  • very nicely explained and executed.

  • For trash talkers, as always, the bane of true net knowledge, in sports & sports science, "you" try taking that many punches, without moving much, even if they were smaller guys. But, sure you'll know it all, 'cause there's a world of sorcery & knowledge, in mommy's basement...Cage potatoes...PRECISE knowledge, Mr. Desmoulin. I love where you're helping to take the science.

  • Now, TJIS I like. Exact, on all aspects of differences bewteen a mobile & somewhat fluid, segmented body, as opposed to...Most of the cage potatoes, who disrespect fighters, on here, while in mommy's basement, should be aware of things N this vid., among many other things, including what a fighter goes through, training. This was a PERFECT display of variables, far better than in the limited fight science books.seminars. We both I know you got this exactly right, all accounts.

  • lol he spat on all of them

i tried this before, but no one really explained it, so I too spat my friends in the face :D but it works so thanks (and thanks Kadochnikov)

  • See my Systema and MMA, Submission, and Kali videos at ww MMA4SelfDefense com

  • I've fought and trained MMA with many of the best fighters in the world, and I incorporate Systema concepts and techniques for something like 13 yrs now for a reason and I have videos on the subject, some on how to use Systema in MMA

  • I would love to learn how to take a punch. I'm pretty pain tolerant, but thankfully have never had to fight.

I know how to deliver a punch since I have received boxing training.

  • Sigh, there always has to be some mach internet toughguy, that calls bullshit on something and who always feels he can whip someones ass.Yes,you're pretty original kevinchris.

  • Even though they didn't punch that hard it's still very interesting I wish there was a systema school where I live I would so do it. Good stuff also can't wait to see you again in Deadliest warrior (One of my favorite shows as it never gets old).

  • Thanks for sharing this! Having myself done systema for 9 months, being able to move, breathe, relax my muscles while being able to take and give punches....systema has been one of the best martial arts I've been introduced too. I've had other call it crap, until I let them take a swing at my stomach, back, or chest. As well, the level of contact they have gives a great lesson in bio-mechanics. Thanks for uploading this

  • punch taking has important real life applications:

two days ago, i was biking home after a doctor's appointment; out of nowhere, some guy punched me in the face (full force) cuz he didn't like that i biked too close to him. i didn't see it coming; systema training kicked in and i just remembered that i breathed and turned my face with the punch. ended up with nothing except a small bruise.

  • check this out youtube.com/watch?v=F0Pv5jUcCwg

  • @LilBallerFlip sweet... old guy too!

  • continued, he also had iron body, you could hit him in the neck, stomach, anywhere and he wouldnt feel it. furthermore, he taught us techniques for how to kill instantly, go for the throat, attack the eyes and never punch with a normal fist but rather use something known as the phoenix eye. the principles of that are are very similar to those of systema, except systema demystifies these concepts of chi, and presents them as good posture, structure, body mechanics and breathing.

  • Well alright then. I guess the only thing left for me to do is to find an "expert" at systema and ask if I can punch them in the stomach.

You got any other videos of different martial arts?

  • All argueing aside, I have a serious request. I think this block or whatever it is is bogus, but I've been wrong before. So why don't you prove to me and anyone else that calls bullshido by letting a very good boxer hit you in the stomach really hard. If you can eat that punch, then I guess there's nothing else to argue.

  • @kevinchris As explained earlier I am not an expert Systema practitioner... I asked for 100% from the people in that gym, I can only assume that's what I got. However, I hit Maxim Franz as hard as I could on Green Beret vs Spetsnaz on Deadliest Warrior. (I'm 6'4", 240lbs). I was so impressed I started training. You can watch the footage on Spike.com for yourself. Besides the point is to be confident in skills enough to focus on attack not defense not just stand and take it.

  • @kevinchris

You have to remind that it's not an ultimate technique to avoid any pain in a fight. The goal of this is to minimize the impact of a hit, but moreover teach your body how to move when an attack comes in. It will learn you how to dodge a strike very closely, leading to opponent to make i'm believe just a few seconds that he made his hit, and in those few seconds you can do anything: arm/ leg lock, punches, takedown...

  • By the way Geoff, you know why we don't talk much?

YOU DON'T COMMIT! *still waiting on Max to make a gay joke*

  • People saying Systema doesn't work in a real fight need to get out more. Its not all about MMA.

I've professionally wrestled in some indy promotions. While Professional Wrestling is scripted, part of the training process is learning how to deal damage while taking the least amount of it yourself, and I've used some professional wrestling tactics to win actual fights.

Same with Systema, Krav Maga, or any other style.

So I'll have to call bullshit on your call of bullshit.

    Systema is legit.

  • This sucked. Systema is shitty for real life fighting. I wish I could fight a "systema" guy in an MMA fight. It would be one of my easier ones.

  • @kevinchris MMA does not equal street fight! I would pay money to see you fight Maxim Franz. Am I an expert Systema practitioner? No. Am I an expert at analyzing such arts... you bet AND I'm telling you are wrong.

  • @UofCal Your just like everyone else; you are "an expert" right? What are your qualifications? How much REAL fighting have you actually done. I bet very little. You only know about theory and not reality. Fight for REAL for a couple years and then your opinion will be vallid.

Don't talk about it, be about it.

  • @UofCal MMA is not a street fight. true. But that doesn't mean that if a skilled MMA fighter used his MMA skills in a street fight he wouldn't win. MMA fighters are far superior to any "street fighter" in all aspects. They are mentally tougher, much more technical, and in better shape. Why do you think a street fighter would win in a street fight?

  • @kevinchris It's common for people like you to not understand something like this. You have a biased view because you've never tried systema and can't grasp the concept. I will admit that the punches shown in this video were rather weak, but try it yourself if you really think it's nonsense, or are you afraid that this maybe real and you'll be embarrassed for your assumptions, I think we all know what you'll do. It appears that words are your only capabilities, how pitiful.

  • @kevinchris

why don't you go where there is classes in systema, and watch them practice with MMA?

shitty for real life fighting? have you seen a systema practicer in a real fight? obviously not. it WOULD be one of your easier fights. but easier for him. you MMA people are way too tense and sloppy. you get tired and out of breath. us in systema, learn how to relax. calm down. breathe. watch. and get it done quickly.

maybe observe a few classes before jumping to the assumptions.

  • @kevinchris LMAO! you have never had a real fight that is sport you do!

  • Nice

  • Very clearly explained, thanks!

  • Sweet video Geoff! I currently take systema as well for about a year now. Only 15 too, good to start at a young age. Cant w8 to see season 3!

  • @SniperKingz Cool, good for you! Work hard!

  • @SniperKingz Kid I would talk shit to you but your only 15 so you get a pass cause your still impressionable and niave to the ways of real life fighting. If you want to be good at fighting you need to stop systema immediately!! it's totall bullshit. Im not just talking shit either. But If you're doing it cause you think it's fun or you make new friends that way or it's just a fun hobby, then more power to you!

  • @kevinchris Really? I'm impressionable? Over my years I did kickboxing for 4 years, Krav Maga for 3 and have observed Sambo. This art surpasses any of them so far. Have you even tried Systema before? Because most people have not and when they do they get the shit kicked out of them.

  • @SniperKingz Didn't you say you were only 15. So you've been training since you were 7 or something. Alright, im not gonna argue with you kid. Have a good one.

  • @kevinchris I did kickboxing while I did Krav. I started when I was 10, stopped when I was 14 and I just turned 16

  • @SniperKingz Well since you're 16 you probably know everything about fighting right? good luck in life kid.

  • thats so cool geoff, i just have a few questions: -

    1) does systema work when someone attacks you full power? have u tried attacking your instructor properly, not a slow relaxed attack that is predictable?

    2) why dont we see systema fighters in the UFC, if taking down someone is so easy, or if heavy punches are so powerful?

    3) is there going to be a deadliest warrior season 3 and if so good luck with that!

  • @israelifaggot all good Q's. 1) That is what its designed for yes. Don't want to hurt people in practice BUT need to train for it. 2) because street fighting is very different from UFC. Although many UFC fighters could hold there own in a street fight... almost every one of them goes down if poked in the eye, hit in the groin or other vital area as would anyone. You also don't see Krav Maga practitioners in the UFC either... does that mean its not worth learning? No. 3) Yes, and thanks!

  • @UofCal, thanks geoff, best of luck.

  • @israelifaggot 1) hell no!! im only 135lb. and if I would have hit that dude in the stomach he would have been hurting way worse. Those dudes barely hit him and, in addition, they punced incorrectly. If you want to know how to hit and take hits correctly, learn boxing. 2) cause systema doesn't work! MMA is real, not scripted. In MMA, fighters use the most effective moves cause they work. If systema worked, real fighters would use it in real fights. In a prize fight, you fight for your life!

  • @kevinchris, thanks, if i took upboxing, whats the chance i am going to end up witha flat nose, i really dont want to mess up my face.

  • @israelifaggot Good question. The truth is that you can still get good at boxing, get into amazing shape, and learn how do defend your self incredibly well wihout ever having to box "for real" and get a broken nose. I know people who hardly ever spar, but they know how to fight very well because of the boxing training. But as you get better you probably will want to spar which will make you tougher and way better at fighting than you ever thought you could be. Believe dude, try it out!!

  • @kevinchris, thanks for the info, i only want to take up boxing to improve my distance and timing. i still believe sports martial arts are inferior to traditional martial artst. for example boxing is very one dimensional. i have trained and sparred with kyokushin, kickboxers, bjj guys and wrestler and the only person i have met who could kill me in 5 seconds is an old kung fu teacher i had. he could lightly put his hand on your chest and send some sort of shock wave into the body.

  • @israelifaggot haha. Well ok then. Good luck with that.

  • @kevinchris, btw. what do u train in?

  • @israelifaggot I'm 23. I wrestled in high school and still wrestle. I've done BJJ for about 6 years and I am a purple belt. My record is roughly 60 - 12 in BJJ and submission fighting matches. I have boxed and done muay thai for about 4 years. My MMA record is 5 - 0 and I have a draw in muay thai. I like to think that I am a very well rounded fighter that trains in all affective fighting styles. That being said, I would love to find time to train in judo and sambo.

  • @kevinchris, thats awesome, no offence but i still believe there is a clear differentiation between sporting and killing martial arts.

  • @israelifaggot Im not offended at. Most people agree with you. Most people don't understand real life fighting. Until you fight for real, you will never understand what works and why it works, and what doesn't work. Since most people will never train and fight for real, there will always be martial arts that are bogus, such as this one. Im not offended. Actually im happy that most people think that these bullshido styles work, that way I can beat up almost anyone i meet lol.

  • @kevinchris, mate, i have been in real fights, the question is have you?. grappling is not going to do you any good when you are up against 3 people at once on the street, you can't lie on top of 3 of them at once. when 3 people engage with you you have to attack viciously and without mercy to take each one down as fast as possible, thats why you use neck strikes, pressure point attacks, moves to break limbs, muscle ripping, eye gouges. continued
