I agree with you man. But no we don't have them. Several depts in the area do have the power call on their trucks. They are becoming increasingly popular around here.

Never heard the term "fire police" before, could you elaborate.

Fire police respond to calls in their POV. They provide traffic control for incident scenes and intersection control for responding apparatus. They are called fire "police" because they can be used for crowd control and can be allowed by a police officer to arrest or detain a person if needed.
