I fully accept the limitations of conventional ( i.e. scientific,double-blind testedproveable)medicine. However, I need to clarify my earlier comment.My mother received convential treatment that bought her extra time with her family (her cancer caused no pain) and believe me, we were all grateful to the NHS for that. So, to sum up - Real medicine 1, homeopathy 0.
Any comments on the double-blind test performed on the BBC Horizon programme? Kind of conclusive wouldn't you say?

I am sorry to hear to about your mother. People die everyday due to shortcomings of mainstream medicine (allopathy). I have heard many people calling it "bullshit". Your "real doctors" and "real medicine" fail everyday. Interestingly, people are comfortable if one dies due to the inherent deficiency of mainstream, But if a homeopath fails, then homeopathy is "bullshit" . And he if he succeeds, it is plecebo-effect. We need to keep in mind that every system of healing has it's own limitations.

Just because it defies the basic tenants of current chemistry and physics, it does not mean that it is invalid. It only means that we need to look beyond what we know of science.
