no it's an ATC phone number so nothing special here. This was just to test the phone call. This number was free, that's the only reason I dialed it !

at that time you had to buy some kind of special cable to be able to make calls with the phone cause it was developed for iPod Touch software. No microphone message was on mine too !

by the time the video was made yes it had to.

now Fring is available right from the App Store and you do not need to jailbreak to get VOIP on an iPhone or iPod Touch.

peachy how where you able to get volume out?

mine is microphone is working but audio out is not.

i did not touch anything but the xml file for my own SIP account, so if you don't get any sound out, you may want to re-install the app from scratches !

What version of the firmware are you using? I thought this only worked on the touch?

i'm on FW 114 with Sip VOIP 12.

It works great except for the microphone that is not detected!
