  • @powerman2g Maybe it's just me, but the old school hip hop had such a FAT and FULL bass sound and seemed musically superior to what we have today. Don't get me wrong, I have love for the newest hip hop, but the classics just bump so well through my speakers.

  • @lemonlimeduo Arthur was the man behind Bam. He helped program the 808s and even wrote an alternate keyboard part for Planet Rock, which eventually became the melody for Play at Your Own Risk by Planet Patrol.

    There's a whole section in the book Last Night a DJ Saved My Life (Bill Brewster and Frank Broughton) if you wanna read more about it.
