@tajwarjan I cannot address your specific issues without an asssessment. However, I would recommend you put more time into technique and swimming easy...the speed with come..but it takes time.
hi coach!.....your videos have really helped to VASTLY improve both my efficiency and speed in swimming.I just want to thank you for that ,as through the implementation of your advice , i have literally watched my freestyle improve within days!
[2].. My catch is definitely improved after following your advices. I'm focusing a great deal on streamlining, extension and body position to reduce drag and increase efficiency...but I need to work on my kick so that I save my energy. I'm a 6-beat kicker and I wonder if I should go down to 2-beat kick when swimming over longer distances. Have you got any tips on this? I'm moving back to the Caribbean for 6 months and hope to get lots of open water miles on my log...but they should be swum right
Thanks for your comments. Yes, 2 beat is a good choice for distance swimming. All the best. However, some swimmers are quite effective and efficient with the 6...it's really independent, but 2 beat is good for most.
[1] Hey Coach. Thanks again for your videos. I started with triathlon this past summer. These are actually my first "real" swimming lessons.
I'm 35 cuban-norwegian with background in flat water kayaking (at junior level, about 20 years ago). We swam as alternative training during those days but without any technique coaching and developed some "bad" habits that I'm trying very hard to amend now. I know it takes time and practice to adjust to the "correct" technique so I'm working on my patience
Coach Evans, I am big fun of your videos. From total scratch (I never been a sportsman), in 7 months I prepared myself and finished my first TRI-Sprint (I was 11th (26 participants in my group age 45-49). It was 2009 Canadian Championship in Kelowna BC.Thank to you.............

Thanks again coach!
Just wondered if you knew and could share a drill to learn/practice the 2-beat kick.

Coach, can you make a video of Y-line swim?

There are other videos on this Channel that show the Y or V line with Karlyn Pipes-Neilsen. Or you can order her videos at Aquatics Edge.

Of course, but this is a stroke more towards distance and open water.
