  • What an unfairly underrated amazing band!

  • Many's the hour turning into daze spent with Tony met the guy in the 70's jamed into the 80's.

  • Eargasmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • Beyond words...this band.

  • I Luv.... I listened to it 5000 thousand times, it gets better & better.

  • Hi, Casar! Glad to give a full portion any time.

  • tony hill vocals and guitar brilliant

  • Is he long forgotten?

  • ...an avalanche of regally-supreme sound....

  • Wow!!

  • i´m very glad this song is that long, the improvisations are just great. it blows me away every time i hear it!

  • I have this album. The only thing about this song is that the ending is a little long. It's 2 chords for 6 minutes. Had it been a little shorter it would have been great :)

  • I agree. I love the first 3 minutes... but it gets quite monotonous after. Kick-ass song though :)

  • ermmm....I like that bit the best !!!! ;o)

  • So fucking awesome! My favourite song after "Death Warmed Up"

Were can I find the lyric? :S

  • @Sjunneryd I tried to "understand" lyrics and put him on lyrics.wikia, but I think that are many errors... I'm italian, so I can't understand english very well. I put other high tide lyrics, some right, some with errors. If you can help me to complete them we appreciate :)

  • @dogmaxpeppe Excellent! I got this down so far. Everyone - join in and help to complete the lyric!

Born from the carnage and cast into darkness

    Fell out of ??? duality

Fragrant of blossom and deadly the thorn

Some born from ?Soho? and some from scorn

Slowly we walked to the sound of the sunlight

Down to the valley as morning grew

Show me the words I was turning to say

When came the sting of my tasteless game?

  • @Sjunneryd

Barefoot and weary we came to May Valley

Turned to the east and beheld the view

Curious to measure the fever within

Off we went trundling to find ourselves

    Remnants of crystal reflecting pretension

Up from the shoulders of ???

No one could move there was nowhere to go

Slowly we died in the wind and snow

  • @Sjunneryd YOU'RE GREAT!!! :)

  • @dogmaxpeppe Shoulders of "what are known" i think Hill says, but I'm not sure.

  • @Sjunneryd I think that Hill says "thou thorn" and not the thorn, but I'm not sure :)

  • ..us the rest!!

  • ....me too!!

  • ...me three!!

  • Im glad i bought this album when it was released .still a favourite on my turntable!!

  • Tony Hill has released two solo albums - "Inexatctness" and "DNA, The Brain & The Universe" - he has worked with The Bevis Frond and is now in Tony Hill's Fiction - He is in his 60's and still blows everyone away with his guitar work. I'm a personal friend of Tony and the last time I saw them live (I was his roadie) was supporting MOUNTAIN at the Camden Underworld in London a couple of years ago.

  • sounds like jim morrison?

  • Makes me think of early Zappa stuff. Nice gem indeed

  • Oh yes, that special smooth voice ... à la Zappa ... Now I can make that connection. Rich, sort of olive oil,y figs and good red wine ...

  • you made my hungry

  • ...this band is the most incredible ever - their music is in another realm!

    My favourite album ever!!

    Pass the acid, someone?!!

  • Reg Hadden should be Roger Hadden I believe. But thank you very much for posting all these underground, heavy, prog, psych gems for people to discover.

  • i love high tide some live video? villon corbiere

  • love that... "WIDELY UNKNOWN" - Ha!

I think this should be taught in music college..

  • I have the first album after seeing them at Bluey's playground in Canterbury in a very small room and VERY loud! My ears are still suffering, at least that what my wife keeps telling me!!!

  • A great song from a great, but unfortunately widely unknown band. Their first two albums are both excellent and worth buying.

Too bad no live videos are available. I'd really like too see a live performance of my favorite High Tide song "Saneonymous" in good video/sound quality.

  • Great band, great music!

  • great, really great. is there any live video from high tide on youtube.

  • Tony Hill is still gigging today with "Fiction"...but the magic combination of electric violin with his guitar is missing. Come back High Tide!!

  • Aaargh! It be you again!

    Well, it be me too.

Does Warm Dust still stir your loins?

I used to like that caracking stuff.

    Still do.

  • Arr. Communicate, difficult. Cider recieve blame. Bad naughty cider. Arr. Jim lad.
