I've heard a little about Klonoa: Door to Phantomile before, and that it gets a great deal of praise from critics and players of the game. Klonoa appears to be a cat-like creature, which is quite an original and lovely design. So, this is a side-scrolling platformer, which involves enemies being picked up and thrown, as well as trying to gather important items along the way. Klonoa, too, can flap his fur braids in order to increase his jumping distance. The music was also nicely done.

The only underwhelming aspect I can find is that most of the characters are sprites; I don't dislike this style, but I had thought they would look even more impressive if they were 3D instead (I did figure that Namco may have had some trouble programming that caused to resort to such means). This is a very amazing-looking PlayStation title indeed, and I'm interested in owning and playing it for myself. I wonder how the Wii version would play. I hope that'll get released here soon.

I found Klonoa 2 used at EBgames, but it was hard for me to find, and I picked it up as soon as I found it. And Klonoa was remade on the Wii in Japan. Don't know if it's coming here though.
