cat power remade this song... they did alright but really its just a matador gag. I'm sure matador has a lot of "bands getting to know each other cause we're on the same label parties" just sayin :)
@Kidijs To each is own.. but You can always go back and stick to "Cut Your Hair" And just not listen to anything thing else by Pavement.. Sounds safe for you right?
@jesuscat29 well i like the song now, and i didn't start off with "cut your hair", but brighten the corners (and the first song i really liked from that album was, curiously enough, blue hawaiian, not stereo or shady lane. i know what you mean, though. also, see my reply to @peruparaguay
@lowethecookster You sir have not listened to the right weezer songs. listen to the albums pinkerton and the blue album, not the crappy sellout mainstream homosexuals.
@lowethecookster You really need to revisit pinkerton then. I am a huge fan of both weezer and pavement, but pinkerton offers the most solid delivery of the feelings both bands base their music off of.
Terror Twilight songs were actually great live, I wasn't a huge fan of that album either, until I saw that tour. Fortunately some of the last show I ever saw Pavement play in Seattle made it onto the the dvd. And although I never thought it would happen, in two days I will see them again, can't wait.
Absolutely love this song. But overall, I'd have to say my least favorite of their albums. I'd go.. Terror Twilight, Crooked Rain, Slanted and Enchanted, Brighten the Corners, then this one.

I love how snobby you internet people are. Pavement fans deserve to turn their nose up, no other bands really compare.

Everyone says its a bong after "castration fear" but it sounds like running water to me.
Also every album Pavement did was better than Pinkerton, not that that album isnt great as well.

@PeruParaguay my apologies, now I find it really wacky in a cool sort of way. Wowee was quite hard to get into.

@Kidijs I completely agree. It takes like 3-8 listens to really appreciate a lot of the songs on Wowee.
