My daughter and i were talking about this the other day. She is 20 now. We were saying that it was a real shame it wasn't on TV for longer. Seemed like it had a short life. As my daughter put it 'It's so much better than the rubbish you get on Kids' TV now. It was our fave programme.

Now call me strange, but I was listening to a compilation of old TV programme themes, and this one came up, and little bells rung, I looked it up on wikipedia and lo & behold, Oakie Doke!

It's strange how I forgot all about these characters and when watching this it's a wonder how it totally slipped my mind completely, it's all so familiar.

I think it's brilliant how smooth the animation is, I wish all the good stuff like this wasn't replaced with CGI.

It is stop motion animation,no computers involved.The series was made by Cosgrove Hall,around the mid nineties.I think they made about 26 x 10 minute episodes.I animated on the first 13,with Paul Couvela and Sugh Pugh.
