greenpeace should support it with an education campaing.

  • I think it should do that too.

  • Why can't people kill whales? we are part of the food chain. they are in the buttom, if they all die oh well it's natural selection, the stronger lives, the weaker dies.s

  • Good luck surviving once you've destroyed the balance and everything you depend on.

  • Iceland has a nice whaling industry, try attacking iceland ships and greenpeace will get shoot.

  • Why would Greenpeace get "shoot"? Greenpeace doesn't attack ships. And by the way, Iceland's whaling industry is not "nice" because it is completely based on slaughtering whales.

  • smukai2, actually it has already been done, more than a decade ago: two ships and the processing plants were wrecked in one night, and Iceland stayed put re. whaling for years and years. When they tried whaling again, SeaShepherd made plans to shut them down once again and when their ship was 2 weeks away Iceland stopped whaling. They knew what was coming. And BTW what does Greenpeace have to do with anything here? They're a whole different organization.

  • It's small minded people like you, smukai2, that put every human on this earth in danger of extinction. You beliefs that humans can abuse our resources at will and survive, is a testament to your own ignorance. If you had any education on the matter, you would know that the term "Natural Selection" was coined by Charles Darwin in regards to the natural progression of evolution. Decimating a species for profit is NOT natural selection...it's GREED.

  • I doubt industrialised slaughter counts.

  • I'm anti-whaling Japanese.

But do you know how many Japanese eating whale meat today there are ?

    Very very few.

Do you really know the true fact ?

You have only heard the opinion of anti-whaling people until now , haven't you ?

In this place , almost all people maintain that Japanese are cruel people by expressing the fact as an villainous matter .

You should state your thought after comprehending both opinions .

  • Even though very few people in Japan eat whale meat, the Japanese government still has hundreds of whales murdered every year. Whaling is definitely villainous, and people don't have to hate Japan to know that. The endorsement of whale-killing makes me sick.

  • Murder? Open your eyes. These people are, guess what, LIVEING. Their getting food, their collecting blubber, so we can do all the important things we need to do with that, and you in return are scareing the pants off of them with smoke bombs, and bumping their boats. YOU, my freind, make ME sick.

  • Open your eyes. It is cruel, disruptive of the marine ecosystem, and totally unnecessary. It has no economic importance to Japan and the despicable trade lives on only because of subsidization from the government. Sea Shepherd treats the whalers quite nicely considering that it doesn't kill 500 whales a year.

And if I make you sick you should either ignore me or take some Pepto Bismol.

  • I think it is dangerous to swallow this video whole.

If you do , you may have hatred towards all the Japanese.

And it is good that you go to Japan and try to realize the matter of whaling there.

Hatred toward one country only engenders a struggle which injures innocent people .

  • Criticizing the whole Japan and regarding all Japanese

as villians make the matter worse.

Actually someone kills whales in a few area in Japan.

But many people who live in Japan have never seen whale meat in their life.

Excessive anti-whaling publicity makes me indignant.

  • what makes a law enforcement group official? some places have "good samaritan" laws which make it criminal to not assist someone in peril. as far as i see it, they are enforcing laws that most people don't care about.. that doesn't mean that they don't have the authority to do so..de facto if not de jure. that would be like me saying that i can't stop person A from murdering person B because i'm not a cop.

  • sink the Japanese whalers !

  • Whale meat is very very minor edible meat in Japan.

Actually I have never eaten and seen them in my life in Japan.

I heard they do not face a crisis of the extinction.

Whales who is clever mammals are at the top of a food chain.

If we do not capture the whale at all , the number of whales will increase , and the number of other fish will decrease.

    I really disagree with whaling.

But all the people kill the other animal to live.

Greenpeace brings about hostility toward one nation

  • No matter whether no one else will enforce the law, the fact is they can't. The have no authority to enforce the law.

  • Conservation law must be enforced or else there will no more whales. Greenpeace has followed the whalers holding up signs and banners and putting themselves between whales and the harpoons, and the whalers ignore them and go on killing whales. They really need to be intervened with to make them stop.

  • You're all lucky you weren't shot, because you should have been. I don't care what your cause is, I don't care how illegal the Japanese ship's whaling was and I don't care how right you think you are - Throwing smoke grenades onto another vessel and aggressive maneuvering is criminal. But I guess you all are above the law. . .

  • Are you mad because Sea Shepherd is "violent"? If you are, you're pretty hypocritical.

  • I don't about others, but i don't care about violence if they are protecting laws. However sea shepherd is not a law enforcement group. So they shouldn't be taking such radical action when its not even their place to intervene. Call the real law keepers, UN or whatever, let them deal with it. BTW you talk about being hypocritical, wow guess what, you try to stop violence, but by doing that you create it. Go figure.

  • Whoops by you i meant sea shepherd. I got the vibe you are either part of it or are a strong supporter.

  • First of all, Sea Shepherd is only enforcing the law because no-one else is willing to. Second, I called percussionmafia a hypocrite because he wants people to die. The whalers flee when they see Sea Shepherd, and while they're fleeing the catcher ships can't transfer corpses to the factory ship. If they can't do that, they stop killing whales as long as they're being chased. That's how Sea Shepherd is effective.

  • Way to go mate!!

  • whalers, and more usually japanese industrial fishers don't respect the sea . They often fishing without any permissions. They usually fish with a great cruelty especially during shark fishing... have u ever seen It ? So great respect for these kind of actions which it should be done more often.

To conclude as it has been said before, whaling in this part of ocean is highly illegal...

    TC Lyon France

  • thanks

  • sscs stands for action and compassion., It's easy not to feel and to be against something good.If you disagree with their actions, then what do you propose? what do you stand for? can't we all share the same values?

I wish these images weren't needed, but reality shows us action is needed, though I fear it already is too late

  • fucking pathetic!

  • How is this a Law Enforcement action? It seems to me that ya'll are actually the ones breaking the law!! Especially boarding another ship like a bunch of pirates!!

  • They didn't board any whaling ship. Whaling in the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary is highly illegal, whether it's "scientific" or not.

  • Alright, it is highly illegal in the sanctuary...My question is this as you didn't answer it...how is this a Law Enforcement Action? From what I am able to see, you and your shipmates are boarding another ship illegally...basically you are pirates!!

  • I am not a pirate and I don't have any shipmates. What Sea Shepherd did was to enforce the law by shutting down illegal whaling. And for the second time, they didn't board any whaling ship.

  • I don't think so! They're more legal than those whalers

  • ... Is that the U.N. falg on the mast ?

I doubt the United Nations are to happy about having a bunch of Eco-wankers fly their flag.

  • Sea Shepherd is encouraged by insults from people like you because it means that they're making a difference.

I like you anyway because have only been misguided.

  • I'm so so so so so proud of you.

    Thank you!

  • Good work Sea Shepherd, keep it up

  • Thank You Sea Shepherd. You do what so many think. Good on You!
