  • this shit used to make me trip out as a kid, what the fuck is oakey doke he used to scare me, he is some green alien looking dude while everyone else resembles an animal

  • he scares the living shit out of me still..

  • this show used to scare me so much!! D:

  • loved this show

  • It's like what I always say...this show was the bane of my childhood! And how annoying is little root!?! I mean really!? It's insane how angry this show makes me lol

  • Oh my gosh this was one of my favourites I have been trying to remember what it was called for the last year!

  • @Smilealways94 I have been trying to remember for like 4 years I am so excited to have found this!!! :)))

  • My daughter and i were talking about this the other day. She is 20 now. We were saying that it was a real shame it wasn't on TV for longer. Seemed like it had a short life. As my daughter put it 'It's so much better than the rubbish you get on Kids' TV now. It was our fave programme.

    Please make more episodes!!

  • I have searched for this sooo long xD I didn't remember the name so it was'nt easy LOL

  • Mister, you helped shape my childhood dramatically.

  • OMG!! sooo many memories!!

  • If I saw that green thing in da reals, I would run for the hills man thats one scary mofo.

  • Now call me strange, but I was listening to a compilation of old TV programme themes, and this one came up, and little bells rung, I looked it up on wikipedia and lo & behold, Oakie Doke!

It's strange how I forgot all about these characters and when watching this it's a wonder how it totally slipped my mind completely, it's all so familiar.

I think it's brilliant how smooth the animation is, I wish all the good stuff like this wasn't replaced with CGI.

  • Why were one of the mice Scottish... And why doesn't Oakie's mouth move?

  • @woahjustintime Excellent questions!! Could you aske the Director/Writer/Producer please....then let me Know too!! I just move the pesky blighters....just a tiny amount!

  • @woahjustintime Hickory the scottish one is the best. (mainly coz im scottish) but its a kids programme. they always allow variations like that.

  • @woahjustintime Maybe Oakie Doke is telepathic, like Mewtwo in the first Pokemon movie

  • Ooooh! I love this show. I just heard that little mouse sing, "We're going to bake a cake!" and it brought back all these memories!!! :O

  • oakie doke gets baked

  • The amount of dialogue I had memorised from this episode is fucked. I haven't seen it since I was 6 years old.

  • if i had cyber-flowers, i'd send them to you with a cyber-oakie-doke-cake....which i don't have either. dammit! anyway, i love this show. thanks :D

  • Remember this one! Great work making it, it must be a fun job

  • my sister loved this, remember watching with her!

  • i've been telling my mum for 3 years about this show, and how much i love it and miss it, i always said it has lettuce coming out of its ears and they never spoke. xD my bad, i was wrong, she thought i was going crazy.. o.o but i proved her wrong by STAYING UP 48 HOURS ON GOOGLE. >:] mwahaha. xD she soon regretted doubting me.(; that fo` shuure.

  • Thanks for animating this, you actually made my childhood.

  • Oh my goodness!! i remember this episode!! thankyou so much for making it :)

  • You animated the show?! AMAZING! Is the show on DVD?

  • @SCRuffeyfan

I animated this scene amongst others.About half a dozen other animators did also.I dont recall seeing it on dvd,try googleing.

  • I remember this episode. Aaaah.

  • Loved this when I was ak id

  • I loved this.<3

  • I used to love this scene as a child. It's one of the scenes that I've always remembered.

  • Oakie Doke snorts some flour

  • Love the pronunciation for "margarine."

  • How else would you pronounce it?

  • wow that so cool you made this, i watched it when i was young and only remembered it today :) awesome

  • omg where do you get theese, it's so funny xD

  • It is stop motion animation,no computers involved. The series was made by Cosgrove Hall, around the mid nineties.I think they made about 26 x 10 minute episodes.I animated on the first 13,with Paul Couvela and Sugh Pugh.

  • I have fond memories of Oakie Doke... Didn't know it was stop motion though; it's really smooth! Quite impressive.

  • @StuoVision You did animation on Oakie Doke? Awesome! Was it you who animated the classic opening sequence for the show? :)

  • @AngelicStorm1 The animation crew for the first series did the opening sequence,so yes I contributed to it.

  • @StuoVision That's awesome! It must make you feel good knowing that your animation helped bring joy to so many children, and the wonderful memories for them to look back on now. :) Im actually shocked at how many seem to remember Oakie, and watched this when it was originally on. Its one of those shows you think nobody will ever remember! lol Anyways, thanks for the great animation. xD

  • @AngelicStorm1 yeah, it does seem very popular!Out of the twenty or so clips ive got on youtube, Oakie whoops everybodies behind in terms of views! Perhaps they should make a few more new episodes.

  • Exellent, it was really fun to watch. I will have to see the others episodes. Did you use Carrara for this project?
