hey, not everyone covers their face but some choose to though its not mandatory. In Islam however God commands a woman to cover herself and dress modestly. The reason for this is because Islam rejects objectifying women and reducing them to how they look, rather, women should be judged for what they think, and what they achieved. Islam refuses to have women vulnerable to their sexuality, so their cover it and only display it when relevant, ie with their husbands and family. hope that helps :)
