  • More or less transformed the sound into a different sound pattern etc, but as long as your target can't hear where the shot came from then you're good.

  • Without silencer it sounds like thunder

  • ive always wondered, when it has a suppresser attached, does it have more recoil because theere is no muzzle break?

  • I love all the comments from the people who dont actually own a SILENCER! lolol Nice can man!

  • blue grass armory very nice

  • If you complain about what its called it probably means your really fucking jealous of everyone else who has one because you dont. And if you actually owned one you would realize that people call them many things.

  • silencer vs. suppressor...... does it REALLY matter?

  • its noticeably softer in sound. not much can suppress a cannon :P

  • suppressing a .50 BMG is like the most male thing anyone could ever do!

  • @D4ly1775 Well it is a .50, no matter what you do its still gonna be loud. Its still alot quieter than normal though.

  • Good combo. Some people ask "why are you using a suppressor if you're not using subsonic ammo?" Shoot a .50....then ask that. The muzzle blast and concussion is like a grenade going off in front of you. Makes for more enjoyable shooting and suppressors can increase accuracy. And no...they aren't called silencers. They ARE suppressors. Ask the companies that make them:) Interesting thing is most of you already own one...what do you think a car muffler is? Does exact same thing. Idea came from it

  • @FallonFiles They ARE also called Silencers, ask AAC, Silencerco, Silencertalk, Silencer Research, BATFE and Hiram Maxim the inventor.

  • @jtknno yup, the original patent used the term "silencer." people get way too hung up on this debate.

  • @kb3glo "... people get way too hung up on this debate."

Super agree! Get over it people.

  • @jtknno Yeah people do call them "silencers" Just like people call Guns "Gats" "Heaters" "Burners". It's slang.

  • @jtknno *clap* bravo sir, bravo!

  • @jtknno the terms are pretty much used interchangeably when talking about the product. by design, they are suppressors, the quietest you can get )i think) is a ruger .22 with an internal suppressor. bedsides, "silencer" sounds better. its good for advertising, and its not false cause the BATFE uses both terms anyway.

  • @copperjarhead You don't have to convince me, I've been making Form 1 can's for over 20 years. I know what there called.

  • @jtknno thats great, but i cant tell behind a username what you do.

  • @copperjarhead how about a video he's uploaded? like the one you're watching...

  • @Konstiin that's fine. i still would not know he made it or makes them. for all i know he just bought a Can for the gun and posted a video of it.

  • @jtknno is atf not batfe

  • @theschenkenator Wrong! It is BATFE ( Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives)

  • @FallonFiles lol do you call your muffler a silencer, and suppressor, or a muffler?

  • @FallonFiles i dont think it matters what they're called.... i mean really? regardless, they have a purpose, and that is to suppress and silence sound ha

  • u could definitely kill something with that

  • @pcfdvd1 You could definitely kill something with a .22.

  • M95 or M99?

  • @The30calboy M99

  • @jtknno How does it perform?

  • 0:04 now that's a huge ass muzzle...

  • what a cannon-rifle

  • I'm 15. Not a mw2 fanboy. I just wanna know how people know so much aboutguns.. And just by looking at them..I don't get it.. Lol

  • @xx99strrxx Research. Experience. The military. Firearms are like every other passion, you learn on an exponential scale. The more you know, the more you know you don't know about, and so then you wanna learn some more.

  • @PaleHorseWC2 And knowing is half the battle...

  • @AnnoyingFlamingo actually maxim called and patented them as silencers, now get out from wikipedia and back to mw2 with your superior weapon knowledge

  • I thought there suppose to be quiet WTH?

  • one word: BADASS!

  • Hah. I'd like to see that thing fired with a 1 foot chopped barrel and no compensator! Okay, that makes for a ruined gun, but it would definitely be loud enough. Seriously though, no hearing protection with that silencer? Was it actually measured?

  • Saying that a silencer doesn't work based on a video is like seeing a photograph of the sun and concluding that the sun isn't very bright.

  • @chrisapero listen With:psssiooowww lol then Without:PSSSIOOOWWW

  • ...a silencer is to reduce muzzle flash , reduced recoil , and all around less sound.....the silencer was invented for seal teams back in vietnam for taking out guard dogs the original name for the silencer is the hush puppy ...look it up :)

  • @doobicus420 No, the suppresser was invented by Hiram Maxim in 1900.

  • @chrisapero Its not different sound, it really makes a difference, you could be death if you shot it without a suppressor, its actually called a suppressor, not a silencer, cause its almost impossible to silence a gun, thats why all suppressor are sold with a lable of how much noise it reduces

  • I love being American, because even though we have to let the Fed's count our pudic hairs in order to own these type's of weapon platforms we can indeed own them and shoot them responsibly freely. God bless AMERICA !

  • @jtknno true but is it really safe to use without hearing protection. A sound suppressor is not gonna cut 50db from those shattering 170db+ (even 120db is pretty ridiculous) Though I'll take a suppressor on any day when shooting 50bmg.

  • Haha this is neat. And yeah the second shot is definitely louder. But the only way you can really tell on a video is listening for the crack vs the huge boom and the echo afterwards.... It's hard to tell on video since both shots would cause the db to peak on the audio track. Might hear a better difference on video by putting the mic a lot further away so it doesn't overload the mic on both shots. :)

  • Nice work!!!!! Freaking Sweet...I won't even stand next to a 50 anymore..LOL

  • whats the point? was that subsonic ammo?

  • @efishe22292 No, not subsonic ammo

The point is I can shoot a 50 bmg with NO hearing protection and NO concussion.

  • @jtknno You still should use hearing protection when using a silencer. Believe it or not you can cause damage to your hearing.

  • @jtknno it's not really silenced though is it? more like suppressed...

  • @alxndrHD arcoding to the batf, the are called silencers

  • @jtknno is there a such thing as 50 subsonic ammo

  • @52Capsfan8 yes

  • @52Capsfan8 Yes indeed, apparently they can be suprisingly quiet for a 50BMG

  • @52Capsfan8 Any bullet can be made sub-sonic with handloading.

  • @efishe22292

If it was subsonic ammo then you would hear far less.

  • @efishe22292 they dont make subsonic ammo for anything over 7.62 i think... Oo

  • @flyace1902 WTF you talkin' about dude!? People make subsonic loads for calibers all the way up to .50 cal! Check out the .510 Whisper for example... MMMmmmmmmm sex....

  • That was a huge contrast...

  • good noise reduction, especially helpful when shooting next to other folks. they certainly would appreciate it.

  • How old do you have to be to register for a form 1? And how much does it cost after everything is final and you can begin making it? PLEASE REPLY

  • 21 .. $200

  • cool makes it soun like a .22

  • lots of reasons jackass

  • @Mrsheytun but sonic-crack is non directional. So while the shot still makes an audible sound, you'd be hard pressed to pinpoint the location of the shot solely using the sonic boom

  • It's difficult to vector in on the origin of a bullet's path by the "sonic pop" because the bullet is travelling too fast for your brain to interpret doppler effect or register which ear received stimulus first. You would be able to tell if the bullet passed to your right or your left and high or low, but that's about it if you are downrange relative to the shooter. However, you WOULD be able to discern a rough vector like "shot from the NE" if the bullet azimuth was obtuse to your position.

  • @GriffGruff78 Not even close..But well hell not even close..

  • @MrChondro "Not even close... But well hell not even close..." doesn't make sense. Please elaborate..

  • Barret M95?

  • @brydon189 It looks like a m99 due to no magazine and an A-bolt

  • looks like a M99

  • custom silencer ? if not what company ? also... thats an odd looking muzzle break purpose build for the silencer ?

  • Yes, custom silencer on a form 1 and yes the muzzle brake is made to work with the silencer.

  • i think barret should make a fifty cal suppressor, with the mussel brak on it, that would be great

  • i highly doubt that silencer would survive after a mag of use lol

  • It has over 300 rounds thew it.

  • oh wow then i guess it can handle it.....just the sheer power made me doubt it...

  • @jtknno if thats your gun... its nice

  • If you continue typing like that, you are gay.

Youre dead no matter what gun is pointed at you

  • lol

  • please excuse my ignorance, but would a suppressor like that negate the muzzle break completely, and make it kick like a mule? or are you using special ammo for the suppressed one?

  • No special ammo.

Standard mil. surplus m33 ball ammo.

Recoil is a little stiffer than the stock brake.

  • The suppressor helps to act as a muzzle brake... not nearly as effective as the purpose built one though

  • q sonido mas malo es del prim er disparo

  • Great work on a F1. Excellent craftsmanship on your break i saw at arfcom

  • This would be great for sound effects. Thanks.
