Perhaps the most inspiring images are those of US tanks driving and soldiers marching through Paris after they conquered it. Citizens were rejoicing, church bells everywhere were ringing. Many citizens yelling "THANK YOU!, THANK YOU!!" (Some women even brought home made cookies to our troops). The Nazis were retreating, Allied Victory was within sight. We had given them back their country, their land, their homes. Paris was in ruins, but the citizens were still greatfull and vowed to rebuild!

@TheBelva85 . And, italy did fag out of ww1. Italy's experience in World War One was disastrous and ended with the insult of her 'reward' at the Versailles Settlement in 1919. What Italy did was wait and see how the war progressed. On April 26th 1915, she came into the war on the side of the Triple Entente – Britain, France and Russia.

She actually put up a good fight unlike ww2 where she basically sucked. And assuming that by "fagging out" , you mean "joining wars late" , what should you say about the USA entering ww1 in 1917?
