  • cat power remade this song... they did alright but really its just a matador gag. I'm sure matador has a lot of "bands getting to know each other cause we're on the same label parties" just sayin :)

  • I love how snobby you internet people are. Pavement fans deserve to turn their nose up, no other bands really compare.

  • Everyone says its a bong after "castration fear" but it sounds like running water to me.

Also every album Pavement did was better than Pinkerton, not that that album isnt great as well.

  • Pinkerton > Anything by Pavement

  • @fat8622 Slanted and Enchanted, Crooked Rain, Wowee Zowee > Anything by Weezer.

    Opinions are fun!

  • Fucking brilliant

  • I find this one of their worst songs, ever :/

  • @Kidijs Fuck you.

  • @PeruParaguay my apologies, now I find it really wacky in a cool sort of way. Wowee was quite hard to get into.

  • @Kidijs I completely agree. It takes like 3-8 listens to really appreciate a lot of the songs on Wowee.

  • @Kidijs To each is own.. but You can always go back and stick to "Cut Your Hair" And just not listen to anything thing else by Pavement.. Sounds safe for you right?

  • @jesuscat29 well i like the song now, and i didn't start off with "cut your hair", but brighten the corners (and the first song i really liked from that album was, curiously enough, blue hawaiian, not stereo or shady lane. i know what you mean, though. also, see my reply to @peruparaguay

  • But did you hear about Blue Zoltan getting fired?

  • I find it hard to believe that anybody can hate on this beautiful song... Pavement at it's best... Man I miss this band...

  • I say, this album is one of the best thing you can listen in a car...

    ...equal with CCR Bayou Country

  • weezer is my fav band but i still think pavements better

  • We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year!

  • @Solace2 HA I GET IT

  • @jmplays44 No.

  • the day will come: U grow up, U understand

  • when i first heard this song i was 12 i thought 'there is no castration fear' was the coolest thing i had ever heard in the entire world

  • i don't really like this album.

wich is ok. everybody has their own taste.

BUT on top of that i don't really like this record, it also smells incredibly like cheese. :(

  • weezer is like pavement and the replacements but with no talent

  • @lowethecookster You sir have not listened to the right weezer songs. listen to the albums pinkerton and the blue album, not the crappy sellout mainstream homosexuals.

  • @DemonicMuffinMan well first of all i am a women and second i have listened to all of weezers albums and i believe that they have nothing on pavement

  • @lowethecookster You really need to revisit pinkerton then. I am a huge fan of both weezer and pavement, but pinkerton offers the most solid delivery of the feelings both bands base their music off of.

  • @216trixie Totally right man; The Replacements are like Pavement without talent ??!! ...

  • @Pornycionado The replacements have lots of talent man not as much as pavement but they still have a lot of it

  • @216trixie fuck the replacements PAVEMENT RULES!!!!!

  • @josermama

hey the replacements are also great

  • it blows all our tits singly at the same time - cos it is beautiful,n none of us will ever be able to sign or write like this in our zany lives

  • zany town, classic

  • This song lets all the cruelty of the world crumble, which is heartbreakingly comforting.

  • pavement will have influence on many for many years to come,

  • oh yah! this song is foshizzle!!

  • wowee zowee underated

  • @paraxicosis Underrated and their best :D

  • I think terror twilight was by far their least impressive work.

For me, the first 4 albums are almost all perfect, though Wowee may be my favorite.

  • @sushilll111 .

Wowee Zowee is also my favourite album.

Altough, I think Terror Twillight is excellent too.

  • Yeah Ive come around to Terror Twilight now. I love it, its just very different.

  • Terror Twilight songs were actually great live, I wasn't a huge fan of that album either, until I saw that tour. Fortunately some of the last show I ever saw Pavement play in Seattle made it onto the the dvd. And although I never thought it would happen, in two days I will see them again, can't wait.

  • Absolutely love this song. But overall, I'd have to say my least favorite of their albums. I'd go.. Terror Twilight, Crooked Rain, Slanted and Enchanted, Brighten the Corners, then this one.

  • ive been listening to this band since 1990 S&E, Wowee Zowee, the the rest are ok

  • terror twilight is your most fave? wow.

  • this song breaks my heart in a million pieces every time I hear it and I can't explain why.

  • *Check that expiration date, man. It's later than you think! xD

  • Absolutely the best Pavement's song. I love it

  • Lovely song for a great group

  • Wowee Zowee is their best record by far.

  • Sounds kinda like Suede

  • Noone will dance with us in this zany town...(!)

  • There is no castration fear?

  • If I ever get married, this song will play at my wedding.

  • yeah!

  • No fuck Coldplay.

  • @Blackwaterdesigns screw you.

  • @guyguitare yeah you need to play some coldplay for the ladies in the house!

  • @guyguitare Ewwwww Coldplay....jesus.

  • That's impossible. This song is perfect.

  • that's why I love it

  • if you love it so much why dont you marry it? i am engaged to it though

  • "We Dance" and "Spit On A Stranger" have some kind of akward triangle relationship atm...

    It's cool!

  • i like to take it up the ass from brinx job

  • one of the greaset songs ever. and incredibly sad.

  • Great Song
