can anyone tell me what was the aco's rational for the gt1 vs. prototype discrepancies?

@LPcustom76 - It wasn't the ACO's fault, the BPR GT1 cars of the time and the WSC prototype cars of the time were from separate series (no LMS back then) and the two rules packages resulted in car types of a similar pace.
