  • What love are you shaking, Debbie, you're 12?

  • BILL HICKS SAY ABOUT DEBBIE GIBSON ...

  • bill hicks only told the truth

  • 1980s fast cars fast women and cocaine

  • She looks a little bit like Britney Spears, well Britney looks like her

  • there will never be another decade like the 1980s ever again

  • debbie thats a shoe not a phone!

  • Madonna Light.

  • Que música mas linda, divertida y rítmica y que cantante tan bella no solo por fuera sino por dentro un beso y abrazo desde Colombia.

  • Wow. She can hit those high notes.

  • Oh this brings back bigtime memories. I was 15 when this came out in 1987. YES I had the BIG HAIR TOO!! Gotta Love the 80's!!

  • I would love to have seen the Jimi Hendrix /Debbie Gibson album. I bet he could shake her love right in half.

  • /watch?v=oLn9VHP5VOc

  • Bill hicks was right

  • Incredibly Gorgeous.Way better than Britney Spears and all the other crap that came out later.

  • I only became a fan of Debbie Gibson in the Nineties through buying home some of her albums from a visit I did to Singapore in 1998.This is what good bubble gum pop is not garbage like Britney Spears or Paris Hilton.

  • Thumbs up if Bill Hicks brought you here.

  • @FALLASLEEPworld

Lmao! Yes, Bill Hicks brought me here. Wow and to think that this type of soulless commercialized music dominates the top 40 these-days. This stuff has been regurgitated one too many times...

  • @FALLASLEEPworld What love are you shaking debbie ... your twelve!!!! whats her next song? Mum why am i bleeding?

  • i'm watching this vid, and... I have the feeling I'm being Rick-Rolled...

  • there she looks like britney spears in young years :-)

  • I always Love a good Pop song. The "Funky" break doesn't hold up too well, but, Hey - It's still a pretty damn good Pop song. Thanks for the upload.

  • shaaake your love

then got raped by her dad, AHAHAAAAAAA FUUUUCK YOUUUUUUUUU

  • I loved debbie gibson.

  • what happen to her?

  • I remember this from the mid 1980's. The other song I remember is Tiffany's "I Think We're Alone Now.", it seemed like Debbie Gibson and Tiffany were fighting for the no.1 spot etc.

  • What I don't understand; what the hell are people doing here when they hate the music of Debbie Gibson so much!

I think they love it but they do not dare to admit :-)

    That must be it.

  • i luv it.memories from 1988 in uk

    tj

  • I like Debbie Gibson - no matter her music is bubblegum-style.

And for the record; she IS talented!

By the way; what is she doing nowadays?!

  • She's got a camp for young actors and musicians called Camp Electric Youth. She still performs at clubs several times a year. What makes me shake my head is when I see someone diss Deborah but then turn around and praise someone like Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, or Lindsay Lohan.

  • @Beakerinnetje Beats me. All I know is that she's 40 years old, and I haven't heard anything more of her music after that.

  • ooopppsss!!! i forgot,britney has a record,bad record,he he he

  • yah u'r right beak, just to let you know,i mean Duskwalker2,she is still holding the record(youngest artist to write produced and perform in 1 single)of course britney has a lot of viewers in her music video, that is all because nternet came out late, what do you think if the youtube came out at the early 80's,do you think britney is good enough than debbie, britney is nothing, singing is the only talent that she has, about the voice, composing, plying instrument, performing, britney is nothing

  • a lot of you may not like her music, but i think she is very talented overall given that she was smart enough to write her own songs and i certainly don't think she's broke like so many others in thy industry. by the way debbie, thanks for the memories

  • she needs to crawl back into a mall

  • I wonder what all those people do here if they hate Debbie Gibson so much!

  • you can hate on her all you want but at least she wrote all her stuff!

  • that's not much of an achievment.

(first time I'm heard this singer and I want to plug my ears. I stopped watching at 1:30)

  • not much of an achievment? if i had a lady who could sing write cute songs and play piano and also was rich and famous id be in heaven GO DEBBIE!

  • Yes...deep lyrics. ;-\

  • Who the hell cares if the lyrics are deep or not?? There's basically 2 types of songs...deep lyrical songs that tell a story and those that inspire fun. This was a very fun song and still is.... If you prefer deep lyrical songs go listen to John Lennon or Bob Dylan and stop posting hateful crap here.....

  • @Bannikus27 What happened to her hair later on?

  • @Bannikus27 Bill Hicks is was and will always be da' man.

  • I didn't say that...Bill Hicks did.

  • LMAO thats the ONLY reason i youtubed her name i had no idea who she was. =D

  • que venga a chile

  • Duskwalker2; I don't think Debbie can hear you.....:-)

Yeah, allright; her music is childish but personally I like her songs. She's very talented, producing her own stuff and can dance....that counts as well!

  • Duskwalker2; Shake your pea-shelf! :-)

  • What love are you shakin'? You're 12! You got no titties, you look like John Boy, and your music sucks. Go back to the mall that spawned you.

  • lol, glad to know i'm not the only one who looked her up because of Bill Hicks

  • musica Ochentera

  • its fuckin great piss of if u dont like it

  • how bout no?

  • I bought her first album. Don't have it now.

She reminds me of Britney a bit.

  • didnt notice til now,but yes they are similar.

  • wow bill hicks was 100% right yet again!!

any1 who hasnt heard of bill hicks and HAS heard of this bith, YT wot bill had to say about her and rick astly

  • LoL thats the only reason i searched this vid is because i saw that skit...

  • ah' ah' funny. BUT wot would bill think now of music.mmmmmmm think.

    tj

  • i dont know but im sure he'd have us all in stitch's, maybe he'd finally fuckin pop and incite a nation wide riot or sumthin

  • Ha ha ha Massivecarcrash, in fact boop-size double D are not exactly mosquito-bites :-)

Anyway, catchy teeny-bopper song from our Debbie Gibson....pretty childish

  • shake your mosquito bites

  • Shake your love.....I rather shake my tits!!

  • i think that anyone who likes todays so called music is a complete fool..todays so called singers are merely 'creations' of music producers..their 'careers' are very short lived..they are completely and totally scripted so you never really know who they really are..debbie could have very well been a scripted singer too,,but she could actually sing,,unlike the jokes that we have today namely ,beyonce, rhianna, britney, jessica simpson, christina a.,,pink,etc.. see ,debbies not so bad.

  • She's still gorgeous. Better singer than Britney Spears will ever be.

  • There was some very good music made in the

80s. This was NOT some of it. lol

  • HAHAhahaha Lol Bill was right, im lying in a pool of my own vomit after watching this !!

    This is pants !!

  • mall spawn...

  • I love how almost everyone watching this video has seen Bill Hick's "Sane Man". =D

  • ha! It looks like Bill's message has finally come through.

  • Cut her in half with a dick like a chain saw.

  • right, coz she's got no tits!

  • ah ah. now pro britney spears. now she gets my vote not Debs.

    tj

  • brings back memories of days past

  • Is Debbie Gibson a descendant of Christ? See my channel for details!

  • Are there really that many people out there who listen to Bill Hicks? All just dropping quotes in on little Debbie Gibson.. I love it!

"I'd love to see a Jimi Hendrix/Debbie Gibson video.. Yeah, I'll bet he could shake her love right in half.."

  • Shake your nuts!

  • "What love are you shaking, Debbie? You're twelve. You've got no titties... you look like Johnboy and your music SUCKS. Go back to the mall that spawned you."

    =)

  • LMAO! awesome

  • i think before women should be allowed to "shake their love" they should have titties.

  • When I hear Tiffany I can't remember any songs of hers. When I hear Debbie Gibson, her music is burned in my brain. Loved the outfits to.

  • Debbie was sooo cute back then, but she didn't age well!

  • Debbie Gibson = MILF

    Tiffany = horse

  • Sex,drugs and Rock n Roll, yea lol

  • like history repeats it self

    Tiffany>Christina Aguilera>?

    Debbie Gibson>Britney Spears>?

  • check out the locust or converge

  • @radicaldreamer01 Warsawwasraw too

  • If Britney Spears' prime time was in the 80s, this is what she'd sound like. Hence, she'd be more likable.

  • Only women with boobs should be able to say "shake your love". Go back to the mall which spawned you.

  • Eh...

    Not liken it.

  • I remember this song back in late 1987 cause i was a young teen, Debbie Gibson and Tiffany wow! i could never choose between the two cause i love them both.

  • She looks just like Britney in this video, but with worse hair, clothes, and cheesier music! Debbie is still great though!

  • Debbie's the best Idol.

  • Hahahaha thank you nativeops, you legend. I was just listening to Sane Man and I was about to leave that exact comment.. Beat me to it, huh? Bill Hicks: a true American Hero.

  • bill hicks: "shake your love? what love are you shaking, you're 12."

  • she means by shake your love "i cant get over you"

  • Is it just me or is Debbie talking about "protein shakes" in this song?

  • what she means by "shake your love"

she is saying to the guy of interest- "i cant get over you"

  • I love this song! Thanks to Theresa for giving me the cd many years ago. It is great!!

  • Corporate Bullshit.

  • Then why are you here wasting your time? GO

    and play Rammstein.

  • Kiddy music, but nice.....

  • This is better than some of the guff out now!

  • Some? This is better than most, if not nearly all, of today's music.

  • debbie gibson and tiffany ruled in the 80s

  • don't forget jody watley and madonna

  • 10th Grade in the 80's was sooooo fun with this song!

  • Debbie is like the Britney Spears of the 80's...didn't think of that..

  • Except for the whole, you know, being slutty part.

  • No redhot168, Debbie Gibson and Britney Spears may be both pop princesses but Debbie Gibson is no Britney Spears and Britney Spears is no Debbie Gibson.

  • debbie is more talented- wrote all her songs. also produced, played most of the instruments, and recorded them in her own home recording studio

  • "Shake your love ??? Debbie your about 12 here ?". Bill Hicks

  • Haha! "Whose love are you shaking?" :D

  • Your 12 years old. You ain't got no titties. hahahaha. I love Bill Hicks

  • ah ah ah'BILL HICKS .i like Debs.NOT Rik astley.

    tj

  • wow if i was famous and around in 87 i would get with her

    she is hot!

  • Whelp, I agree that Debbie was the first and the origional back in the day, I liked Debbie. I just never realized how similar Debbie and Britney's themes are. Tiffany was good too. But I was so young then to fully understand their work in 1987.

  • didnt know how much she looks like britney spears, but not crazy like her though....

  • cowbells4u,

Please don't mention that no-talent whore Spears in the same sentence as Ms. Gibson.

    Debbie has talent.

  • i was 13 too in 1987 when she was in. I used to watch VH1 after school, and see her videos. Yep, back when VH1 played videos24/7 and reality show didn't exist...(VH1) VIDEO HITS ONE!!!!

  • Debbie blows away Brittany. Was much prettier and mor talented. An excellent song writer as well.

  • And Debbie was never a ho. She also wore underwear and never shaved her head. ;)

  • I would kill to have been much older than I was in 1987.

  • Well I was 13 in 1987 and i remember this song very well. I was never into her music but I do remember when she was around. I think at that time I used to prefer songs like 'Sonic Boom Boy' by Westworld, 'Bridge to your heart' by Wax and Cry Wolf by Aha. The songs always seemed much easier to listen to than music nowadays. I'm glad I'm old enough to remember those days.

  • brittney spears looks nothing like Deborah. Open your eyes! Deborah is her own person, she shouldn't be compared to anyone.

  • Britney really does look like Debbie at the same age (They're about 10 years apart). Never realized until now. But Deborah wrote her own songs.

  • i listenened to this when it come out now at 34 i still love it makes me remember when i was young

  • SHAKE DEBs BUTT !!! HAHAHAHA

  • It's really interesting how much Brittany Spears looks like Debbie Gibson. No joke check out her face.

  • yeh but Debs is Better.

    tj

  • I agree, I was in grade 7 when she came out with Shake Your Love. I had the biggest crush on her. Gotta say though she still looks fabulous today. Sage

  • Me i was old 27.

    tj

  • please who is Bill Hicks anybody .its drivn me Mad

    tj

  • Bill Hicks was a comedian. The late Sam Kinison and Howard Stern are funny. Hicks wasn't.

  • Ah now, Hicks was pretty great!!

  • thanks but whats the conection with DEBBIE??

    tj

  • He used to put her down all the time.

  • HOW RIGHT!!

well he can walk the Plank.ill google him.

    cheers another mystery solved.

    tj

  • cheers found him on abut her well he can fxxxxxx off.ah'

    cheers tj

  • I've reached the point in my life where I could care less what other people say or think. I like Deborah's music and that's that. I hated that Seattle grunge crap. It was really bad, bland music and all of those bands sounded the same.

  • If you like this music, please do humanity a favor by putting a shotgun in your mouth and promptly pull the trigger.

  • I do love this music as it's my generation, but your comment is still fekkin' hilarious!!

  • You gotta be joking me. This song is a as deep as a hole that's yet to be dug and as meaningful as a wart on the bottom of my foot. I listen to music with heart, I listen to music with meaning, I listen to music that is thought provoking.

What could a 17 year old girl possible know of any of these things?

Taste? Go back to the Mall you were spawned from.

  • we have shopping centres ere in england not malls u arsehole.

  • Thanks for proving my point Debbie.

  • Hey, Mellow.....calm down dude/maam....this is pure 80's fluff. You can't expect to find meaning or thoughts provoked from this junk but at least it's happy.

  • Let's wait 20 years when younger generations ask why you want to hear trivial 2000s hip-hop.

These songs are like time-capsules of memories which bring a rush of memories, people once forgot, that makes people see life from a hindsight point of view of how times, people, and culture REALLY do change.

  • Let me guess you prefer the pessimistic, whiny alternative, grunge music THAN any synthizer music.

I'm sorry but music is simply for entertainment value and having a fun, optimistic time when life already can be crappy at times. There's nothing wrong about being happy for no reason, I mean why waste the day on loathing on life's problems?

You must be really upset about something by CONSTANTLY whining and complaining like a little kid for a stupid trivial issue about musical taste.

  • LOL... That desperate to get some you have to resort to going online? LOL

Real mature, you can't even debate your position without acting like a little brat trapped in a conversational corner.

  • Looking at your favorite videos it seems like you are one LONELY man resorting to those jackoff videos of girls shaking it. No wonder you are so "frustrated". ROFL

  • Haha, Bill Hicks right there

  • lol. I thought more people would get it.

I don't expect anyone who likes this music to know what's really going on.

  • Anyone that likes this kind of music is truely stunted..... (LOL).. Its funny in a sad kind of way.. If it were not for this cack then we might have all been spared the mess of today.. just my view of the day I guess..

  • please who the hell is bill hicks.

    tj

  • my girl same taste in songs. and country too.

    tj

  • This was the actual leadoff single for Atlantic 81780 "Out of the Blue," which the success of "Only in My Dreams" made possible; remember, Gibson had no album contract until July 1987. Still a most-requested at her shows across the lower 48, too, along with pieces from her musical-theatre roles.

  • Haha I'm doing a show with her in Thousand Oaks, she's playing Anna in The King and I

  • Classic tune!

  • DEB' ROKS

    TJ

  • Bill Hicks
